Upon meeting your guide at the Barton Springs Bike Rental & Tours office 15 minutes before departure time, you’re fitted onto your pedal-assist electric bike and given a safety demonstration to ensure a fun and safe outing.
There are no out-of-pocket costs here, as your helmet and bike are included.
First, head out to see more of Austin in less time—without squeezing into a bus. Your first stops are the famous Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park area, and the Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial and Bouldin Creek neighborhood.
Continue to south Austin where you visit the “Greetings from Austin” and “I love you so much murals.” Stop to admire views of the Austin Skyline from South Congress and head to downtown.
There, you’ll ride to the Congress Bridge, home of Austin’s famous bat colony, and also stop for coffee and snacks (own expense).
Ride back to Barton Springs, where your tour ends.

Wow! Great tour with Rob! Good blend of riding, stops for photo opportunities and exploration. Wouldn’t change a thing! Well…, maybe a few less rain drops….. We highly recommend this tour!
The e-bike tour was amazing! Peter was so knowledgeable about the area and so much fun telling us the history. Not only is he very engaging while talking you through everything, he is a bike guy through and through. He taught me how to ride a bike properly in no time and I found that I DO like riding bikes. 10/10 recommend

For 2.45 - 3 hrs the e-bike seats are very hard So after a while it’s not comfortable

Our tour guide Peter was great! He helped teach us how to ride an electric bike and shared stories at each stop. Beautiful trails.
We booked this tour as a mural tour in Austin. We were paired with Peter and he ok but didn’t show us any murals. He instead he wasted time discussing the ‘right’ & ‘wrong’ way to start riding your bike. Was annoyed that we started in a seated position. Also got into an argument with an unhoused person. While they were yelling at each other, he got onto us about moving away from the situation, then later got onto us again like we aren’t adults who can chose how we handle a situation.
We made a lot of stops and got rants about history and other random topics instead of the murals we were wanting to see. If I had known ahead of time that this would be the tour, I would have booked a different tour. It was a frustrating experience to have been mansplained to & not see what we came for. Felt like a waste of time and money intended to show an out of town friend the city.
Peter was a great guide. Saw much of Austin and he explained so much. He was patient with us first time E Bikers!
Rob was an amazing tour guide. The route is very easy to follow along and he will show and give you an insider's history of the city and big landmarks. If you're worried about riding in the city. Rob is great at directing you where to ride. We ended up having a personal tour of the city. It was a little hard to get to the shop due to having booked during the ACL Festival. But a LYFT solved that issue. I highly recommend this tour.
Very informative and fun bike tour! Our guide Peter is quite a history buff and shared interesting stories about Texan and Austin history. He navigated the traffic and stops skillfully and made the tour fun!
Avery did an awesome job showing us around Austin. This was our first visit to Austin and I would highly recommend the easy bike ride.
Great bike tour. Rob was chill and showed us a fun intro to Austin. It was hotter than I’m used to, but it wasn’t too bad with the e-bikes.
We had such a great time on our bike tour with Toby! He was extremely knowledgeable, showed us some of the coolest spots in Austin, and made the tour fun and relaxing. Highly recommend Toby if you’re looking for a great way to explore Austin
Toby is a fifth generation Texan who knows Austin like the back of his hand. He has super fun facts, lets you stop to buy chocolate chip cookies and has 14 bottles of water. Highly recommend this ebike tour to get out and about on the bike paths and see Austin properly.
A great way to see the city! The bikes were really easy to use and we took breaks and had plenty of water.
I really enjoyed this tour! It was a really good introduction to Austin. The guide, Peter, was friendly, informative, and fun, and he personalized the tour rather than just give a canned speech. It was informative and entertaining, just the right amount of Austin history and facts. The e-biking is easy and Peter made sure we were safe. I definitely recommend this to others.

First time in Austin decided to do a tour of the city via bike tour. Our tour guide Peter was amazing. He has so much information about the whole city. Highly recommend him!
I was very impressed with this tour. I thought we were going to ride around Barton Springs but we ended up riding 9.98 miles all the way to the Capitol building and around downtown after riding around Barton Springs.
The electric bike made it so easy and I never felt fatigued.
The tour operator brought plenty of water, and that was very welcome, but we also stopped at a couple of places to get food/water/refreshments along the route.
This tour was definitely worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys riding around on a bike.
(They also have one of the softest dogs at the shop. She's a good girl.)
This electric bike tour covered a lot of ground! We went from Barton Springs all the way up to the Capitol. It was definitely the highlight of my trip.
Parking was a bit of a challenge, but otherwise a great central location near the heart of the city center. The staff was friendly, our tour guide (Zac) was professional and informative, and the bikes were in good condition. Our 3-hour bike tour covered a lot of ground and some key spots, I felt satisfied that we received a good overview of the city. There were only two of us on the tour, both of us were introverts, so the tour was a little subdued. But otherwise a good tour and highly recommended.
