The Alamo and each of the national park's missions are partially wheelchair accessible. They have accessible restrooms and wheelchairs available to loan.

You don't have to walk the entire trail—each mission is about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) from the next.

Bring water and sunscreen—summer temperatures in San Antonio often rise above 100°F (38°C).

Watch for prickly pears, turtles, snakes, egrets, cormorants, and mockingbirds along the trail.
