So much fun! Day starts with a hike to a cave, then swimming at the feet of a beautiful waterfall, and ends with a hike to another cave on the ocean. It's a long day, so be prepared. But absolutely worth the price. 10/10 recommend, must do!

This was one of the best trips we had in Puerto Rico. It had everything — adventure, nature, beautiful places, real Puerto Rican food, and learning about history and native Taíno people. Our guide Jose was amazing. He explained things in a simple way and showed us many cool spots and things The views were beautiful, and we saw some places we would never find on our own. Cueva Ventana had amazing view of the valley. Then we went to a waterfall. Jose helped us walk safely on the rocks and through the water, also showed us some interesting plants on the way. We went under the waterfall, which very cool. Did some jumps from the rocks Lunch at the BBQ place was one of the best (and cheapest!) meals we had while visiting Puerto Rico. Jose also explained and helped us to pick our food. At the end, we visited Indian cave with amazing views and interesting carvings. My son was a little nervous to go inside, but Jose helped him feel comfortable, and it was totally worth it. Highly recommend this tour!

We walked through a cave...

Traci_F, May 2026
We walked through a cave with three different species of bats, cockroaches, snakes, spiders and was shown stalagmites and stalagmites. We were shown hieroglyphs. We then drove to lunch, and a river where we went into the water and made our way through rocks along limestone, tracked through forested areas on trails to a waterfall. We floated back to where we started wearing lifejackets and helmets. We ate lunch at a local Puerto Rican bbq restaurant. Afterwards he drove us to the most beautiful location on the ocean with moon like craters to walk on to get to a cliff to watch the surf coming in way down below and to show us an ancient cave used for ceremonial activities by native tribes long ago. The end of the trip was the best part. Breathtaking! This is not a day trip for claustrophobic people, people with challenges in walking, climbing, mobility challenges and heights, fear of water.

This was a great experience, with breathtaking views, but definitely don’t skip on safety aspects on this one. You absolutely need water shoes & probably safer to not bring kids along. At the Cueva del Indio, the hike is along cliff edges that are sharp and jagged with holes that drop pretty extreme distances. A little stressful hiking near the children in another group. In the waterfalls, I fell and scraped my knees/shins pretty badly in the very first waterfall. There are huge holes and even bigger rocks under the water that you cannot see. Glad it wasn’t my face, but the fall left me sore & fairly shaken for the rest of the water trek. The Cueva Ventana was wonderful, with bats in little clusters and nesting swallows at the entry points, but also very steep and slippery to access. Our guide was knowledgeable, the food was fantastic & the trip overall was a great time. In the future, I might choose one of the spots and designate a half day trip instead of trying to fit them all into one journey as it is definitely a long day.

Best experience on the island!

Jessica_R, Apr 2026
Absolutely worth the money plus some ! Our tour guide, Joe Serpa, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. He gave us just enough history to keep us engaged and has quite the sense of humor. The tour took us from the 7 arches of the Sea (beautiful picture opportunity) to a breath taking water fall we all jumped off of (again amazing photo opportunities) to lunch at a local Puerto Rican authentic restaurant (so much food for inexpensive price-is not included in package of tour for two people big meals was 30 bucks) to our grande finale window cave! I’m not gonna lie by the end of the tour when we got to the window cave we were both pretty tired. Make sure you bring snacks, energy drinks, and sunscreen!!!! Overall, 10/10 recommend for anyone who wants a genuine Puerto Rican hidden gem experience. Ask for Joe! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Jose was amazing. So much fun!!!!!! You will not be disappointed- best excursion ever!!!! The 7 arches were amazing

Almost perfect

Melissa_M, Apr 2026
The excursion itself was wonderful! But we weren't able to do the waterfall due to the recent rains. So the day was almost perfect, but since the whole reason we chose this excursion was because it included the waterfall, missing it was a disappointment. I wish we would have been told in advance that there was going to be a change of itinerary.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Melissa! We are so happy you enjoyed your day if us! It was a true pleasure meeting you. We do have a side note on the booking regarding plan b just in case we arrive to the waterfalls and its not safe to enter and sent a text regarding this factor has well. We want to make sure your safety comes first.

