I had so much fun exploring the rainforest! It was so beautiful! We had so much fun going down the rock water slides, jumping off the rocks, and jumping off with the rope! I totally recommend this to everyone! Mario our guide was the best! He was so knowledgeable, nice, and took nice videos of us going down the slides! He also took nice pictures! Thank you Mario for being the best tour guide! You made the event very memorable and fun!

This tour was honestly one of the highlights of our entire trip to Puerto Rico. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful, well-paced, and genuinely special.
Bryan, our guide (and owner), made the experience what it was. He’s incredibly kind, welcoming, and you can tell his heart is truly in sharing Puerto Rico with people—not just running a tour. He created such a comfortable, fun atmosphere and made everyone feel connected, while also sharing meaningful insights about the rainforest, its history, and the local culture.
The hike itself was very manageable—not too strenuous at all—and absolutely worth it. The waterfalls were stunning, and there was fresh water for swimming, and a rope swing and rock slide to enjoy. It never felt rushed, which made it even more enjoyable.
And the ending was perfect. The stop at a family-owned restaurant on the way back was such an authentic touch. It ended up being one of the best meals we had the entire trip—true Puerto Rican food.
If you’re considering this tour, do it. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, scenery, culture, and genuinely great people. I would 100% recommend it.

This experience was the perfect blend of activity, culture, and fun. Our tour guide Andrea was the best, she shared so much culture and knowledge about the history of el yunque, showed us ginger plants, and expertly guided us through some of the tougher parts of the terrain. I had so much fun in her group, easily one of the best tour guides i have ever had. Also shoutout to our bus driver Jonathan who also helped us out on the trails and never made me doubt the safety of my belongings or myself of the rides there and back from the hike. My sister and I did this on our 5 day trip to old San Juan and it was the perfect day trip especially for if you don’t have a car and are staying in that area. Thank you Andrea and Jonathan!!

It was an easy hike to the spot but getting to the slide was definitely a bit difficult. Climbing up and down rocks and boulders. Our guide was extremely helpful. I left my phone on the bus but several people brought theirs and I wish I had done the same to take pictures and videos. We got a video each going down the slide and jumping off the cliffs. 2 pictures at the beginning and at the end. I wish I had more pictures/videos, but fun experience overall. We rode a school bus there and back. The lunch afterwards was not great and expensive. Our guide Gian was very friendly and helpful.

This was such a fun experience to do while in the San Juan area. Our guides M&M (Miguelito & Mitchell) were AMAZING guides and made the adventure even better. They even took our group to an 'extra' natural slide - The Washing Machine. Although a bit crazy, it was awesome to say we did that one. Loved & appreciated that they gave us a little extra. I reached out to tour company about the shoes to wear as I have a 'closed toed' type of Teva, but they recommended to wear old tennis shoes. I do feel that the closed toe Tevas would have been fine for this, but I definitely do recommend old shoes as they will get muddy (we took old shoes and then just threw them away). The rocks are slippery at times and I had to do some big steps up (hard with little legs), but Mitchell basically lifted me up by hand - which was appreciated. We also appreciated the photos and videos that the guide took and later shared with us. The lunch stop (food not included in tour) as basically a place with lots of bars/restaurants to choose from. You just get a certain amount of time in area and then meet back up with the bus (bus driver Jonathan was great as well - he could get that big bus in tight quarters). Definitely recommend!!

I had such a great time. My tour guide was Dion and he was nothing short of an amazing person/guide. The hike was great and was definitely an experience. Overall 10/10!!
Tatiana_t, Apr 2026
The rainforest is absolutely beautiful... but you must wear non-slippery sneakers.. the tour guy that we had was not very helpful... i did this excursion with my boyfriend his male friend, and they both helped all the women in our group up the rocks (even helped the woman we did not know).. tour guy could've been a little bit better... also he tried to AirDrop the photos to someone in our group, but unfortunately, when she got home, she could not find it. I asked him to resend it and he made it seem like he couldn't. I would have to meet him in person which I find kind of ridiculous. anyways rainforest was beautiful and it is a great workout

