The good point is the islands are very pretty.
Sadly the bad points far outweigh the good, the meeting point instructions are awful, they are not clear at all, and not near where you are supposed to meet. A man holding a small sign at his side is not an efficient way to run a trip. This resulted in pads of people being late so the trip
Starting half an hour late.
The lady speaking on the boat probably had some good knowledge, but you couldn’t hear a word she said.
The timekeeping was shocking half an hour late leaving, 10 minutes late leaving each island, so what is explained as a 3 hour trip was in fact 5 hours, fine if you don’t have time restraints but not good if you have.
Would be better to take a public water taxi to each island than don this trip.

Wonderful trip on the water seeing how glass and lace are made. The time on the boat was so enjoyable. Please, though , do not advertise food and drinks if you’re not going to provide them. It is misleading. Say rather, “food and drinks available for purchase.”

I was very disappointed in this trip
1. This was NOT a round trip. It picked us up at the train station but dropped us off a 38 minute walk away from the train station. They said for 10 euros PER PERSON they would take us back to the train station.
2. This tour was booked for our last day and supposed to run from 10-2. Since I thought we would be dropped back off at the train station I booked 3:30 train tickets to leave Venice. We docked at the other location at 3:45 and then had to speed walk to the station to catch the next train which I had to spend another $100 on buying tickets for
3. This was not a tour. A woman did speak over a loud speaker on the boat but the system was old and static-y. This combined with the wind and waves made everything she said completely impossible to decipher
4. This was really just a long boring boat ride with a tiny bit of island exploration. Majority of this “tour” was spend on a boat looking at water.
5. I think it’s important to note that the glass blowing demonstration is not unique to this tour. Many locations on the island offer free demonstrations. I was looking forward to this and it was literally like a 5 minute thing and anyone can watch, no boat tour necessary
Tbh I would visit the islands again but just get the ferry. It’s cheaper, it’s faster, and you can do it on your own time.

Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience.
We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and would like to clarify a few points for transparency toward all our guests.
Regarding the return: the transfer back to the train station area is included only for tickets that specifically include departure from there. In your case, there was likely some confusion about the departure point—we still allowed you to board from the station instead of San Marco as a courtesy, but the return to that area, not being included in the purchased ticket, required an additional fee, as indicated.
As for the timing: it is not stated anywhere that the tour ends at 2:00 PM, in fact, its not the correct time.
Anyway, the duration may vary depending on several operational factors (lagoon traffic, weather conditions, docking logistics).
Regarding the onboard audio: we use a sound system that is regularly checked and generally clearly audible.
We take all feedback into account to improve our service, and we regret that some aspects did not meet your expectations.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide you with a better experience.
Kind regards,
Consorzio Vidali Group

Stunning glass at Murano and cleverly made.
I loved Burano- more variety, lively and colourful. The staff on the boat very welcoming and felt very safe.

The tour says 2 hours at each island but you only get 45 minutes, this doesn’t give you much time to explore, eat or do the free demo of the glass and lace. Would recommend the hop on hop off if you want more time other than this. The guide and boat crew were great and happy to help with questions

Do not do this tour in summer!! Zero air flow , hot and gas filled air - I mean it’s a boat but they could have fans or something!!
Boat driver was not nice

Terrible do not book. They are completely unprofessional and unorganized. Not only was the boat 30min late but it was overfilled and not everyone fit on it. To top it off the captain of the boat got off the boat holding a beer at 10:30am. Not a good look and it questions the safety of my children who would have been forced to be cramped and standing on this boat they oversold. Save your the time and money book elsewhere.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Dear Customer,
We are sorry that the tour did not live up to your expectations.
A slight delay can sometimes happen when it comes to navigation, for logistical reasons related to both traffic and the changing tides in the lagoon. Venice is in fact a city where many boats operate especially in the summer period.
However, the tour in question took place without problems aboard one of our beautiful boats.
We hope that you can participate again in one of our tours in the future, we will use your feedback to further improve our service.
Greetings,

Met at boat, loaded into bow with minimal air circulation. Cruised to 2nd location where additional guests got on the boat. We were loaded like sardines, little to no breeze at all, everyone sweating profusely. No water or fans available. Tour guide spoke in 3 languages and was very difficult to understand. Reached 1st island in about an hour, filed into a glass demonstration which was neat, but after a miserable boat ride it was too hot to enjoy. Little time to explore, loaded back onto boat headed to next island. Still miserable but at least this was a shorter trip. Enjoyed sometime on Burando and then had to get back on boat to return. To add insult to injury boat didn’t take us back to our port, we had to disembark and get on a second boat that took us back. I would visit the islands again but in a water taxi or private boat. Saving a few dollars isn’t worth it.

