What are people saying about Burano

It is a leisurely boat...
It is a leisurely boat ride to a few islands. Murano with the glass works was awesome. The church on the second island was closed so there wasn’t much to see, so we rushed through a drink. Burano had tons of shops which we took advantage of.

Artists Heaven
Murano is a wonderful artisan island. The artwork is expensive and thankfully there was no hard sell approach. Burano is a quaint town with lacemakers. Both are worth the visit but we would have liked more time to explore in each island.

Must do this one!
This was a fantastic tour that offered great information on the islands of Murano and Burano. The tour guide was excellent and gave great insights into the daily lives of these islanders. The scenery is majestic. Don’t miss this!

Too little time
Time spent in Murano was a little short. Not enough time to explore the city. Time spent in Burano wat too short to explore the island. A little more time in Murano and a lot more time in Burano would have given this excursion a 5.

Burano
  • A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.

  • Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.

  • Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.

  • The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
