Excellent guide, well organised small group tour

Very well organised, small group and with ear piece for everyone so no worry if you’re near the back, you don’t miss anything. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We saw all the major points of interest including a couple of spots I’d not seen on previous visits. She also dealt well with some visitors from a cruise ship whose friends had missed the bus and were late, happy to wait a few minutes but misdial of the majority of guests.

The driver was excellent; friendly and very informative with a fantastic playlist! The tour of Pompeii was very much a whistle-stop tour with no time to look at the gift shop at the end but the guide was brilliant and we still saw a lot of the archeological site with a lot of information. The stops along the Sorrento coast and the location for lunch were perfect. A very well thought out trip.

Perfect Day with our family

This was a wonderful tour. Our driver, Gianluca was a joy to talk to and had plenty of interesting information about what we were seeing during our time in the Almalfi coast and while in Pompeii. We felt super comfortable and safe the whole time, which was important when traveling with kids. They communicated with us prior to arriving and were waiting for us when we got off the ship. We would recommend booking the experience with the archeologist. Alfredo was very in depth and made Pompeii a memorable experience we will remember for a lifetime. Vesuvius was also a great time. Although the climb was tough, it was worth the views at the top. Mario was a top notch hiking guide.

A Master Class Given at Pompeii

The entire experience was first rate with Eliana as our tour guide. While my wife and I were a bit worried that much of the information would go over our sons’s heads, it was fantastic. She is not only a tour guide, but THE master archaeologist currently AT Pompeii. She has 25+ years experience digging the site! She tailored the experience to us and our children (who are mini adults) and answered every single question with such authenticity and detail (I.e., colors of the frescos) that it made me realize everything we missed the first time we came 11 years ago on our honeymoon. She has access to everything, and the seas parted when it was obvious everyone knew her. This was secondary to all of nuanced information she gave about the differences in a “business city” like Pompeii versus Rome, a “political city.” What’s more, we were given just the right amount of time to recharge halfway through the tour, making the second half more exciting than the first. We cannot thank Eliana enough for the experience we were provided today. A tour guide is one thing, but a master giving one is quite another.

It was a very hot day...

It was a very hot day when we visited these historical sites. Make sure to bring water and hats and fans when you visit during the summer months. Our tour guide’s name was Vincenzo. He was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He made the ruins and their history relevant. He was also very considerate of the heat and always looking for shaded areas to give us the information about the ruins. He was a great guide and is why we had such a good experience there.

Giovanni thought of everything to make this private boat tour one of the most memorable travel experiences of our lives! From prosecco to beach towels and limoncello to amazing caves....the day is the perfect mix of relaxation and frantic picture taking.