Great day!

Ruth_L, Apr 2026
Amazing full day of fantastic views, secluded rocky beaches, interesting caves, challenging hiking- a lot to see and learn. Wear good shoes- closed toe is better. they will get wet, soaked in the river, sandy on the beaches. Take an extra pair of shoes/socks to change into. I recommend ladies wear a pair of shorts over their bathing suit bottoms because the rocks in the river can be sharp and snag the suits. A water proof case for your phone is essential. You will have to cross a river, swim/float in the river, through waterfalls, over, around, thru the rocks. Our guide, Jose, was the best- very knowledgeable and so patient with us because we kept wanting to take more pictures. We were all left with many good and beautiful memories. P.S. this may not be the best hike for children <8 yrs old- dark caves, walking up/down paths of sharp rocks, cliffs with no guardrails, river depth.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback!. It was a pleasure having you!

What a wonderful tour…

My husband and I went on our tour with Yoma and she was an absolute joy to tour with! Her bubbly personality made the entire experience fun and engaging from start to finish. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting insights that really brought everything to life. On top of that, her communication was clear and helpful, and she was genuinely warm and friendly throughout. Highly recommend booking with Yoma—you’ll have a great time!

Unforgettable tour & guide

Laura_M, Apr 2026
This excursion was spectacular from the moment we met our guide, Jose, until he dropped us off! Jose immediately connected with all of us. He gave us detailed history & geographical information about the people & the island of Puerto Rico while pointing out popular landmarks during our drive to the caves and continued to share his knowledge as we explored the caves. The views from Cueva del Indio are breathtaking! The restaurant Jose took us to for lunch was THE BEST food we had on the island during our stay! This experience is unforgettable & was life changing for our family!

Cueva del Indio makes this experience worth it!

Anna_D, Apr 2026
We loved this day trip! It was a little hard to find the meeting point at first. It’s just in a parking lot and the vans don’t have huge logos that say local tourist so be prepared for that. They were responsive and helped us through text message so that was good. After finding them the trip went smoothly. The waterfalls weren’t jaw dropping but it was fun. The first few caves are pretty cool and seeing the bats were neat. Cueva ventana or the window cave was beautiful. Lunch was delicious and the people at the restaurant were very kind. One of us who got pork did unfortunately get sick later that evening. After lunch is the best part of the tour, seeing Cueva del Indio. The views are breathtaking and we visited on a day with high surf and massive waves. It can be dangerous hiking so definitely listen to the guides and wearing closed toed hiking shoes is a MUST. The volcanic rock is so jagged and rough. The seven arches are stunning and José provided interesting history about the caves and carvings. Definitely the highlight of the tour. We are glad we chose it and were able to see more of the island easily without having to stress about driving. José was very knowledgeable and Cruz was fun. They both were kind and made sure we were safe. Thank you for having us!

We had a great time!! Our guide Jose was fantastic - providing a lot of history and interesting facts along the way. Be prepared for a lot of walking on uneven terrain (very rocky) and some moderate “climbing”. My fear of heights was tested a little but thought it was so worthwhile. We loved seeing the beautiful scenery and learning about the indigenous people of Puerto Rico. Highlights - the window cave and the seven arches. Highly recommend.

Incredible day tour of Arecibo

Keely_S, Apr 2026
Words can’t even begin to describe how much I adore Jose. From the moment he picked us up to the very end of the tour, he made us feel like family. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the entire time. His insight into the natives of Arecibo was fascinating—I genuinely felt like I was in a class (in the best way). He answered every single question with so much depth and passion. And on top of all that, he’s funny AF—we were laughing and joking the whole time. When the waterfall wasn’t safe to visit, he took us to his favorite beach spot instead, which ended up being such a highlight. Truly an unforgettable experience thanks to him. Honestly, Jose wasn’t just our tour guide—he was the highlight of our entire trip. If there’s any justice in this world, he’s getting a raise immediately (and maybe a bonus for putting up with us 😂). If you’re even thinking about booking this tour, do it—and pray you get Jose.

