What are people saying about Tokyo

Lots of delicious food
We really enjoyed exploring the market with Ryo, tried many new things and almost all of them were delicious (you never know until you try). There's such an abundance of choices that it helps to be guided to the best places, and talking to a native while doing so is a lot of fun. Great memories! Also we got to see a glimpse of a funeral ritual at the temple, which was unexpected but very interesting (the building is also amazing). Thanks, Ryo, good luck to you in all your endeavors :)

An excellent fun tour with wonderful hosts. Elena and her colleague from Korea were wonderful.
Elena and her colleague from Korea were marvellous. She was funny, informative and very friendly. Elena who is Spanish learning Japanese in Japan and conducting tours in English is amazing. The organisation was spot on, we had a warm welcome and it got better from there. A great tour.

Food, Fun and New Friends! Thanks Max!
Max was magnificent! Our first evening in Tokyo right off the cruise ship! What could have been better? Small group of 12 strangers who became friends over the course of the evening! So much food at 3 sit down and one stand up food stops! And the food, drinks and sake were all 10/10! Tried new things, learned tons, along with a tour off the Shinjuko area… including a walk through the red light district and Golden Gai! We all had so much fun and so many laughs! Max not only a passionate and wonderful guide, he is also a Sake Sommelier! Have been on my fair share of food tours and this one was by far the best! Thanks Max! Will search you out next time in Tokyo! Highly recommend!

Great times with Yohei!
This has been my most enjoyable tour in Japan so far. While the sightseeing has been nice, to also live in the moment with great food and drinks in the most unique atmospheres of the tiny bars around Shinjuku was incredible. Our guide Yohei had great stories and history to tell, and the recommendations had variety and flair.
Thank you, Yohei!

Delicious Local Specialties
Natsuko was an excellent guide for both the history of Kanazawa and the local cuisine. She asked us questions before the tour to get to know us and customized our experience. She found the perfect Ozecki restaurant for us to try delicious foods like oden broth with bonito flakes and soy sauce, sardine ball, cabbage, tofu, bamboo shoots, FU (local specialty bread soaked in broth), local mountain vegetables, hairy crab, seaweed in vinegar, Jibuni (local broth specialty). We got to know Japanese food on a whole different level!

We had a wonderful tour...
We had a wonderful tour with our guide Yuki. He was so kind, friendly, and accommodated any special requests and needs. The food experience was yummy and so fun. It was great to spend time in the vibrant Shinkuku nightlife with Yuki. My mom wanted to bring him back home to Canada with her! If you have a chance to go on a tour with Yuki just do it. You will be so happy you did!

Family trip, 1st time in Japan
I’m giving this tour 5 stars, but with a caveat! First the 5 stars- Jasmine our tour guide was EXCELLENT!! We had a great time with her, learned a lot about the area, food and Japanese culture. The food was excellent, what we got was truly delicious and we enjoyed it very much, really good gyoza, sushi and chicken wing like we’ve never had, all very good. Now the caveat- there wasn’t very much food! As an American who probably eats too much, the entire tour didn’t supply too much food! We hit 2 restaurants and a dessert spot in the food hall of the mall and the portions were very small. It was slightly more than what I would serve as appetizers at home! After the fact I would say do the tour but don’t come starving hungry or plan on maybe getting a bit more to eat on your own after the tour! But again, excellent guide and food, just not enough of it.

A wonderful blend of sights and tastes
Eriko was an excellent tour guide who spoke English very well and explained the history of the market and offered insightful recommendations. The selection of tastings were all unique and flavorful, and the fish cutting demonstration was insightful. Thank you Eriko!

We had an amazing time....
We had an amazing time. Yoko was so knowledgeable about Tokyo and the sites we visited. She ensure both my adult son and I were both shown areas of interest and provided wonderful information about the area. We visited the fish market and she was able to get us good pricing on delicious sashimi and sushi as well as the fresh strawberries. From there we visited Asakusa Shrine where we learned the history of the buildings and understood more about the Shinto & Buddhist faiths. She also took us to the Robot Cafe which was amazing to see this innovation and what a treat. Lastly she took us to Akihabara so we could find some Anime items for gifts for friends and family back home. By the end we had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back and see more. Thank you Yoko!

Amazing food tour!
Mushfiqur Rahman was an outstanding guide for our Shinjuku food tour. He created a truly personalized experience, taking us to four different spots and thoughtfully weaving in Japanese dining etiquette, local history, and bits of sightseeing along the way. He was incredibly engaging, answered all of our questions with depth and enthusiasm, and offered great recommendations for the rest of our trip. The food was excellent, portions were generous, and we left completely full and happy. It felt like a comprehensive, well-curated introduction to Shinjuku, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

Awesome Tsukiji market tour
The tour was conducted by Nori and couldn’t have been better. He led us through the whole market place, shared information about various japanese foods with us and even showed us how to pray at a shrine. He was very attentive and asked the group what kind of food we’d like to try. He also showed interest in the group and we had some nice conversations. I can totally recommend this tour and want to highlight that Nori was an awesome guide.

Nice local night out in Shibuya
Our guide took us to 3 very different local places that we would not have found otherwise. They offered a variety of different types of food and drinks and we enjoyed it all. We were stuffed and you could drink pretty much all you wanted. We had two others with us and the guide (sorry I am not great with names) and they were all great company. It was a nice night out in Shibuya.
