Great tour and excellent guides!

This was a wonderful tour. The sushi experience is high end with a private chef. The Wagyu was excellent as well. It was fun to walk through the nightlife district and see the sights and sounds. Our guides were Yuki and Yuzuki (Yuzu). They were both amazing. They told us all about the region and food we had. They took a genuine interest in us and answering all our questions. They were personable and caring. The best guides you could hope to get. Thank you Yuki and Yuzuki for a memorable tour!

The Essence of Tokyo in 6 Hours!

We could not have been happier with Yuriko and our customized Tokyo highlights tour! As a first-time visitor to Tokyo, traveling with my 22-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter, I was worried about finding activities we would all enjoy. Yuriko suggested a perfect itinerary for us, starting with the Tsujiki fish market, where we sampled delicious fresh fish, scallops, Wagyu beef skewers, and the sweetest Japanese melons. She also recommended a wonderful ceramics store where I purchased one-of-a-kind plates and bowls to ship home. We then toured the Meiji Shrine and a beautiful iris garden, cruised through cool shops and soaked in the Harajuku vibe, and traversed Shibuya Crossing with thousands of other pedestrians. Also, a delicious sushi lunch and an overall amazing day!! Yuriko was incredibly organized, thoughtful, kind, and so knowledgeable about Japanese culture, history, architecture, and food! It was a perfect way to get to know Tokyo in a short amount of time! We cannot wait to return to Tokyo and travel with Yuriko again. She is a true gem.

A fantastic tour for those wanting a local to show off what Tokyo has to offer!

Ikuto-san was a fantatsic and very adaptable guide for our first ever visit to Tokyo! Our tour didn't start off with walk-friendly weather but he was very willing to work around the given conditions. We mainly centered our tour towards the more cultural and nature side of Japan with Akihabara and the Tokyo Skytree as the exceptions. The educational facts and linteractive quizzes he gave us as we headed towards each stop were very intriguing and interesting to learn about. He was efficient at answering any/all questions we had regarding Japanese life/culture. Communication all throughout the tour was very quick and efficient. Also, the food accommodations were incredibly delicious! Our family really enjoyed the tour and getting to know a little about Ikuto-san. I greatly recommend this tour for anyone that's looking to make the most out of their visit in Tokyo and spend some time with a local.

Great food, especially the sushi

We had a great time the food was delicious and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We tasted beef wagyu which melted in your mouth, we had an egg omelette on a stick that was very tasty, we had fish cakes that were very good, we sampled some fish and shrimp chips. We also were mixed up some excellent matcha that was really tasty, and then finished with a sit down sushi meal in a very quaint restaurant which was splendid, as good a sushi meal as we had in our 5 star hotel the night before. I would highly recommend this experience.

Shiki did a nice job…I liked the restaurant portion of the tour learning and trying the different tuna and even the new video portion that we watched on the tablet was informative, learning about the restaurant we ate at. I also enjoyed the other foods we tried in the fish market. Overall good tour!

Authentic Tokyo food experience!

* The Shinjuku food tour was the perfect way to start my trip to Tokyo. I truly felt like we visited authentic shops and had a great variety of food. There’s a decent amount of walking, but the guide Yuta did an amazing job of pacing so the group stayed together as we had a big variation in ages. We took routes to places that jhad us in the back alleys, and unique spaces that give Tokyo it’s character and charm. I felt like this was truly an authentic food tasting experience and highly recommend! If you have a strict diet or aren’t comfortable stepping out of your food zone, this may not be the tour for you, but if you’re adventurous, curious about the world’s best food city, and want to experience food like the locals do, this is perfect for you!
