Very nice, easy to book, train was beautiful, very relaxing and informative. Popcorn was yummy too. Definitely go

Easy access to tickets. Pristine railcars with comfy seats. Great audio narration about the sites and scenes. Very serene, peaceful and reflective and reverent.
Eloise_W, May 2026
I enjoyed the ride and the beautiful scenery. The train was clean, comfortable and on time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would have liked the ride to be longer. The history narration was nice but the volume was low and hard to hear. Overall, it was a good experience but I left feeling like I needed more.

You can bring your own snacks, or buy some on the cart! Great time with me and my 2 year old toddler
Susan_P, May 2026
It was a very relaxing and informative train ride. Our family was very comfortable and enjoyed this very much.
LouAnn_R, May 2026
Very relaxing , beautiful and informative. Great job on renovating the train cars and making them comfortable.
john_h, May 2026
Very slow boring train ride. All that you see are farm fields and woods. It is a ride straight forward and straight back. You see the same scenery on the return.
Roy_G, May 2026
This was a great experience. Nice and relaxing while receiving knowledgeable information. Makes you want to learn more about the civil war.
TERRY_C, May 2026
Informative and guide was very knowledgeable. The overgrown trees and junky yards really take away from the scenery.
Kelly_L, May 2026
It was nice learning about the history and seeing the sights. Train does not move fast so if you get motion sickness like I do I think you’ll be fine.
Very clean and cozy on the train. It has a bathroom and concessions stand with treats

The ride was so relaxing with a friendly atmosphere and friendly informative workers! We will definitely be doing this again!
Vicki_B, Apr 2026
This is a great overview of the area. You can see some battlefields, farms, wooded area and learn some local history. Relaxing ride and comfortable seating.
Barbara_K, Apr 2026
You will be taking a train ride through the woods...we thought we would see more of the battlefield.
Wendy_L, Apr 2026
Very relaxing ride. Nice that it had a concession car to purchase snacks. Also found out you can take food onto train.
Tammy_W, Apr 2026
This was very informative and fun. The train was slow we could actually see the places that were talked about. Beautiful scenery. The person presenting information in our car,1863, was knowledgeable, friendly, and it showed that she likes her job.

A relaxing ride through Adams County! This was a fun, family-friendly experience. Comfortable and clean lounge chairs were available for us to sit as we cruised through the acres and woods. Concession stand included waters, sodas, popcorn, cotton candy, the works. There is no alcohol. This was an easy way to learn a little something while taking it easy.
Cynthia_M, Apr 2026
Make sure that you have a train car number on ticket. We did not have a number printed on our tickets .
SHONTRICE_F, Apr 2026
All the Staff, the checkin, story teller and vending cart folks were all very courteous and the train itself was nice and clean and up to date so no issues there my issue was with the ride itself. It was so basic, only view of basically folks backyards and the Battlefield from a distance we saw a few things in the distance. And we came back the same way we went out...45 minutes there then the train reversed. It was so not worth the money, won't do that again for my first ever train ride.
Kevin_P, Apr 2026
Ride was very relaxing train itself excellent condition learing experience about battle grounds not bad
Julia_L, Apr 2026
It’s out and back and the history and stories were good. The seats are very comfortable and the train very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I have been in several out and back train rides and this compares to most. The secenery isn’t the best and I wished you saw more of the battlefield. But I would recommend if you want a nice comfortable train ride to relax and learn more about Adam’s county.
Pamela_D, Apr 2026
The train personnel were very helpful. We enjoyed our travel. The person on board to give highlights of the area was enjoyable to listen to and learn from.
Diane_G, Apr 2026
Beautiful nature scenery.
The overhead speaker and our host both speaking was a bit much
Some people were disrespectful talking the entire time.
How above alcohol cocktails.
I saw a mom vaping.
Just didn't seem like there was much to see. Could be because it was out last day and we had already visited most places.
Train was gorgeous! Certainly can tell time, effort, thought and $ went into the restoration.
Candace_H, Apr 2026
Super relaxing and informative. Downfall was people constantly going g thru our car for concessions. Maybe have people get concessions before the train departs.
Teresa_G, Apr 2026
Has a lite fare concession stand, clean restrooms and comfortable seating. You do not see battlefields; however you get to enjoy scenery with history lesson.
A_N, Apr 2026
This was not worth the money and a bit misleading. The train guide was very nice and the train seats were comfortable but those were the only pros. You basically take a train largely through farms and people’s backyards and barely learn anything about Gettysburg. Save the money for a good bus tour or do the self-guided car tour.
Michael_A, Apr 2026
Excellently done excursion of the Gettysburg area. Great personnel. Super clean and modern train cars.
Candra_G, Mar 2026
Spotlessly clean train car. Comfortable seating. The narrator was knowledgeable and easy to hear. Excellent access for a family member with mobility issues. The lift was perfect!
Susie_D, Mar 2026
It’s great. Perfect amount of time. Informative. A very nice scenic train ride. Matt was a great conductor/guide.
Laura_K, Mar 2026
We had a great time. Our train guide Matt was awesome. He kept us all entertained and had a lot of knowledge about the area. The train was super nice and very comfortable.
Steve_H, Mar 2026
Very relaxing, informative and Matt our tour guide was excellent.