My experience was amazing! Gian was so nice and helpful. Great views and memories were definitely made! Thank you!
Lynne_R, Apr 2026
The people who run this company are very good at their jobs. They are knowledgeable about the routes and plants, and are very active. Miguelito was assigned to my group. I have some health limitations, but no heart issues, so I thought I could handle our hike. Boy was I wrong! The rock climbing was very steep, slippery, and uneven, but the weather was perfect! Our guide pushed me past my limits, but luckily I made it! It was challenging holding onto the rocks and a water bottle at the same time! I highly recommend NOT going to the top if you have any pain or range of motion issues! Bring grippy shoes, quick dry clothing, 🕶, sunscreen before you leave, ice water that hooks onto your life jacket, and a waterproof case for your phone with a lanyard! Miguelito had a tough group with us. I was the slow weak link, and my son was the vivacious talkative one, and a poor girl injured a knee and he had to carry her! Overall, he handled it like a champ! Be sure to tip your guides!
The best part of the whole experience was the cool clear water, waterfalls and slides!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hey Lynne! Miguelito truly goes above and beyond, and it’s great to hear how well he handled everything and supported the group through a tough hike. We also appreciate you highlighting the physical demands and helpful tips—that’s super valuable for future guests. And yes… those clear waters, waterfalls, and slides make it all worth it in the end! Thank you again for the recommendation, and we hope to see you back again!
Dania_G, Apr 2026
Best experience of my life! Beautiful nature hike then the coolest rock climbing/walking path ever. Amazing water, gorgeous plants, great tour guide! Such an incredible vibe!!! The best thing I’ve done on my visit so far!! Went solo and didn’t feel out of the group.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
We’re so glad this was the highlight of your trip—that’s exactly what we aim for. Love that you enjoyed the hike, the climbing, and the overall vibe—and even better that you felt comfortable joining solo and still part of the group.
We truly appreciate you sharing this and hope to have you back again soon for another unforgettable adventure!

All I can say is wow!
We started the day by meeting in a store parking lot (you can leave your car - free parking!) We were taken by a nice, air-conditioned school bus to the rainforest. It was about an hour ride. Once there, we were divided into groups to go with different tour guides. The groups were small, about 10 people per group. We were given life jackets and we left our belongings in the guide's locked vehicle. The life jackets have a small pocket on them, just big enough to hold a cell phone or whatever else. Sebastian was our guide and he was so fun! His was full of knowledge and gave us all a great time! His dog came with us which truly was one of the highlights of the day! The tour... Let me start by saying this is not for the weak! I'm an active person, but not a fit person. This tour kicked my behind! (but I would do it a hundred times again!) There are a lot of steep areas, lots of climbing, stepping over ginormous tree roots and climbing up boulders. It was exhausting and terrifying but an absolute blast! Part way through the hike we reached what I'll call the half-way point. At this point you can lounge in the river and enjoy nature, or you can continue the hike up higher (this was the scary part) to participate in the natural water slide and do cliff jumping or use the rope swing. It was one of the funnest times I've ever had! Sebastian took lots of pictures to share afterwards. Once done, we hiked back to the beginning. Sebastian shared lots of info about the rainforest! Once back to the beginning we hopped on the bus and started to head back. The bus stopped on the way back for us to get food and see the beach. There are tons of places to order food and a few places to shop. This part sadly only lasted about an hour, that is my only negative review about the entire experience. By the time we decided what we wanted to eat, ordered it and waited for it, we only had about 20 minutes to see the beach (which is absolutely stunning!) I'd highly recommend this tour! (just be aware it's very physically taxing)
Nickolas_L, Apr 2026
Mario was a great guide very friendly and his playlist on the bus set the vibe for the day…. Very safe and my kids(10,16,18) all agreed best experience of our entire 9 days on the island. Can’t go wrong choosing this one.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
We’re so glad your whole family had such a great time—and that it was the highlight of your trip, that means a lot. Mario really knows how to set the vibe from the start and keep it fun while making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to have you all back again soon!
Naomi_N, Apr 2026
This place is awesome, Jonathan and Bryan are awesome. You are climbing on rocks and roots of trees. They help you if you need assistance. Their knowledge is impeccable. I didnt take my phone because they take video and photos, which they air drop if you have and iPhone or text you if you have an android. The photos and videos are awesome. There were no mosquitoes at all.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hey Naomi! We’re glad you had such a great time and enjoyed the adventure—those climbs over rocks and roots are all part of the fun. Jonathan and Bryan do an amazing job supporting everyone along the way and sharing their knowledge. It’s also great that you could stay present while they captured all the photos and videos for you. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope to have you back again soon!