To many people on the tour, boat overcrowded. In glass blowing again to many people, the numbers should be restricted 120 people crammed in is ridiculous. .eeting point very hard to find would have been better to choose a jetty number, the guide could always move you when needed.

Do not choose the option to be picked up at the Train Station (KFC) as the tour did not return to this location! Guide suggested the 35min walk back. Fortunately, I was familiar with the Vaporetto so could get back to my pick up point.
The glass making was great but short... the most time was spent with a sales pitch for the shop. Save your money and walk down the path a bit, same items for half the price!
Actual time on the islands is minimal.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Dear customer,
Thank you for your review.
The glass blowing demonstration has a standard limited duration, this is also to avoid spending too much time there and then have the opportunity to visit the rest of the beautiful island of Murano.
We hope to see you on our other tours in the future.
Sincerely,
Consorzio Vidali group

They advertise as max of 15 people but was more like 50 on the boat. You cannot understand the tour guide as she talks so fast. You also don't get much time on each place.
Response from Host, Apr 2025

The tour only gave us short times on both islands Murano and Burano (approx an hour in each) but we only had 2 days in Venice so it suited us. The Glass blowing at Murano would have been interesting if we could have seen what was happening but too many people for that unfortunately. The glass shop attached was extortionately priced but that’d to be expected and you don’t have to buy. It was nice to see that island but Burano was much nicer. That was a beautiful island and well worth seeing. There was a guide on the boat just to point out various landmarks which is all you need. She did a great job in 4 languages. The trip was perfect for us based on cost and timing and I’d recommend for anyone with limited time in Venice.

We got to the location from the coordinates from the booking. We did reach out to let them know we were at the pick up location. As the time got closer we asked if we were in the right place. After the time came and went, we were told the group was picked up. There boat slips on both sides of the building. We were on the wrong side but no one tried to contact us and no refund for the error.

The Murano, glass demonstration was great but we only had like 20 minutes to explore the island afterwards. Burano was more scenic and once again we had less than hour to explore or eat. This tour is 4 hours but needs to be 5 hours to really enjoy and see the sights in both islands.

Very expensive ferry ride. Very unhelpful staff, did not seem very interested in doing the tour. Poorly signposted, the Tour Guide did not have a flag so people knew where they had to be.
Just dropped everyone off on the islands to look after themselves. We could have caught a ferry ourselves to the islands for less money.
Would definitely not recommend this tour to any family of friends travelling to Venice.

The tour itself was fine. We enjoyed seeing Murano and Burano. But, understanding the tour guide was very difficult. She was very fluent in 4 languages, but maybe a pause between the translations would help. What really upset us was the end. The tour was supposed to end at 2:30 where we were picked up. It was almost 3, and they stopped at the 2nd pickup- St Marks square. Then, they told us they were unable to take us back to KFC. We were left scrounging and trying to get back to the train station. It ended up costing us 50 euros and an hour of our time. We missed our train and had to buy another ticket.

The boat was late. We took a small boat to a bigger once which is not mentioned anywhere in the trip details. The group didn't even fit in the boat and many were stuck standing. A few people were left on the dock.
The tour guide was impossible to understand and was turning off the microphone mid-sentence to take phone calls and puff her vape.
The group was HUGE at least 50 people - not the 15 they promise.
BOOK WITH ANYBODY ELSE!!!!!!! THIS TOUR WAS HORRIBLE

The trip says you will have a lace demonstration and that never happened nor was it available to see. The other thing it promotes is a small group no more than 15 people and there was well over 50 people in our group. Although it says English speaking you could barely understand the lady. I gave it a 2 because the islands were nice to see and transportation was good but definitely could have used more time on both.

We wanted to tour both islands and had planned to use the vaporetto but after figuring the time it would take we opted for this tour. It was a 25 min ride to Murano where we had a glass factory demonstration and then 30 min or so to explore on our own. Then back on the boat for a 30 min ride to Burano where we skipped the lace tour and explored the island on our own. We had over an hour and had a wonderful meal at Trattoria de Romano. We had time to eat, take photos and then enjoyed a 30 min ride back to San Marco. Very nice 4 hour "tour".
