What a wonderful...
What a wonderful experience learning about Etna and the area around it. Alessandro was a wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed our experience. I would highly recommend it to everyone. I told Alessandro, I'll be back. My grandsons will have a blast!

An Unforgettable Experience Enhanced by an Exceptional Guide!
From the very beginning, our guide Lucas set the tone for a fantastic day. First impressions count, and his were stellar. Lucas was exceptionally friendly, right on time, and very welcoming. Being part of a small group made the tour feel intimate and personalised. Lucas was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly loved what he did, sharing fascinating insights with genuine enthusiasm that brought the region to life. As for the sights, ‘Mamma Etna’ was wonderful, and the overall experience visiting the volcano was simply great. To top it all off, the lunch at Gambino Winery was a lovely experience. The winery is exceptionally well-run, offering delicious food and great wines paired with stunning views. While the breathtaking scenery made it special, the tour's success was mostly thanks to Lucas. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Great option to Cruise excursion
This tour was a great alternative to a similar, higher priced Cruise ship excursion. The directions to the tour office from the ship were confusing and our name was not on the list. However, when I showed by Viator ticket, they added us to the list. Carmelo was an excellent tour guide. He was very aware of the time and made sure we returned prior to our all aboard time. Carmelo shared lots of information about Sicily and the area around Mt. Etna. He also provided water and some treats during the ride. On the way to Etna, we stopped at a local honey farm where we could sample the products available for purchase and use the restroom. Carmelo also pointed out the best spot to take a photo of Etna in the distance. Once at the volcano we had about 1.5 hrs to explore the crater and get a snack. Next, we drove to Taormina and spent time walking along the main street. It is very touristy with lots of shops. Carmelo provided a map and also shared the best spots for street food and cannoli. We had a lovely day exploring these famous areas and would highly recommend this tour.

A Great Way to Experience Taormina
We had such a lovely afternoon with Alessandro. He made the history of Taormina and life in Sicily really interesting, sharing lots of local knowledge that you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed learning about and tasting the local wines at one of the stops. Alessandro was engaging, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his hometown. It was relaxed, informative and a great way to experience the authentic flavours and history of Taormina. We’d definitely recommend this tour.

Sicily may be part of Italy, but this island has a distinct personality unlike anywhere else in the country—as you’ll see from the wide variety of Sicily tours. On the first few days of your trip, you can hike on Europe’s largest active volcano, visit The Godfather filming locations, sample the island’s excellent wine and food, and hit the beach. Then you can explore the historic centers of famous cities, learn to make cannoli, and marvel at the well-preserved remains of ancient Roman villas and Greek (yes, Greek) temples.
