Our tour guide, Roberta, was a local with a great amount of knowledge and experience about the history and architecture of Venice. There is a lot of walking so the 20 to 30 minute gondola ride was a welcome diversion in the middle of the tour. Our lodging were outside the city of Venice so when we exited the bus, we had a 20 minute walk to the starting point of the tour. We were not knowledgeable about the water taxis, so this could've been an option, I suppose. All in all, it is a tour I would recommend to my family and friends.

Our guide was excellent....

Our guide was excellent. The food she chose for us was different at each stop. I loved most of it (except for the mortadella. But that’s just a personal choice). Enjoyed all the wine too. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to how to order at the baccaros.

Wonderful tour, friendly and informative guide

Wonderful tour - our guide was friendly and informative. The pace was good as we got to see the Doge’s Palace and St. Marks Basilica. We had a nice coffee break in between. Then we had about an hour break before our gondola ride which was a bucket list item for us!

We had a great experience on our St. Mark’s Basilica tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job explaining the history and significance of the basilica. The tour was well organized, informative, and kept us engaged throughout. St. Mark’s Basilica is absolutely beautiful, and having a guide helped us appreciate the details and history that we probably would have missed on our own. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Venice!

Great way to see Venice

This is a great private tour to go over the history of Venice and bypass the high traveled alleyways. ( which were very congested) She was very knowledgeable and easy to be with! The tour ended with a gondola ride through the city. Would recommend this trip.

First time in Venice.

If you go in summer just be reminded that the Doge Palace is not air condition and is very warm inside so take a fam and water. Saying that, it was a fantastic tour and our guide was so knowledgeable about everywhere she took us. Lizza was lovely and always encouraged questions and apologised for her English but she needn’t as she was brilliant. The gondola ride was amazing and fun. Would definitely recommend this tour.

A must if you want beautiful and effortless photos in Venice

I'm very happy we chose this activity with a professional photographer. The pictures turned out really awesome and we love them! Our photographer Mary was really great and very attentive and accommodating. We were with a 3.5 year old kid and it was raining a little bit, but she managed to make it very smooth for us and the photos turned out really beautiful. It also allowed us to truly enjoy the gondola ride without being distracted of taking photos ourselves. Strongly recommend!

Our gondolier was professional, navigating the waterways with effortless grace while pointing out a few hidden landmarks along the way.

The only way to truly meet the Queen of the Adriatic…

Our time in Venice was very limited (two days) so we wanted to prioritize getting to know and understand the city and her stories. The tour guided by Lorenzo was the perfect choice for us—he quickly assessed our interests and proceeded to give us a 90 minute guided tour of the city, both the stories behind the well known sites (like the Rialto bridge) as well as taking us into tiny alleyways and passages to get a feel for the Venezia that few tourists ever see. After 90 minutes learning the history, the legends, and the present day realities of the city, we stepped into a gondola that took us so quietly through the canals as the sunset faded and the lights of Venice turned on around us. This tour was a splurge for us, but there is only one Queen in Venice and this is the perfect guide to introduce you. I would do do this again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone coming to visit who wants to step outside the main tourist routes and try being Venetian for an evening.
