Incredible world heritage, wonderful guide - Ambra

We were able to book this guided tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica last minute and we were very glad we did. Ambra was very kind, patient and knowledgeable and she also made sure to include our kid by pointing out some details to her. It was a very busy day at the Vatican Museums, so the visit was a bit hectic. We would have loved slightly deeper explanations, but we do understand that the tour covered a lot of ground and it was meant to be for a general audience with little to no knowledge. Next time i would check if this company offers more in-depth tours for smaller groups, that would be lovely.

Fantastic tour - highly recommended

We just completed this tour with City Wonders and it was fantastic. The communication from the company prior to meeting was excellent. As we waited for our tour to start I watched one of the organisers from this company patiently helping people who couldn’t find their different tour operators. Impressive. Carlo/Charlie was an excellent guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, pacing the tour and his commentary effortlessly. My partner left his hat at one of the stops and he made sure we had an opportunity to retrieve it. I highly recommend this tour, the company and especially Carlo/Charlie , our guide.

Alex is the best!

Alex was an outstanding guide and the absolute highlight of our time in Rome. His Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica tour was incredibly informative — he clearly knows his stuff inside and out — but he keeps everything light-hearted and fun, with great jokes and stories that had our whole group laughing and engaged the entire time. Three-plus hours flew by. The tour company also made everything clear, easy, and streamlined for us from start to finish — meeting instructions, timing, entry, all seamless. You can tell Alex genuinely loves what he does, and the way he brings the history to life made all the difference. We really appreciated his tour and can't recommend Alex highly enough!

The Colosseum experience was so much better than the snafus with the Vatican. This one ran smoothly. The guide, Stefano, was so patient with everyone and easy to understand. He answered all questions courteously and we had the best experience with him. He allowed guests to go on their own once they felt comfortable but most wanted to stay close to his expertise.

Quick introduction to Rome

3 of us did the 3 hour evening tour with Francesca. Francesca is extremely knowledgeable of the geography and history of Rome. As I only had one evening in Rome, it was a great way to see as much of the city as possible. The evening tour misses the daytime crowds and we got time at each location to take photos or walk through squares. Everywhere is flood lit. Francesca nips in and out of alleyways at speed which make the whole experience a rather exciting one! If you want a memorable experience, sit in the back seat facing the traffic !! I loved every minute of it !!

Excellent experience. Might be difficult for people with mobility concerns. Pompeii has a lot of uneven surfaces with high curbs and very slippery in the rain. Our City Wonders tour guide was fantastic Mama (Erica) was full of lots of information. regarding the areas we were driving through. Francesico(driver) kept us safe the entire way. Our local guide Lilly at Pompeii was knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about sharing the stories of Pompeii. Lemon cello tasting was good. Sorrento was nice. Unfortunately for us the day we went it rained for the entire trip. I would recommend.

Skip the line with a guide is the way to go. There is so much to see it is overwhelming. Without a guide you wont know what you are looking at or any of the stories and history. Roberta was our guide and she was wonderful. Funny, knowledgeable, experienced and great with the kids. Well worth the cost.

If you can, take the private tour at night with Isaac! He took us around all the great sights plus Rome at night is electric! We went in the cutest electric Model T and loved it. We got lots of attention! Isaac was kind enough to wait for us as we ran late-even stopped for pastries and gelato!

Excellent Vatican Tour with an Outstanding Guide!

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Vatican with Crown Tours. From the beginning, everything felt well-organized and professional, and it was clear that the company has plenty of experience. Our guide, Roberto, was absolutely excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very clear in his explanations, making the entire visit both interesting and enjoyable. One thing we particularly appreciated was how much time and attention he dedicated to our group. We noticed that he spent considerably more time explaining things than other guides around us, without ever making us feel rushed. He was also very patient when answering questions and made sure everyone stayed together throughout the tour. The price was a little higher than we initially expected, although we believe this was probably because we booked at the very last minute, barely 24 hours in advance. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely book with Crown Tours again. A special thank you to Roberto for making our Vatican visit so memorable. I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Francesca, was very informative and entertaining. I would suggest that Viator give better directions to the meeting point. The meeting point is on the street level of the Colosseum near a blue subway sign showing the Colosseum subway stop, The TOURIKS representative is holding a yellow TOURIKS placard.

This was a great tour given by our guide Elizabetta! She was so informative and moved us along at a very relaxing pace so that we could appreciate everything we were seeing. Being able to “skip the line” pass is very adventagious! A must….as lines are extremely long.

The crown tours and our tourist guide Gene are great, we had a wonderful time exploring the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Besides the under circumstances incident I’ve lost our tickets during the tour in Roman forum and I’ve immediately send a message to them and also contacted them and they response quickly and send our tickets to our tour guide I thought we just do the Roman forum tour and not no continue the colosseum and I am thankful to that they are very accommodating I will definitely recommend this tour company to others. 5 stars for that.thanks