This was a great tour that hit a river, waterfall, and two caves, as well as an awesome lunch (some of the best food of the trip).

Just Do It!

This was easily one of the best travel tour experiences I have ever had! Joma is an AMAZING guide! She is personable, knowledgeable, and fun! The tour is a bit more physically demanding, but Joma made sure everyone was safe. She's basically a photographer, too! She asked everyone in the group if we wanted photos at beautiful scenes and even took photos on her phone to upload to a Google Drive folder with access after the tour- no extra charge!!! Joma and this tour was truly an experience I will never forget. If you are thinking about it, I recommend!

I had the most amazing time! Our tour guide, Enrique, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire day. He also brought lots of energy and made everyone feel comfortable. I loved how interactive he was with the group. I went on this tour solo, but I never felt alone. I had so much fun! I definitely recommend. The sights are beautiful. This was my favorite day of my trip

Incredible full day of fun!

This was absolutely the highlight of our trip! We have 4 teenagers and they were entertained and educated throughout the day. Our guide, José was amazing! He was thoughtful, encouraging and very friendly. Lunch at the BBQ restaurant was some of the best food we’ve had. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

Best 3 in 1 Tour

Shanna_R, Feb 2026
I'm going to tell you, if you come to Puerto Rico, you need to do this tour! It's so much packed into one day and a very exciting experience that you cannot miss. Our tour guide Jose was amazing. He was knowledgeable, experience, and helped you feel comfortable with the excursions. We went to Cueva Ventana, which was really cool. Next, at the Rio Tanama waterfall, Jose helped us make our way safely through the rocky area and the water. We were able to go under the waterfall, which was an unforgettable experience. We swam for a while and the water felt great. Next, we went to a fabulous restaurant to eat and Jose helped everyone figure out their meals. Lastly, we visited the Taino Indian Cave which had some breathtaking views and cool hieroglyphs. One of the people in our group said it was their second time coming because they loved it so much.

Amazing experience! It was a great day to spend while in Puerto Rico with my three young children. Our tour guide Enrique was absolutely phenomenal. He made every moment a great experience! Even the one hour car ride was filled with great icebreakers, and games for the children to be engaged. We didn’t feel the time at all! Highly worth it and will do it again in a heartbeat!

Alejandra_G, Feb 2026
The weather changed our plans a tad from experiencing the river to just looking at it, because of rapid water from 2 weeks of rainfall on the island but the experience was great nonetheless. The guide was very knowledgeable and catering to our needs/ questions.

Caves, waterfalls, and local food...oh my!

Zach_B, Feb 2026
So much fun! Day starts with a hike to a cave, then swimming at the feet of a beautiful waterfall, and ends with a hike to another cave on the ocean. It's a long day, so be prepared. But absolutely worth the price. 10/10 recommend, must do!

An Unforgettable Journey into Adventure and Taíno Heritage

Cameron_T, Feb 2026
From start to finish, this experience exceeded our expectations. We were picked up right on time and immediately felt that we were in capable hands. The adventure itself struck the perfect balance—challenging enough to feel exciting and rewarding, yet structured in a way that made us feel completely safe throughout. As a couple visiting Puerto Rico, we were looking for something beyond the typical sightseeing stops, and this tour delivered exactly that. It gave us the opportunity to connect more deeply with the island’s history and culture, especially its Taíno heritage. The insights shared along the way added meaningful context that went far beyond the surface-level narratives we had encountered on previous visits. The highlight for us was the visit to the Indian Cave. Standing inside such a stunning natural formation while learning about its history and cultural significance was unforgettable. Our guide explained everything with clarity and enthusiasm, making the experience both educational and immersive. The meal provided was also a wonderful touch—thoughtfully arranged and a great way to refuel while soaking in the surroundings. What truly stood out was the team’s commitment to safety. Every step of the adventure was handled with care and professionalism, which allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without hesitation. This is the kind of excursion that feels rare—memorable, meaningful, and just adventurous enough to leave you feeling accomplished. I would absolutely recommend it to travelers who appreciate eco-conscious exploration and want a deeper, more authentic connection to Puerto Rico while still feeling secure and well-supported.
