What are people saying about Burano

Good tour!
Our guide was excellent and gave us background and history of the 2 island communities. The price was good value. There was just enough time to watch the glass blowing demo before we departed for Burano. There was just enough time to get a pizza on Burano before we left. Take the Vaporetta if you want to have enough time to explore both islands with plenty of time. It would have been better if we had more time to explore.

The glass making is worth it.
The audio on the island ferry was very difficult to hear or understand. The microphone was crackling and the engine was loud. The Murano glass maker demonstration was very enjoyable. Burano was nice to see but definitely a tourist trap. The other stop was forgettable and a waste of precious time

Island hop
Time on Murano and Burano Islands could have been longer. If you are not back for ferry, they will leave you behind.

A must do when visiting Venice!
Mind blowing tour. Highly recommend. I have been to Venice a few times and have been meaning to do this tour, so finally did. Wow! I did not realize how large Venice is and knew nothing about the surrounding islands, very cool. And yes, we did make a few purchases of both Murano glass and Burano lace. It was so great to see the artisan practice and learn about the history. Fabulous!

  • A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.

  • Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.

  • Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.

  • The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
