I thought the sales people at the Marano glass factory were a bit pushy and their prices were higher than stores in Venice. Our guide, David Philips was knowledgeable, personable, and showed great passion in his job

Great experience

I recommend this guided tour to anyone visiting Venice. Our guide Elisa was amazing and was very informative. Highlight of Murano is the glass work and the demonstration of glass making which was fun to watch, note that the time spent at this location is short. Burano was similarly enjoyable with its vibrant and colourful homes and lace making. Time spent at this location was reasonable which allows for a bit of exploration of the island on your own.

Great trip!

Dont recommend.

Jordyn_G, May 2026
Out $60 because the meeting place is completely confusing and they left without us. Dont recommend. Tried to resolve with tour host to get a refund and they refused despite their poor instructions. Now having to result to disputing the charge with my bank.

Unprofessional Service

Andres_C, May 2026
My girlfriend and I booked this activity two hours in advance, and the meeting time according to the app was 2:30 p.m. We arrived at 2:32 p.m., and the boat had already left. We received no communication from the guide, and the instructions for the activity were unclear. We are extremely disappointed with the service we received from this company. Additionally, despite the situation, we were not provided with a refund.

Good Tour at Reasonable Price

Brandy_H, May 2026
This was well worth it for the price. The demos in Murano and Burano are short but that just leaves more time to explore on your own. Murano was fine. But Burano was definitely our favorite.

Professional, confident and competent

It was good for the price. I would’ve gone on my own if I knew how rushed it would be. Really cool islands though.

It was not what we expected.

diane_h, May 2026
The guide, David, talked far too much. There was no explanation of the things we were passing and the information he was giving was way too deep. There was no time to ask questions. And the boat was loud and not open to enjoy the views.

Mary_H, May 2026
Trip was generally fine and boat was nice but it was really difficult to find the departure point with no clear signage and so many companies with boats doing exact same trip - it was chaos and it was only when we tried to board wrong boat that we actually found out where we should be! It took a while to get onto boat too so quite a lot of waiting around and we left half and hour late. Once we got going the trip was fine and guides were good. Murano was a sales pitch but glass blowing demo was short enough and boat moved on quickly. All in all it was fine but could definitely have done without the chaotic start! Think we would just get vaporetto if we ever go back.

Not pleasant

Sue_C, May 2026
Our experience was hampered by scheduling issues with the glass making business and also the ride back. This was the booking company's responsibility.

Good Taste for Islands

Francisco_R, May 2026
Our guide was Ivana and she was great and the crew overall was so helpful with our stroller and toddler. Group size was good (not a lot of people) and the islands are both very beautiful. We ended up having two boats, one smaller one (like the water taxis) and then a big boat on the way back. We had about an hour and 15min on Murano and 2 hours at Burano island. We wished we had more time in Burano since it is so beautiful. They take you to two shops on Burano, one for lace and another biscuits . Overall we had a good time and wished we had a little bit more time on the islands since your free time goes quickly. If you were looking to get a taste of the islands this is a great option.

Beautiful Island trip.

Peter_Y, May 2026
This was very nice inexpensive tour considering was booking it the night before. We did had a hard time finding them, took at 10 minutes to locate them and then we were told they combine two tours into one what means the boat will be very crowded. We were given ear-sets to listen to the guide’s comments. The transmission was very poor especially on boat. I will still recommend it as the price was good and Burano was beautiful. A lot of time to walk around the island and get some gelato and take photos.

An interesting, informative afternoon

David was our guide, he was very entertaining and made us giggle. We learnt a lot about Venice. Very good value for money. I would definitely recommend. Sally and Tim

Murano and Burano

Nikolaos_X, May 2026
Our guide Eleonora was very helpful and gave us many interesting information that made our trip even better. The only disadvantage is that there is not enough time in each Island...so if there are other groups too, you will have a problem with the time.

A wonderful outing

Debra_S, May 2026
Our trip included the Murano glass blowing demonstration along with a chance to purchase from the gift shop. We did experience a delay between islands, not sure of the reason but the boat was about half an hour late in collecting us from Murano. Then onto Burano with all the brightly coloured houses. We saw a lace making demonstration and then visited a local bakery. After this we had free time to explore the shops and to have some lunch before meeting up with the boat to take us back to the starting point.