Christiane_B, Apr 2026
So much fun - definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Traveled to El Yunque with my boys (ages 11&13). Transport from San Juan to rainforest in school bus (bumpy ride but it was fine!) Once there we split up into smaller groups and our guide, Gian, was knowledgeable and kept us safe while allowing us to really push our boundaries! It’s about a 30-45 minute hike to the waterfall where you can go down the rock slide, jump from a 20-foot cliff and rope swing. Water was beautiful - so fresh and clear.
Hike was definitely not for the inexperienced - you are climbing, walking over wet rocks, going up. Solid shoes (sneakers or water shoes) really a must to feel comfortable that you won’t fall.
If you’re seeking adventure, this is great!
Stopped for food on the way home and n hindsight I would’ve skipped eating. It was not the greatest food - slim in options and somewhat pricey for what you got. But it didn’t change our view of the overall trip!
Note - this is definitely a trip to the waterfall with a hike to get there. It’s not a full exploration of the rainforest with lots of information about the place. So if you are looking to hike and see the rainforest, this may not be the best option. But if you’re seeking some fun and adventure that happens to be in rainforest, do this!!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hola Christian!Thank you so much for this detailed review! We’re happy to hear our top rated El Yunque Rainforest adventure was one of the highlights of your trip and that Gian helped make the experience safe, fun, and exciting for you and your boys. You described the tour perfectly—this is definitely more of an adventurous waterfall experience with hiking, climbing, natural rock slides, cliff jumping, and rope swinging, rather than a full educational rainforest exploration. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the food stop and will keep that in mind as we continue improving the overall experience. Thank you again for recommending us to adventure seekers!

Brittany_S, Apr 2026
If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in Puerto Rico, the Top Rated El Yunque Rainforest & Waterslide Small-Group Tour absolutely delivers. From start to finish, the experience feels well-organized, personal, and genuinely exciting.
One of the biggest highlights is the small-group setting. It makes a huge difference you’re not stuck in a crowded bus or rushed through stops. Instead, you get a more relaxed, intimate experience where the guide can actually interact with everyone, answer questions, and tailor parts of the tour to the group’s pace. It feels less like a “tour” and more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend.
The rainforest itself is stunning. The hike is manageable for most fitness levels, but still feels adventurous enough to be exciting. Along the way, you’ll see lush greenery, waterfalls, and scenic views that don’t even look real. The guides usually share interesting facts about the ecosystem, plants, and history, which adds depth without feeling like a lecture.
The natural waterslide is easily the star of the experience. It’s such a fun, unique activity sliding down smooth rocks into cool, refreshing water surrounded by the rainforest. It’s equal parts thrilling and refreshing, especially in Puerto Rico’s heat. For anyone hesitant, the guides are encouraging but never pushy, which helps you feel comfortable trying it at your own pace.
Transportation and logistics are typically smooth, and many tours include helpful extras like bottled water or snacks. The guides also do a great job making sure everyone stays safe, especially around slippery rocks and during the swim areas.
A couple of things to keep in mind: you’ll want sturdy water shoes, and you should be prepared for some climbing and getting fully wet. It’s not a luxury experience it’s an active, outdoorsy one but that’s exactly what makes it so memorable.
Overall, this tour is a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and fun. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, it’s one of the best ways to experience El Yunque beyond just the typical viewpoints. Highly recommended if you want something more exciting than just sightseeing.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hola Brittany! Thank you so much for this incredible review! We love how you captured the full experience—from the small-group vibe to the adventure and that unforgettable waterslide
