Viator is usually reliable and has good guides. I booked a same-day tour in Rome and clicked on an available time slot. I received a booking confirmation immediately. After walking from St Peter’s Square to the Pantheon, we were told by the guide/tour operator that there were no more tickets available and that Viator should not have sold the tickets.
I am finding the Viator website difficult to navigate to request a refund.

Pantheon Guided Tour with Reserved Entry Tickets - Our tour guide Annalisa was excellent. She is an Archeologist so she has the knowledge, appreciation, and passion for the exhibits and the story behind the buildings, sculptures, and paintings. She explained the construction of the Pantheon, the thickness of the walls, the weight of each door (7 tons!) and the Oculus. She explained what happens each year on April 21st and how the sunlight that goes through the Oculus and reflects on the door. It was fascinating. Also the fact that most of the original marble stayed intact in the Pantheon was just amazing! Annalisa’s English was excellent and the way she explained each area sort of takes you back in time to truly appreciate what it was like. She was very personable, down to earth and easy to talk to. She made sure she answered all of our questions. Would love to do another tour with her!

The tour itself was great. Guide Laura was really personable. Be sure to notice the instructions to bring your ID or passport. Very crowded but food and shops nearby to pass the time. The location of the meeting point was not clear so allow plenty of time.

Tour was scheduled for approximately 45 mins and we weren’t disappointed. The tour guide, Leo, was absolutely fantastic and very entertaining. The tour took around 1 hour and was excellent value for money. This is the first time we have used Viator to book a tour and we would highly recommend it. We had to cancel one of the tours planned due to me selecting the incorrect date, and my cancellation was accepted and money refunded. Not the same can be said about all tour agents. A massive thank you to Leo a very knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic guy.

Our guide Eva was passionate and informative! and if you don’t book a tour, then you’re just standing in line with everybody else.
Versus with this Viator, you are in line for about 10 or 15 minutes with your tour guide Eva giving you all the history background before you go in. It was excellent! Book Eva!!

Our guide, Annalise (probably didn’t spell it right), was very knowledgeable and answered the questions of the group. My husband and I learned a lot about the Pantheon. It was fascinating!
