The Murano & Burano semi-private tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Venice. Everything was perfectly organized, from the smooth boat ride to the insightful and friendly guide who made the history and traditions of the islands come alive.
Murano was fascinating with its glass-making heritage, and watching a live demonstration was truly impressive. Burano, on the other hand, felt like stepping into a postcard — colorful houses, charming streets, and such a relaxing atmosphere.
The small group size made the whole experience much more enjoyable and personal, allowing us to ask questions and really connect with the guide.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore beyond Venice and discover these beautiful islands in a more intimate and authentic way!

Amazing how quickly and beautiful the glass was made. The blower was aggressive in wanting a tip and I did not like that but overall the tour was worth price.

Small group of 5 in total. Master glass blower produced an exquisite pitcher in no time at all. Experience was short but right as advertised. Really enjoyed it and would do it again.

The tour operator took us from their office to the shop via a 5 min walk. The demonstration was short (5 mins). The artist displayed their prowess and blew a beautiful vase. Then there was a good amount of selling.

When we arrived we had the chance to do a VR experience showing us some history of Venice whilst we waited which was ok.
We had to walk for 5 minutes to get to the glass blowing location and when we got inside we watched a 5 minute demonstration of a man making a vase and a small horse. Even though the guide said he had to speak in English or Italian he proceeded to speak German and French too and did not explain how the glass was made at all.
We were then guided into a shop which was extremely expensive.
I would have liked to have learnt about how the glass is made rather than just some guy saying ooh look he's making a blue vase, or a small horse.
On our ticket it says we would get a small gift. When I asked the guy laughed and said there is no gift sorry, that is wrong.

The demo is very short. It is an opportunity for the glass company to sell to you but it wasn’t a hard sell situation. It was informative and we were glad we did it since we didn’t have time to go to Murano Island.

Dear Guest, we are sorry for your personal comment, please consider that the glassblowing demonstration on Murano's island also includes the commentary of the glassblowing master about the history and tradition of glassblowing and it's appreciated by the clients. At your disposal for further information. Regards.

Since we were unable to go to Murano, this tour was perfect to see how Murano glass products are made.

I thought it was awesome! Such a cool intro to glassblowing. I thought in the info about it it said we would get a tiny glassblown gift, but I must have been mistaken.

Having traveled to Murano for a tour in the past, I felt it was not necessary to make that trip again on this trip, even though I wanted my family to experience the glass blowing process. Going to the local showroom in Venice, we were able to skip the lines, experience the glass blowing, and have the opportunity to see all of the designs. Well worth the time and investment.

Demonstration was very short.
The shop is good sowing off the many different items and colours and techniques if you are intending to buy authentic Murano Glass.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Dear Guest, we are deeply sorry for your personal comment, please consider that the commentary of the glassblowing master, rich of interesting curiosities about the history and tradition of glassblowing, is appreciated by the clients. At your disposal for further information. Regards.

Perfect tour If you want some info on glassblowing with a demonstration without a trip to Murano. Information and interesting.

Horrible. Ripoff.
The mtg place is 15 min to the left in an alley- we found that then found our other tour mtg place- walked around went to mtg place and a girl walked up 15-20 min to the rt between alleys and shops- ww got there and had to wait for a lg group to go- waited at least 15-20 min
. Finally went upstairs and one guy blew a vase w a horse on top maybe 5 min while someone explained-. Then he walked us thru entire gift shop following us saying everything is for sale. Gave us a small piece of glass candy. Just a waste of time. My daughter watched glass blowing at a different place and said it was great. I don't know what we pd for. To watch 5 min? I have seen more at shops around the USA. Don't waste ur money

There was a ten minute demonstration, while they tried to sell us stuff the rest of time. The glass was pricy there, so you are better of buying glass at one of the smaller shops in Venice. Although, I did learn a little bit about making glass during the demonstration, so that was cool.
Peter_K, Apr 2019
The experience was interesting, but its really just a short demonstration of glass blowing, then a brief talk on the Venetian history of glass, and then just a hard sell in the shop. No actual opportunity to do glass blowing.
Scott_L, Dec 2018
the glass blowing demonstration was only about 5-10 mins long at the most. The translator was very good at explaining how they make the glass and the history of murano. if i were to do it again i would book the travel to the different islands and see the glass being made on murano island it self
Courtney_P, Jul 2018
don't waste your time or money. It was 5 minutes of glassblowing and then a hard sell of glass products.
Vijay J, Apr 2018
Great demo but it was only for 5-7 minutes - should be extended to 15 minutes.
fabiana r, Mar 2018
Basically is a visit to a store! they have a 5 minutes presentation by a glassblower and then move on to the saying of glassesprobally made in CHINA!. The experience is just 10 but still... you can walk for free to a store
fabiana r, Mar 2018
horrible! not worth your 10! is basically a visit to a store!
Peter_M, Apr 2017
Amazing craft. I especially liked the marine themed pieces with bubbles in the glass.
Caterina_P, Jan 2017
The tour was fanstastic, we saw and felt the passion of the glass-maker while he was doing this incredible art!
an unforgettable experience!
Nadine H, Nov 2016
Really enjoyable insight into glass blowing although would have been better if we had more time actually watching the glass blowing and not as much time trying to get us to buy from the shop. Our guide was very informative and did make it interesting so I would recommend it
Mark D, Sep 2016
Unfortunately we got lost and never made it to this event.
When we did get our bearings, we still didn't find it.
No one other than out poor sense of direction was at fault.
I'm sure it would have been wonderful!
Becci P, Apr 2016
Very cheap but only lasted 20 mins or so. Saw a guy doing some glassblowing for less than 5 mins and then looked round a shop and got our free gift
Sabine_H, Apr 2023
Vorführung 2 Minuten danach eine Verkaufsveranstaltung! Abzocke! Besser die Vorführung auf Murano besuchen von Get your Guide, dort wird man nicht 20 Minuten lang zum Kauf eines Produkts genötigt!

. Decisamente migliorabile.
