Itinerary
Your tour from Venice to Murano, Torcello, and Burano begins as you board your motorboat and set off across the Venetian Lagoon to your first stop, the island of Murano, which is actually several small isles dissected by a wide canal. Disembark the boat to walk around Murano with your guide.
Visit a glass factory, where you watch a glassblower creating beautiful pieces of glassware, a Murano tradition that dates back to 1291. Hear a bit about the island’s history from your guide, who tells you about Murano’s prosperity in the 1400s and 1500s, when it was the center of glassmaking in Europe. Then go admire other sights like churches decorated with mosaics and other ornamental details.
Next, visit Torcello, an island established between the 5th and 6th centuries, to see its ornate palaces and churches. Highlights include the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remnants of the baptistery in the Church of Santa Fosca. Then head to your third stop, Burano, an island known for its lace production, which dates back to the 16th century and was once the best in Europe. While you visit local shops and a museum to admire high-end lace on display, admire the island’s brightly-colored fishermen’s houses.
Your tour then ends with the return boat ride to Venice.

Make sure you arrive very early and know exactly where you gave to meet at. Our start time said 10:30 we arrived at the location 54 something and there was no directions, apparently we had to go inside to get tickets printed then had to walk further down to catch the boat. We arrived there at 10:06 am thinking we were early but the boat had ledt at 10:00. They did allow us to take the 11:00 boat but their directions are not clear especially if you're not familiar with the area

We could not hear or understand the guide on the boat, going from each island. Not enough time was given on each island.
SeanDale_B, Aug 2026
Was an excellent day out , around 4 1/2 hours. Perfect for those that want a bit of time to explore themselves.
If you want to look around Murano don't spend too much time in the glass factory , even though really interesting you do have a time limit to get back to the boat.

Great trip! Nice to explore other parts of Venice. The schedule was busy, but a welcome break from the busy city center.

Nice to see other parts of Venice and get a view from the water. Burano is a great little island with a cute town.
Sandra_W, Aug 2026
Great value for money. It’s along day so come prepared. Burano was stunning. Would do it again. Great experience.

A great last day holiday trip to save the legs a little and see 3 very distinct islands. Burano by far the nicest with the most to do and see and photograph - could have done with more time there - half a day on Burano alone would have been perfect. Nice variety and very helpful tour guide. Catch from St. Lucia station (outside KFC) for an extra 30 minutes each way to main stop at St. Mark’s.

Easy to find. Friendly staff. Would like a little
More time in Murano but the great glass making experience.

I highly recommend! A great way to see all the islands in a short trip. I really enjoyed the curated tour.

I remember checking out this tour but do not actually remember signing in for it. We had a 2.5 hour trip from cruise to Hotel and there was no way I could have made it. For some reason you used my work email that I didn't have access to

Super fun and cool trip. Great value for the price! Would totally recommend it and would do it again. Loved it

Very disorganized & unclear instructions & rude people. The app listed the pickup location as 10:30am near st Lucia. When we went to pick up the tickets we were asked which location we would get on the boat we asked them which location they suggested as we could be anywhere and they said it didn’t matter. We then confirmed the location and time in the app were okay and they said yes very rudely as if it was a dumb question to ask. Two days later we go to the location at 10:05, and we are told the boat left at 10am because 10:30 is for the other pickup location. So now we can either go on the 10:30 boat which is only 2 islands or wait until 11am (an hour from now) to stick to the 3 islands tour we paid for. The person once again didn’t not even pretend to care and just laughed it off like we were dumb. This was extremely frustrating because it was not written this anywhere on the tickets, and we had clarified it two days prior with the ticket person, and we had arrived 25 minutes early just to be safe and still ended up being wrong. We chose to take the boat an hour later because we had paid for three islands so we were going to get our full experience but this meant we only got back at 4pm instead of 3pm, and we already had a museum booked for 4:30 so we were then unable to eat and had to rush straight to the museum. Also the only real activity included on the tour is a 5 minute glass blowing demonstration that is €5 and free to get to if you already have a public transit pass. The rest is just 45 mins drop offs on islands where you can walk around and see the sites (they are definitely beautiful), but again, you could just do this yourself via water bus and be less rushed.

