We don’t pick up our guests from their accommodations. We’ll meet at Norte Shopping Center in San Juan. Van/bus will be parked at the shopping center parking lot. Your tour guide will contact you before departure at the number provided during reservation.

Meet up with your fellow travelers in the heart of San Juan and take a van out to the eastern side of El Yunque National Forest, where your adventure begins. Hike for around 25 minutes until you reach a waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip or take a rope swing into the water. Hike for another 15 minutes to reach a swimming hole with a natural rock slide. As you explore, listen to your guide explain to you about the history, flora, and fauna of the surrounding rainforest.
After your hiking and swimming adventure, head to a family-owned restaurant to dine on homestyle food (at your own expense) before making your way back to San Juan.

- Safety is our priority, in order for you to enjoy the experience to its fullest we may have to slightly forward or delay your start time after reservations are made, to avoid heavy flow of people and betterment of the experience. The notification will be sent by email the evening prior the tour.

The chances of being assigned to different tour guides are high, and changes can't be made on the day of the tour ** IMPORTANT: Don’t use the “Special Requirements “ field, contact the provider or notify Viator Customer Support directly.
- We recommend shoes that you won’t mind getting wet and muddy, that have a good grip and thick sole. Sneakers, water shoes or hiking sandals that cover your toes are the best option. Be mindful that sandals, flip flops, croccs or slides are not allowed as it can be dangerous once wet or muddy.
- If you’re using UBER services you can use “Deli Plaza Loiza (Norte)” **KEEP IN MIND we have no affiliation with Uber nor we have any way to change the location or the names in their systems. The name provided for the meeting point in Uber system can change at any point, confirm location through your map and the location of Norte Shopping Center, San Juan.
- Pictures AREN’T part of this experience, if you’d like to bring your phone with you keep in mind you should have a waterproof pouch in order to protect it as it can get damaged during the excursion. Some guides will take pictures which they will share after the tour is done.
- OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Food stop WON’T be available for tours at 1:00 pm. Our guests are welcome to bring snacks and water, no alcoholic beverages.
- Running late / Cancelling under 24 hrs prior the tour: Contact your assigned tour guide directly to inform them your ETA, they can give a 5 min grace period if they’re informed. If you arrive late you will be considered a NO SHOW meaning no refund or reschedule will be provided. Cancellations under 24 hrs prior the tour won’t be honored and NO refund will be provided.

I had so much fun exploring the rainforest! It was so beautiful! We had so much fun going down the rock water slides, jumping off the rocks, and jumping off with the rope! I totally recommend this to everyone! Mario our guide was the best! He was so knowledgeable, nice, and took nice videos of us going down the slides! He also took nice pictures! Thank you Mario for being the best tour guide! You made the event very memorable and fun!

I went alone and was a bit nervous since I was solo traveling. But the guide was super cool and made sure we were safe and had a blast. That guy is amazing; he knows the area inside and out. I'd totally recommend doing this. They even took us to eat somewhere along the way and it was really good. We left on time and got back on time.
This was an amazing experience! I highly recommend! From the challenges of climbing, the views were spectacular. GIAN was the best guide EVER! He was sweet, funny, n very knowledgeable about everything is the forest. I’m so happy I did this. I’m afraid of heights, but he gave me the pep talk that made me jump off the cliff n it was so exhilarating and rewarding. 5 out of 5 stars!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Puerto Rico, I highly recommend taking this El Yunque tour—especially with Gino as your guide. He’s an amazing person who made the whole day special for everyone. Knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the rainforest, he turned the tour into something truly memorable.
From the waterfalls to the trails and everything in between, the experience was fantastic. Gino made sure we all had an incredible time. Can’t recommend it enough!

The tour was well thought out, and notifications were sent clearly about instructions through email. Once we were on the bus and on the way, the hour-ish drive seemed short while talking to others. Once at the site of the tour, we were paired up with Jeremy. He was an awesome tour guide, giving us knowledge about some of the local flora on the way to the falls. He really knows his footing around the trails, and made sure to give people who aren't too used to climbing rocks some pointers on how to safely scale up, also offering a hand in support to get up that final step or two.
If there would be any room for criticism, I'd say to maybe extend the 1 hour lunch break at Luquillo to maybe 90 minutes, as a lot of the restaurants are on "Island Time" and aren't very fast. Even the restaurant right in front of the bus took the whole hour to get one round of drinks, lunch, and the check.
Overall for the price, I'd definitely take the tour again, and I'd ask for Jeremy for the overall vibe and fun of having him as a guide.

