Ian was so knowledgeable and such a nice young man. He made the day so enjoyable. Thank you Ross for guiding us through South Portland and seeing all the lighthouses and going through the cute neighborhoods. We learned a lot about the ship-building industry and history of the Portland area as well. Highly recommend!

What a delightful way to spend a few hours exploring South Portland and seeing the beautiful coast line. Ross was an excellent guide-exploring the history, providing thoughtful instructions, and making great recommendations. This is a must have tour if you’re looking for an active way to explore town.

It was so much fun, very informative and so many pretty places to see. There are a few uphills so if you aren’t a bike rider be aware. I was able to walk the bike if needed.

We booked a 4 hour lighthouse bike tour. It was raining that day so the operator emailed and asked if I would like to reschedule or cancel. I requested for cancellation which they did. That said, Viator never issued the refund. I saw my credit card statement and did not see the refund after 3 weeks. So I called Viator and they said that there is not communication between operator or Viator which is surprising. I had to called Viator and ask them to process my refund for the cancelation. This seems such a waste of time to call and ask for refund when the cancelation was done.

I am sorry for the trouble. This is just the way viator works. If people sign up directly through our website we can process the request instantly!

This is a great bike tour around town! We stopped at 3 great lighthouses! We were able to take a tour of 1 lighthouse and the opportunity to have a lobster roll at the iconic Portland Head lighthouse. Our guide told us a lot about Portland.

Halley was very knowledgeable about all the things along the way to the light houses plus the lighthouses themselves. Bikes were comfortable and ride was not difficult! Highly recommend as an alternative way to get around the south Portland area and to see the sights!

Absolutely loved this tour! So much fun, super knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, and best lobster roll we ever tasted. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

What a wonderful experience! I was lucky to get to do a solo tour with bike shop owner, Leah! She is such a nice person and has a plethora of knowledge about the lighthouses and Portland. Her background story in opening the shop is incredible, so be sure to ask her about that! The information she provided along the tour was so interesting and kept me wanting to learn more! The route we took to see the lighthouses was beautiful, and she provided me with the cutest hand-drawn map of our route after the tour. This was very helpful because I didn’t take photos at every stop and was worried I wouldn’t recall the names of all the lighthouses. We stopped and had a delicious lobster roll along the way - don’t skip out on this. You’ll regret not getting one!
I highly recommend this tour! I would definitely do it again if I return to Portland in the future.

We had so much fun on this lighthouse bike tour. The guide was great! He really knew the history of the area and was enthusiastic and fun to be with. The ride had a few hills but nothing too challenging. It was the perfect way to explore the area. And the lobster rolls for lunch with blueberry soda and whoopie pie made it even better!

Easy pace. Our guide was so informative, the location was great and we were given a water and a snack bar to take with us. We stopped for lunch optional you could have brought your own but I recommend the capris sandwich or lobster roll. So great. Please don’t hesitate to book this. You won’t retreat it

We loved this bike tour! Wonderful guide with so much knowledge, experience and easy conversation. We booked the day before and are so happy we did. The lighthouses were so much fun to get to by bicycle on a beautiful fall day!

The bikes and guides were Top notch. Saw the charming community of South Portland and 6 lighthouses. Also enjoyed lobster roll’s lunch. I recommend this tour.
Lisa_R, Sept 2024
Laura is an expert on the area! Easy to ride bikes! A couple of steep hills, but warns the group and waits for those that want to walk up them! A cloudy September day made a pleasant day trip to the lighthouses while seeing sites u would never see on a car tour. I definitely recommend! And order the Maine-e-ack lobster roll for lunch!
Hitsmanm4, Sept 2024
The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Made for a great day. He allowed us to view some great spots and showed us on of the best lobster rolls places in the state.
ozarkgurl, Sept 2024
The ride was great and the shop owner (Leah) was gracious and flexible after our cruise ship arrival was postponed an hour. We rode about 12 miles and saw 4 lighthouses. We learned about the area, asked plenty of questions and had a fabulous lobster roll (with generous chunks of fresh -not frozen- lobster) and a blueberry soda at the last lighthouse. We would highly recommend this excursion!!