Wonderful choice!

Olisha_J, Apr 2026
Had a good time but, echoing what others have said about the tour. I felt a bit rushed at our first stop and on our second I almost felt like I had too much time and yet not enough. I think the thought is the second stop is more picturesque and there’s lots of restaurants so you can have lunch, but every restaurant is filled with people so it’s not like you can get a table quickly. Navigating to the meeting spot use the link to map via Viator not the address. They are waiting at the meeting point with a green sign. Overall, lovely experience.

Great trip and very informative guide about the history of Venice and the islands. Particularly loved Burano.

Good trip, a bit rushed...

Bradley_W, Apr 2026
Good trip, a bit rushed on the islands but good to see both in half a day. Don’t buy glass from the demonstration, walk to other shops as it’s MUCH cheaper.

Nice tour to the islands...

Ankit_M, Apr 2026
Nice tour to the islands of Murano and Burano. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable and explained in great details. Comfortable boat ride and sufficient time on both islands to explore.

Just ok.

RyanandBeth_B, Apr 2026
Not quite as described. Far more than 30 people on the trip. Boat probably had appx 80 people and not a speed boat as described (or perhaps that was my mis expectation). Whilst you were given a headset for your language there were other tour (languages) on board and so at the glass making workshop there was 3 X translation for all languages which took a lot of time. It also means you don't see much as there are 80 odd people packed into a small room. The explanations for both glass making and lace both seemed a little bit rushed. Not enough free time to explore Murano but Burano was sufficient :) though I'd instead recommend getting the public boat to both which would be half the price and exploring at your own leisure as there were plenty of ads for glass / pace demonstrations so expect you could get a more intimate experience. It wasnt a complete waste and the guide was nice enough, but could have been much more enjoyable.

Venice Islands

MARIE_K, Apr 2026
To find the meet up person is not easy you have to walk further than I thought. There were so many people going on very crowded. Other than that the tour was fine. The young lady who was a tour prrson was sweet.

Janna_G, Mar 2026
Beautiful tour! The boat tour was perfect. The bakery is amazing. Loved the glassblowing demo and 50% at their shop. We also had time to stop for espresso in Murano and for Chicetti on the water in Burano. The tour guide Allegra gave a great suggestion about where to go. In March it was warm in the morning and then a bit cool on the water. Make sure you wear jackets on cooler days.

Mediocre

Daniella_D, Feb 2026
I did not enjoy this experience for several reasons. 1. It was very difficult to understand the tour guide in English. Between her fair English and the noise of the boat and having to listen through the ear device it was very difficult to process the information. 2. The boat was pretty crammed and you have to step down into it and it’s all enclosed so I felt a feeling of claustrophobia. It was also a very long boat ride getting back. 3. The Murano glass demonstration was not interesting and didn’t explain a lot. The guy giving them demonstration kept walking around, blocking the view of the actual man doing the glass blowing. I understand the glasses handmade, but it was very expensive and definitely not worth it to me. There also wasn’t just not much time on murano. We had 20 minutes after the show to look at the store and walk around the island. It felt very rushed. 4. Burano is cute but it is so overrun with Tourists. Good luck getting a picture and why even bother going. We had 2 1/2 hours there so we were able to have lunch and walk around a bit. To me it felt like a tourist trap and I would not do it again. The tour guide showed us a lace shop & bakery then we had the free time. I chose this tour because I’d rather have gone on a tour them figure out the transportation myself so if you’re not into the Murano glass, you could walk around the island on your own during the demonstration to give you more time I suppose. The islands are very small and they don’t think take much time and with how many people are there I can’t even imagine in high season just would not be worth it to me. I was there in February at low season and it still was overcrowded. Overall, I think it would be more fun to have spent the day roaming the back alley of Venice and having a nice lunch there.

Thank you Claudia!

Jeff_S, Feb 2026
A great way to visit the islands without having to think about anything and get a whole experience! We saw glass blowing, a lace demonstration, and had little cookies. Plenty of free time to explore the islands at your pace and shop. We ate at Burano, shopped at them all! Claudia did a great job telling us about everything we were passing and the history behind it.