Communication was excellent from the beginning. Jonathan, our tour driver, texted us with clear instructions on where to meet and what time. He was prompt and on time. Our departure was delayed because some guests arrived without the proper credentials, and another group had incorrect information, but Jonathan handled everything professionally and even accommodated them. Once we were on our way, he got us to El Yunque safely and without incident.
At El Yunque, we were split into three groups. Our main guide was Jeremy, with Jonathan also joining us. They gave us the option of taking the shorter paved route or the longer trail/stream route with mud, stairs, and plenty of nature and adventure. We chose the long way—and it was absolutely worth it!
Jeremy was an excellent guide. Along the way, he shared interesting information about the stream and the wildlife and plants we encountered, including Mountain Mullet/Dajao fish, Bulgarian Bamboo, Shy Leaf, Giant Fern, and the Puerto Rico Coconut Palm (apparently the edible coconut were brought by Spaniards from the Philippines [not native in PR]). He also did a great job guiding us through the trail, pointing out where to step and where not to step.
We eventually made it to the natural rock slides safe and sound. Jeremy gave us clear instructions on how to safely enjoy them. There were two slides—a shorter one and a longer one. From there, we headed to the cliff-jump area, where you could choose from a low jump (about 3 ft), medium (5 ft), or high (10 ft). The final adventure was the rope swing. Jeremy recorded each person when it was their turn, which was a nice.
One thing we really appreciated was that none of the El Yunque water activities were pressured. If you weren’t comfortable doing something, you could simply wait at the bottom of the stream until the group returned. That said, if you’re a thrill seeker—or just have the guts for it —I’d definitely recommend trying them all!
A special shout-out to Gia and Jessie?? as well. They were making sure their groups were on point, safe, and having a great experience throughout the adventure. It was clear that the entire guide team was working together to make the day enjoyable.
Our final adventure was the drive back to Luquillo Beach with Jonathan. There were plenty of food choices (called food kiosko & they are numbered), although food is on your own. You can even bring your food right onto the beach. The water was calm and clear, although the beach was packed. We were told Sundays are especially busy—and they weren’t kidding! Parking was nearly impossible, and Jonathan ended up driving around for about an hour and 15 minutes while we enjoyed the beach. Definitely glad we weren’t the ones driving!
All in all, this was a fantastic adventure. Great communication, knowledgeable and safety-conscious guides, exciting activities, beautiful scenery, and a team that genuinely seemed to care about everyone having a good experience.
Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, active, and adventurous way to experience El Yunque!

Make sure you wear shoes with good grip and you can walk through water with, I wore teva sandals. Also, you will be able to leave your belongings in the van if needed!

Our guide Jeffery was amazing!!! He was very attentive and caring, and safety was his priority. Reassurance was key, and he didn’t push you to do anything you didn’t feel comfortable with, and we knew we were in good hands hiking in the rainforest. We learned so much. Brian has to be the best bus driver I have ever seen! Luis was a great tour guide, extremely charismatic. He definitely added a lot of energy to the hike. It was an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend! Ps apply sunscreen and bug spray ahead of time, and no need to bring anything other than your water shoes and water. You dry off pretty quickly with the heat.

Don’t book if you’re not ready to sweat a little but it’s so worth the views and adrenaline rush. Miguel Luis and Jonathan were truly amazing and showed us every little thing about the rainforest. The guides were so good with a lot of situations even riding down the water slide with a traveler who was scared. I think I would do this a thousand times over because the views jumps and water was amazing. Our whole group of 8 enjoyed this tour!

Our tour guide Mardi was OUTSTANDING, my man deserves a raise from whatever they're paying him. The hiking and views were amazing and a once in a lifetime experience. Mardi was incredibly knowledgeable, charismatic, and hilarious. If you take this tour and have the opportunity to have him as a tour guide you will not be disappointed.
Post El Yunque tour we had about an hour to eat from soo many amazing restaurants. If you plan on buying food and drinks be prepared to spend $20-$40, but worth the money in my opinion!
Communication for the pickup location logistics was amazing and easy to navigate. Bring shoes and clothes that WILL get wet as you hike through the river water at various points.

hands down if it weren’t for sebastian i don’t think this tour would have been as fun as it was. it was awesome seeing someone so connected and grounded with nature !!! you could tell he was very passionate to share the beauty of mother nature especially yunque . the cool part was seeing him so calmly walking around the rainforest barefoot lol.
the rainforest is beautiful , you can hear the coqui frogs and wow the nature is beautiful there! ride was smooth , the trip to luquillo to eat our food was awesome , and everything was amazing . thank you sebastian for watching out for all of his and giving us a lifetime memory to remember 🤙🏽

The rafting experience would have been great but for the lack of adequate safety instructions. Our instructor failed to clearly communicate how our feet should be secured for those not sitting in the front of the raft. Additionally, she did not effectively go over safety procedures in the event that we were met with a large wave, which ended up happening and led to two passengers falling off the raft. Luckily, everyone managed to get out safely but it was still a frightening experience. This company should be training all of its guides in thoroughly explaining what passengers should do in the event of a large wave and letting passengers know to act quickly, particularly for first-timers. The passengers who fell off the raft were also asked to sign that they had no injuries in a notebook that contained pages and pages of similar incidents around the same timeframe, so this seems like a broader issue, not just an isolated incident.
Jésus was a great tour guide. Good sense of humor. Made everyone feel comfortable. Surpassed our expectations!
