Risotto class leaves a bitter taste

Chef required my mom and I to pay an additional $146 (beyond our prepaid $210 multi-course class purchased through Viator) before he let us leave his house. When asked about this surprise, undefined "upgrade", Chef Alex explained he doesn't get the full revenue from Viator. Shakedown Chef has great cooking skills, but his business, communication and people skills could use an upgrade.

You paid for a basic class to Viator, the class you participated in was an upgrade 2 class. I would like to add that the menu I gave you before we started the class did list the class as an upgrade 2 with pricing. You did have a champagne cocktail, the extra entrée (the beet risotto) and the dessert (the crème Brûlée). The class and dinner were 3.5 hours, NOT 2.5 hours. You accepted and consumed those extra food, drink and services. Sorry if it did come as a surprise but I did ask you to get in touch and send me your personal contact to send you our infos and menu, you never did. You had my personal phone number if you had any questions or concerns and choose to not use it. I am sorry you are not fully satisfied with our service, to make it up I will offer a FREE upgrade for 2 guests on any future class (offer valid until May 31st).
