We don’t pick up our guests from their accommodations. We’ll meet at Norte Shopping Center in San Juan. Van/bus will be parked at the shopping center parking lot. Your tour guide will contact you before departure at the number provided during reservation.

Meet up with your fellow travelers in the heart of San Juan and take a van out to the eastern side of El Yunque National Forest, where your adventure begins. Hike for around 25 minutes until you reach a waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip or take a rope swing into the water. Hike for another 15 minutes to reach a swimming hole with a natural rock slide. As you explore, listen to your guide explain to you about the history, flora, and fauna of the surrounding rainforest.
After your hiking and swimming adventure, head to a family-owned restaurant to dine on homestyle food (at your own expense) before making your way back to San Juan.

- Safety is our priority, in order for you to enjoy the experience to its fullest we may have to slightly forward or delay your start time after reservations are made, to avoid heavy flow of people and betterment of the experience. The notification will be sent by email the evening prior the tour.
- ** If you're traveling with a group but reserved your space separately, you have to notify us that you're together. The chances of being assigned to different tour guides are high, and changes can't be made on the day of the tour ** IMPORTANT: Don’t use the “Special Requirements “ field, contact the provider or notify Viator Customer Support directly.
- We recommend shoes that you won’t mind getting wet and muddy, that have a good grip and thick sole. Sneakers, water shoes or hiking sandals that cover your toes are the best option. Be mindful that sandals, flip flops, croccs or slides are not allowed as it can be dangerous once wet or muddy.
- If you’re using UBER services you can use “Deli Plaza Loiza (Norte)” **KEEP IN MIND we have no affiliation with Uber nor we have any way to change the location or the names in their systems. The name provided for the meeting point in Uber system can change at any point, confirm location through your map and the location of Norte Shopping Center, San Juan.
- Pictures AREN’T part of this experience, if you’d like to bring your phone with you keep in mind you should have a waterproof pouch in order to protect it as it can get damaged during the excursion. Some guides will take pictures which they will share after the tour is done. It’s not their obligation to send this pictures to you after you’ve parted ways
- OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

I had so much fun exploring the rainforest! It was so beautiful! We had so much fun going down the rock water slides, jumping off the rocks, and jumping off with the rope! I totally recommend this to everyone! Mario our guide was the best! He was so knowledgeable, nice, and took nice videos of us going down the slides! He also took nice pictures! Thank you Mario for being the best tour guide! You made the event very memorable and fun!

We had a great experience with Gian this past week. The hike is pretty short but there are some steep areas, the waterslide and rope swing and rock jump were super fun but a little scary for my eight year-old. He was the youngest kid I saw participate in these activities so keep that in mind. The tour guides were knowledgeable. I wish the swimming hole had been a little bit less crowded, but we had a fantastic experience overall! Bring meds for the bus if you are prone to motion sickness!

Victor was a very good tour guide! I would say to make sure you bring water shoes and if you want to do the water activities, prepare to step on some slippery rocks.

To really enjoy this experience do as they recommend. Wear shoes that can be submerged in water and good enough for moderate hiking. Wear your bathing suit and expect some parts of the walk to be challenging. Also, have waterproof case for your phone. Great fun!

Our tour guide was calling me and texting saying that we left witthout paying for some phone photos he took from his phone. Remind you I did not ask him to send me these i just assumed he wanted to send them, i quickly deleted them when i saw his message and just so you know he didnt had to be rude and frank about it. We are content creators and were making content. Thank you, besides the rest spot is beautiful.

The booking process was very simple. Easy to navigate the website. Great communication, reminders and updates about our upcoming excursions. The day of our excursion Marty, our tour guide called me to make sure we knew where to meet, we like the fact it was a small group. What’s on the bus? We had an hour long trip to El Yunque. Marty did a great job pointing out landmarks and other facts about Puerto Rico. The hime was fairly moderate until we got to the rocks leading to the waterfall and waterslide. You definitely need to be agile to maneuver the rocks and not slip. Once we got to the top of the waterfall, we had a great time going down the slide. It was also lots of fun cliff jumping and swinging off the ropes. The water was nice and cool and very refreshing. After we finish and went back to the bus, Marty took us to the Kiosk in Pinones for lunch. We ate at #38 and the food and drinks were great. We walked down to the Luquilla Beach and grab a cocktail for the trip back. Overall it was a great experience and Marty was excellent.

