What are people saying about San Juan

Long but very enjoyable
It was a long but very enjoyable outing. There were a series of hand-offs (one guy picked us up from the hotel and drove us, and others, to the ferry where we had to meet with the tour guide and then another handoff to the kayaking operator). It was a little confusing at times but easily overcome. I easily found vegetarian options for dinner which I wasn’t sure about so that was nice. The kayaking was fun and informative. Overall it was a great outing.

Fun, but adventurous!
This experience was fun, but a little more adventurous than I expected. The "hike" was more of a rock climbing adventure. The rocks are very slippery and tough to climb. Our guide Alex was good, friendly, and knowledgeable, but it would be better to have 2 guides to ensure the safety of the group. (One person to lead the way, and another at the back of the pack.) I recommend this adventure only if you have good balance, are in good physical shape, and know how to swim.

Our tour guide Gabriel...
Our tour guide Gabriel was amazing—he’s incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Rico. He took us through all the historic buildings and monuments in Old San Juan, then on to the rainforest and the beach. He even made sure we got to experience some real, authentic Puerto Rican food along the way.

5 stars! Awesome!
Our food tour with Pablo was INCREDIBLE—5 stars all the way! From the get-go, Pablo was so personable and made sure to check off all our must-dos and answer every question. My youngest daughter loves fruit, and he even found us a fruit stand just for her—such a thoughtful touch! Every stop was seamless, and the food was absolutely amazing. One of the best parts was that Pablo is majoring in history, so he was incredibly knowledgeable about the culture and background of everything we experienced—it felt like a food tour and history tour in one! All the stops were fantastic, and Pablo adjusted perfectly for everyone’s dietary needs and preferences. I won’t spoil any surprises, but trust me—you won’t be disappointed at any stop!

The Puerto Rican capital is a captivating hybrid of urban and nature, colonial heritage and indigenous culture. Whether you want to take a walking tour of Old San Juan, trek to waterfalls and lagoons in El Yunque National Forest, or go behind the scenes at a traditional Bacardi rum factory, San Juan excursions provide options to suit all tastes. Naturally, the island capital also affords plenty of ways to get on the water. A nighttime paddle around Bioluminescent Bay is unforgettable, but you can also go snorkeling, scuba dive with sea turtles, or set sail on a sunset boat cruise.
