This trip was one of the highlights of our vacation! The crew were definitely the highlight of the entire thing. Yes, the beach and the snorkeling were amazing, but the attention to detail and care, quick wit and humor, and hosting of the crew made the trip what is was - memorable! They made my child and I feel safe, provided clean equipment and clear instructions. My daughter was scared of the snorkeling and they encouraged her to try again, but didn't make her feel bad when she decided to just swim around. The food was delicious and the drinks were plenty. We were able to focus on fun and relaxation because the crew created an atmosphere that allows you to let your guard down.

Great experience
Fun little hike down to a big water slide. Then hiked to a smaller slide with a big pool with rocks to jump off! Israel was our guide and made the experience very enjoyable! We ended at the beach with lots of outside eateries to choose from with a gorgeous white sand beach.

If you’re looking for an...
If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in Puerto Rico, the Top Rated El Yunque Rainforest & Waterslide Small-Group Tour absolutely delivers. From start to finish, the experience feels well-organized, personal, and genuinely exciting. One of the biggest highlights is the small-group setting. It makes a huge difference you’re not stuck in a crowded bus or rushed through stops. Instead, you get a more relaxed, intimate experience where the guide can actually interact with everyone, answer questions, and tailor parts of the tour to the group’s pace. It feels less like a “tour” and more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend. The rainforest itself is stunning. The hike is manageable for most fitness levels, but still feels adventurous enough to be exciting. Along the way, you’ll see lush greenery, waterfalls, and scenic views that don’t even look real. The guides usually share interesting facts about the ecosystem, plants, and history, which adds depth without feeling like a lecture. The natural waterslide is easily the star of the experience. It’s such a fun, unique activity sliding down smooth rocks into cool, refreshing water surrounded by the rainforest. It’s equal parts thrilling and refreshing, especially in Puerto Rico’s heat. For anyone hesitant, the guides are encouraging but never pushy, which helps you feel comfortable trying it at your own pace. Transportation and logistics are typically smooth, and many tours include helpful extras like bottled water or snacks. The guides also do a great job making sure everyone stays safe, especially around slippery rocks and during the swim areas. A couple of things to keep in mind: you’ll want sturdy water shoes, and you should be prepared for some climbing and getting fully wet. It’s not a luxury experience it’s an active, outdoorsy one but that’s exactly what makes it so memorable. Overall, this tour is a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and fun. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, it’s one of the best ways to experience El Yunque beyond just the typical viewpoints. Highly recommended if you want something more exciting than just sightseeing.

Great tour led by Claudia...
Great tour led by Claudia and Michael. Kayaking was very easy and they gave a lesson on how to kayak if you haven’t done it before. We saw starfish, iguana, and other marine life. They were very helpful with a toddler (4yr) and a grandma (70yr). Great activity for the whole family and the lagoon was very pretty.

Puerto Rico is one of those special places where all types of travelers feel at home—from nature lovers to city slickers, beachgoers to hikers. The small island packs a big punch in the outdoor adventure department, with expert guides ready to take you deep into the rainforest and on (or under) the water. You can also find Puerto Rico tours that showcase the island’s architecture and culture, or more food-focused excursions that let you sample crispy lechón, beef-filled alcapurria, and at least a couple of rum cocktails.