Amazing experience, the clime was challenging but it’s all part of the expirience, I wouldn’t suggest this activity for kids since it requires hiking, and majority of the activities is jumping off cliffs and a water slide that’s made of rocks. The whole experience was amazing, our tour guide took care of us the whole way and made sure we all had fun. Our tour guide Miguelito took us on a hike through the forest and led us to the swimming pond. Further ahead we went cliff jumping and to a rope swing into the water. My phone that had a water proof case got lost going down the rock water slide and our tour guide got goggles and retrieved it for me. Fortunately it still worked. Afterwards they drove us back to get some food at these restaurants/bars and lastly took us back to the meeting place.

We loved our tour guide, Jesus. I loved how he stopped to talk about the plants. The water activities were exciting and we wanted to do them over and over. Jesus made us feel safe! We highly recommend this tour!

What an incredible experience! I highly recommend wearing comfortable water shoes with good grip for walking through the river, it will make the adventure even more enjoyable.
Ashley and Jonathan stayed close to the group throughout the entire tour. They were professional, friendly, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable from start to finish.
I highly recommend this experience and would absolutely do it again. 100% recommended!

Our guide was Giancarlo, he was knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun. My son is 12 and he needed a little confidence boost to do the slide but he was so glad he did it. There was accommodation for people who chose not to do the slide as well.

Our guide Miguelito was excellent and he helped make sure our kids (age 5 and 8) had the best time they could. However, I wouldn’t recommend this for kids this age since the slide is high and the rope swing is just a rope so not really kid appropriate. The adults and teenagers were able to enjoy all the activities and they loved it. I would recommend this tour for those 12 and up. You take a short walk to the river then enjoy swimming in the river and rope swing or cliff jump, then a short hike up river to the rock slide. It was just a little long for the kids to be hanging out in the river (water is a little chilly and we did this in July).

Super fun experience and Miguelito was great guide! Couple things I would have liked to know before- hike isnt so much a hike but a 1 mile walk into the forest (some incline). From there, you are at the water and then the climb back is a lot of rocks and some climbing, really fun. Appropriate shoes- you actually wear your shoes in the water so be prepped for that, not so much mud ok our trek, just water. Water shoes seemed to work for my kiddo, I had water resistant hiking shoes. You can bring water, change of clothes, etc but on the hike, you're only allowed (and only want) water. Everything else stays at the entrance. Less rainforest education, more waterfall exploration but we did learn some about the plants, Puerto Rican history, and impact of Hurrican Maria.

Had a great time visiting El Yunque for the first time. Sebastian was our tour guide and he was very upbeat, informative about the history of the forest and kept us safe during our hike and climbing. He even took pictures and videos of us and air dropped them at the end! Saito was our driver on the bus & was friendly and kept the energy up during the 1+ hour drive from the meet up spot. I definitely recommend this tour!

Be sure to wear good walking/hiking shoes and comfortable clothes. Even if you have a hard time keeping up, push through, the tour guides are supportive and motivate.
Although it’s a lot of walking and climbing it is a very fulfilling experience. By the end of the experience, you will definitely have a good memory to talk about.
Orlando and Xiana (unsure of the spelling) were absolutely fantastic start to finish. They are very informative and personable. It’s great to see the love and care they put into their jobs. Couldn’t have asked for a better set of tour guides, will definitely be returning.

I went solo traveling and OMG!!!! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I would do this adventure over and over again, without getting tired of nature, natural spring water, the cliffs and mountains! I would definitely recommend. Everyone kept up with each other and looked after me (solo traveler). BOOK IT & DO IT!!!

The hiking to the water experience was not too intense. The trees were an amazing sight. The hike to the water slide required more stamina and strength. The slide itself was a lot of fun. Our guide, Gian, was very informative about the national rainforest which made the tour very interesting. He provided videos of the waters slide to everyone. I would highly recommend taking the tour with both Gian and Majorca.
