What are people saying about Burano

Great for Glass
We had a great time on this tour and spent some real money on Venetian glass. That said, it is as much a shopping excursion as any kind of tour. You are very directly taken to a glass shop on Murano and a lacemaker on Burano when you arrive. That is all you do on Murano. On Burano there is some time to walk around and have a meal or drink.

10/10 tour
Elly was amazing! She was very kind, informative, and gave us excellent recommendations even for after our tour with her. Murano was very interesting to see how they make the glass but Burano was our favorite, we had enough time to grab a bite to eat, shop around, and get a gelato. After a long two weeks in Italy, we enjoyed a later tour time (10am) and it was just perfect for getting lunch during the tour.

Fabulous Day Trip!
This was a fabulous trip to Murano and Burano, we had Gianluca as our guide and he was knowledgeable about both islands. We saw a glass maker create a turtle and watch the steps involved in glassmaking. Then we went to burano for a wonderful lunch at a small out of the way restaurant that was delicious! Wonderful afternoon on both islands highly recommend GianLuca!

Great experience worth the time
The tour was very nice. We suggest to tour operator spend less time in Murano and more time in Burano

Burano
  • A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.

  • Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.

  • Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.

  • The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
