This was such an amazing experience!

Our tour guide was Marianna and SHE WAS THE BEST!!! She was so much fun to hang out with and seriously made us feel like we were just checking places out with a local friend. Highly recommend doing a tour with her!! My husband and I got into Venice in the afternoon and had not figured out the boat taxi system yet and got on the wrong boat heading the wrong direction from meeting point. When we got on the right boat, we got turned around learning all the alleyways and streets getting to meeting point again. Luckily even though we were 7 minutes late, she continually kept in touch with the tour company on where we were and if we needed assistance getting to the rest of our group. Marianna was so gracious despite our tardiness and we began our tour as soon as we got there! “Andiamo!” Highly recommend Marianna and she helped make both my husband and I more brave to try new foods we would have otherwise been too afraid to try.

Wonderful excursion while visiting Venice.

We embarked on our first extended family trip to Italy, looking forward to all the culture, history, and warmth the country can offer. We loved our Venice experience and looked forward to learning about these other famous islands in the Venetian lagoon. Elly is a local who loves Venice, Murano and Burano and it showed. Her enthusiasm for the islands we were visiting and her honest assessment of worthwhile stops, and not so worthwhile stops was refreshing. Elly brought us into the New Murano Gallery, one of the craft glass “factories” on Murano. The demonstration of glass blowing was a real eye opener. Making amazingly shaped colored glass requires multiple craftsmen in a precise choreography to achieve the desired end. We were allowed to photograph and videotape at will, learning that certain details - techniques, sand blends, pigment details, were proprietary despite their openness about teaching us how a high quality, one of a kind textured drinking glass can be made in less than an hour. On the way to Burano we learned about the reason behind the brightly colored homes and got to see the second most tilted tower in Italy. We saw lace being hand-manufactured and it was available for sale at surprisingly reasonable prices. We took a picture of the shop (Dalla Olga - Merletti d’Arrte) because we will likely order from them in the future. Burano has a lot of great shops and restaurant choices and the day we were there it was much less crowded than Venice. A great reason to go in itself. Elly wrapped up by meeting personally with each group to offer advice on their trip in Venice. She helped us select our next dinner choice.

The Venice cooking class was informative with clear instructions. Fun to follow authentic recipes for pasta and Tiramisu. Photos taken, followed by sit-down meal enjoying the fruits of our labours with free-flowing wine. A fabulous class - will book a similar cooking class in another Italian City next time we visit.

This tour was an incredible way to experience two of Venice’s most iconic landmarks. Having the tickets included made everything seamless, and we were able to skip the hassle of waiting in long lines. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace to life with fascinating stories and details that we never would have learned on our own. The Basilica was absolutely breathtaking, with its stunning mosaics and architecture, while the Doge’s Palace offered an amazing glimpse into Venice’s rich political history and beautiful artwork. The pace of the tour was just right, giving us enough time to admire the highlights without feeling rushed. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Venice and its incredible history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Venice. It’s well organized, informative, and truly one of the best ways to experience the city’s most famous landmarks.

Spectacular day trip!

Great day in the mountains! Chiara, our guide, was fantastic! She gave us a lot of information about each area we drove through and visited. She made sure everyone was informed and on time. Sergei, our driver, kept us safe on the winding and narrow roads. Beautiful scenery all day long! The Dolomites, lakes, and towns did not disappoint!! And the stop for cheese and gelato was sooooo good! Highly recommend!

A great get it done in a day tour

This was the perfect way to see the top sights of St Marks cathedral and the doge’s palace. In addition the virtual reality was very cool. What a great way to experience the Venice of yesteryear. I loved the part where you were aboard a Venetian galleon. We probably would have never gone to the corera museum but we figured why not since it was included? We hat a find! The museum is housed in a Hapsburg palace so it was quite a treat. We weren’t about to visit Venice without the obligatory gondola ride and it was fun! Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept a good pace

We had a great time on this tour. It was the perfect amount of time so the younger kids did not get bored with all the history information. The tour guide was easy to understand and made sure the group was always together. Very easy getting through the busy areas! I would do the early tours to reduce the amount of people.

Boat ride with interesting stops

Only go if you like boats. The boat ride was a bit choppy and fairly long, about 25 mins each way. Plus about 15 mins between Murano and Burano. Murano was a stop at a glass factory. About a 10 min demo and then 45 mins in the shop which was lovely like an art gallery. Burano was really amazing. We stopped for a snack and a cold drink and didn’t get much time to wander the streets and look at the shops. The lace demo was interesting, I could have used even more time there. The boat ride took up a good amount of time so consider that part of the experience. I would avoid if you are prone to motion sickness.

Rona Made This Tour Exceptional

If you’re considering this tour, book it! Our guide, Rona, was absolutely outstanding and made this one of the best tours we’ve ever taken. She’s currently studying for her master’s degree in Venice, and her passion for the city’s history and culture really showed. She was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and took us through quieter neighborhoods that helped us avoid the biggest tourist crowds while still seeing the highlights. The walking tour was easily one of the highlights of our time in Venice. One thing to know: the gondola ride at the end is arranged through the local gondola station, where the tour company helps you secure and pay for a ride. The experience you have depends entirely on the gondolier you’re assigned. Ours was pretty quiet and not especially engaging, but it still felt like an authentic Venice experience and definitely checked the gondola ride off our bucket list. Overall, we’d highly recommend this tour… especially if you’re lucky enough to have Rona as your guide. She made the experience memorable, informative, and a lot of fun. Other tourists around us in larger groups wearing headsets looked miserable in comparison.