Very reasonable price - commentary between islands, glass demo and 2 other stops - would recommend it
Karen_A, Jul 2026
This was a great way to see additional islands around Venice. It was a struggle because the guide gave her presentation in three different languages, alternating back-and-forth. It was difficult to understand her at times. But this is a very affordable way to do some sightseeing.
Graham_T, Jul 2026
Turn up early, say 30 minutes. This will allow enough time to find the ticket office (not labelled at Viator - just to the left of the train station steps as you leave), to process the ticket and get the tickets to ride, then enough time to walk to and find the jetty near KFC.
We had a great trip, the glass blowing was fascinating to see, the boat driver was class, very considerate to the conditions the islands are beautiful and a well worth trip!
Bryan_O, Jul 2026
It’s a nice way to see the other islands and you get to see a glass making factory with beautiful work but the tour itself isn’t great.
Betty_H, Jul 2026
Very little knowledge and history of the islands were provided no value to info given. Cattle call approach
Mark_R, Jul 2026
The tour left 30 minutes early and without us!!! The staff at the office didn’t know how to help us and only told us to contact Viator!
David_W, Jul 2026
It was brilliant to get out to these islands! It was worth our time and we were rewarded with beautiful glass making and pictures of the real Venice…
Patrick_S, Jul 2026
It is a leisurely boat ride to a few islands. Murano with the glass works was awesome. The church on the second island was closed so there wasn’t much to see, so we rushed through a drink. Burano had tons of shops which we took advantage of.
Shannon_B, Jul 2026
It was great to view Venice from the water and also experience Murano and Burano. We felt going to Torcello was unnecessary.
Jay_M, Jul 2026
This was a fabulous way to see the island and surrounding islands. We enjoyed this so much. Would definitely do again.
Debra_A, Jul 2026
This tour gives an excellent visual and historic view of the islands near Venice. The tour guide was a great facilitator and provided suggesting that improved the experience. There was much more to see than we even imagined. I highly recommend it.
Jason_J, Jul 2026
Great boat ride and explaining things. Probably would have added a souvenir and food/ drinks. Needs more outside area for panoramic view.
Andreea_H, Jul 2026
This was a waste of time. 50 minutes is not enough time in any of the three beautiful places we visited. In Murano we only had time for the glass factory we visited and nothing else. In Torcello we barely managed to hav lunch at the first place we encountered. Finally in Burano we could walk but it felt more like running because the time was so short. I would definitely visit this islands on my own next time and take time to explore and enjoy.
The boats were on time, the rides were smooth and the guide was ok, gave us a little info about each island.
Alison_B, Jul 2026
Very pleasant experience seeing the different islands but they are all very similar. We enjoyed the boat trips between the islands, however, we couldn't hear the lady too well talking about the different islands. It was enjoyable and value for money and would
recommend.
Laura_W, Jul 2026
First we arrived at the dock at least 15 minutes early. We did not see a guide so sent a text - no reply. We tried calling - no answer. Finally went to the ticket office there at the dock and the boat had already left(5 minutes after we were to leave). The instructions were not clear to go down on the dock. We had to wait for the next tour. The commentary provided by the guide on board was hard to hear and understand. Commentary was in several languages. There is not enough time on each island. It was great to see the glass blowing demonstration but after it, you toured the gift shop and did not have time to tour the island. There is just not enough time allowed for each island.
Diane_T, Jul 2026
We got to the pick up point at 2:03 the boat already left Full disclosure the tour is advertised as a 2:30 start time but it is 2:30 from San Marco island. It is not clear and the tour operator should be more transparent
7bv7wtb4yz, Jul 2026
It’s impossible to hear what the guide has to say about each island as they are trying to speak over the sound. of the boat’s engine . I checked with various other people on the trip and they had the same experience. The only time we could hear was when the boat slowed down on approaching an island and the engine noise dropped .

Never trust this online scam This was my biggest mistake to trust viator. They have a language barrier also
