What To Expect

Make your own way to the San Diego waterfront ahead of your chosen start time, and meet your captain and fellow passengers. At check-in, you are provided with a waterproof poncho and plastic bag to help keep your clothing and any valuables dry.

Your jet boat boasts 1,400-horsepower engines for a turbo-charged ride. Hold tight as your expert captain puts the high-powered ocean-going vessel into gear. Zip past the USS Midway, under the iconic Coronado Bridge, and around San Diego Bay, reaching speeds of up to 40 nautical miles per hour (64 kilometers per hour).

A pumping soundtrack of high-energy music plays as your boat zips through the waters of the bay. Enjoy the thrills as your captain executes special maneuvers, such as 360-degree spins and power slides.

During your tour, admire San Diego’s skyline and waterfront attractions including Seaport Village, the Embarcadero, and Coronado Island, and then return to the departure point. Before leaving, check out the souvenir photos and purchase any that you like.

Our party of five (2 middle-aged adults, 3 teenagers) had a blast on the Jet Boat Ride! We were amazed by the maneuverability of the jet boat, and it was so fun to speed around the bay. You get to see all the surrounding sights while ripping around at up to 50 mph, with the occasional 360, and on-point hype music blasting. The boat crew were awesome - professional, friendly, safety-minded. Make sure you secure anything that could blow away, be prepared to get wet, and enjoy the ride. Highly recommend!

Be advised - you'll be soaking wet no matter what

The ride itself was a total blast, but the pouring water wasn't. It's not clearly explained, but even sitting in a relatively dry zone in a poncho doesn't help much, you'll still be soaking wet. Some may enjoy it anyway, but taking this ride before driving back home for a few hrs was a questionable experience.

The first time Was better

Too many sailboats in the bay. The crew of the patriot were trying to find usable space to perform maneuvers but on this day there were just too many small vessels on the water. The first time we rode the patriot was much more exciting. A little disappointed this time but we will probably do it at least one more time.

It was so fun! My 9 year old son loved it! And you will get wet so make sure you grab the poncho they provide. Also wear sunglasses because the speed you go you cannot open your eyes. LOL.

Fun time on the raft boat

This is the second time taking family member for a ride in the fast boat and it thrilled my two nephews (age is 9 and 14). The ride was great, fun and wet. I will suggest to anyone, adult, child or teen to take a ride in the fast boat. Thanks to the help and driver of the fast boat for a wonderful time. My nephews will always remember the ride.

Bad experience drove 4 hours to to get on the patriot jet. We got cancelled giving the option to ride a hour later then got cancelled again! Very disappointing! Do better.

This was my second time experiencing The Patriot jet boat. So much fun! It's definitely an exciting and thrilling way to see San Diego bay. My bestie laughed the whole time! This is perfect during the summer cause you WILL GET WET! People who sat in the front didn't seem to get as wet as the people in the back. This is something the whole family will enjoy as well as young and old people just looking for something fun to do.
