Fun day
It was a long day but totally worth it not to try to navigate it ourselves. The Pompeii portion was informative but I wished we had more time. It was a quick tour maybe 1 1/2 hrs. Our guide was fantastic and informative! Positano was beautiful to see however not great for the weary the walking was only up or down hill!! So glad we did this!

Best tour ever.. Ask for Deny
First things first, everything that Rome has to offer is beautiful and carries so much historical significance. Walking through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s was beyond enriching. But beyond that, Deny from Maya Tours was the best guide I ever could have hoped for.. probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had. She had so much information in her head and she was so engaging. She brought personality and personal insight to the tour which gave it that much more depth. 10 / 10 for the sights.. 15/10 because of Deny.

A fantastic day experience
Take good walking shoes and be prepared, even the geologist tour is not for you if you have knee issues, it was quite the climb! However, we had an amazing day. Our tour guide Chiara was full of interesting facts and presented it all with a smile on her face from 7.30am to 7.30pm. Our driver was excellent, great skills up on Vesuvius. Our geologist, Davide was interesting and knowledgeable, as was our tour guide for Pompeii, Willie, who was a real character! Food was plentiful and tasty for the lunch. I think it was a great value day trip.

Hundreds of years of history in Three Hours-and I liked it!
Easy to locate group; loved the ability to hear the guide via the earphone! Sabrina was interesting, insightful and had the ability to herd us thru the throngs. She answered questions and got us to wonderful photo opportunities. Great morning for our second day in Rome!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

The Eternal City is filled with enough attractions to keep travelers busy sightseeing for days, weeks, or longer. But tear yourself away from Rome on a day trip, and you’ll uncover a world of sights beyond the capital. From the ruins of Pompeii and beaches of the Amalfi Coast, to Tivoli’s historic estates and medieval and Renaissance-era highlights of Tuscany, you’ll find plenty of worthwhile options to justify a day’s absence from Rome. In addition to choosing your day trip spot, you can pick the mode of transport that suits you best—train, private car, boat, or bike.
