Meet your guide at Marina Puerto Chico around 30 minutes before the start of your tour. From here, take a short boat ride until you reach your snorkeling spot for the day. Spot the El Yunque National Forest and the Fajardo Lighthouse along the way. Here, you can start the snorkeling portion of your experience. Grab your fins, a mask and jump into the water with a guide, who can help you identify the marine life you encounter.
After your underwater expedition, indulge in a light lunch, served with a selection of soft drinks and local rum-based drinks. You'll then have a bit of time to take a stroll along the beach, use the onboard waterslide, or simply relax in the sun (or in the water) before getting back on board and returning to your departure point.

- Transportation: San Juan to Fajardo Area Only. The driver will contact you the day prior to the reservation to provide pick up location and time. A minimum of 6 passengers is required, if the minimum is not met additional charges or cancellations may apply.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions - If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.

- Bring: swimwear, towel, needed medicine, credit card, gratuity
- Bring: Items for skin protection (sunblock without Oxybenzone ingredient, long sleeve shirt, etc.)
- At your own risk - waterproof cases with electronic devices (waterproof camera, cell phone, etc.)
- What Not to bring: any valuables or items that cannot get wet. Lost items will be very hard to find in the water. Anything you take with you might get wet.
- Minimum numbers apply - There is a possibility of cancellation after Instant Confirmation. This excursion requires a minimum of 15 guests with reservations in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (alternative dates or full refund).

Took this trip with my husband and two kids (13 and 9), all experienced snorkelers. We took the afternoon Icacos excursion. We stayed in Isla Verde so we rented a car for the day to drive to Fajardo , it was super easy to navigate to the meeting spot (just read the confirmation email, all the details are explained clearly). On previous snorkeling trips on other islands we usually stop at more than one snorkeling spot so we assumed it would be similar, but there was only one snorkel stop before the beach. This was fine, but we might have stayed out snorkeling a little longer if we realized it was a “one and done” thing. The water was beautiful teal and clear and we saw a lot of cool fish and even a manta ray! Next time I’d love to visit the Vieques tour as I heard from other travelers they were able to catch sea turtles there.
Icacos beach was beautiful albeit a bit crowded with other boats/excursion trips. (Spring break week, it is what it is). The water and sand was gorgeous. The slide was an awesome touch and my 9 year old son certainly wore it out (I definitely took a few slides myself!) Lunch was simple but light and tasty , perfect for a day of swimming (pasta salad, bean salad, chicken salad, sweet bread and pbj ). The rum drinks (mojitos and pina coladas) were fresh and delish and they offered non alcoholic versions for my kids which they loved. They also supplied a cooler of sodas, water and and coconut water.
Big thanks to Danty (capt) Mike (first mate) Jarrell and Ellie (apologies if I got anyone’s name wrong!) on the Kraken! The crew was so friendly and fun! We will definitely recommend to anyone we know visiting PR!

Me and my partner kept getting splashed REALLY HARD by the water for 50 minutes during the ride, no prior warning it would be like that. We were so traumatized that we didn’t have it in us to actually go snorkeling. We were basically stranded with a very limited area to walk on the beach. All of our stuff got soaked and we couldn’t wear shoes on the boat.

Actual details of what happens during the morning trip to Vieques.
meetup point is super simple u just meet in this restaurant/bar that has 2 floors. pretty much open to public.
Next you go on your boat and it takes about an 45-60 minutes to get to the island. It’s pretty dizzy if you try to move too much.
The island itself u just go to one side of the island at the beach.
U swim from the island shore to deeper water to find turtles and stingrays and marine life. But it’s hard to see them without the sun on a cloudy day.
Then u just stay there the rest of the day near the beach with a huge slide from the top of the boat going down. That’s pretty much it in terms of activities at the basic level. Not too much to do. Go if you want something basic like this for a bit more money.
Just speaking from personal experience, I’ve seen tours in other similar locations with more locations and more things to do during a snorkeling tour like this such as using the boat to go to other parts of the sea. I wish we could’ve sailed to a deep part of the sea since it was hard to dive or jump into the water without touching the ground. But I assume that’s hard to do given the restrictions placed because of mandatory banana floats.
However, pretty much guaranteed to see a sea turtle in good weather. Lots of people great tour guides with Captain Joe and his crew. they gave unlimited soda and water and some food options like pasta and salad. We gave a toast as well.
awesome staff and crew they explain pretty much everything perfectly and are very capable, have great vibes and are relatable no matter where you are from.

Boat ride was rough but part of the entertainment! Guides were very helpful and snorkeling was really enjoyable. They had floaties to help support the swim and lifeguards the entire way. The beach was beautiful!! Highly recommend

The staff were wonderful! They were incredibly kind and helpful for the entire excursion. I will say this day had a bit of rougher waters, so prepare yourself for that possibility. The snorkeling was amazing! I would highly recommend this activity. The food and drink was not my cup of tea, but it was nice to have had the options.

It was awesome got to see a lot of fish while snorkeling and swimming at icacos was beautiful. Had the slide down and drinks (mojitos and piña colada’s) as well as food (Italian dressed pasta w/ Parmesan, chicken salad, bean salad, regular salad, fruits and sweet bread) the whole experience i would say was a 10/10

this is one of my favorite activity i did in pr. once you board they give you a soft drink. the snorkeling was amazing because the water was super gorgeous and clear. there were a lot of school fish and some larger fishes and even eels! we didn’t get to see a sea turtle but i guess that just means we have to come again. i don’t know how to swim but their guidance was helpful and i felt safe the whole time. after snorkeling, they take you to an island that’s a natural reserve and give you some lunch and they open up the bar. Dagmar was a lovely host. the island is beautiful and the water is lovely.

Great time. Snorkeling gear and a floatation device were provided.
Lunch on board included some bread, pasta salad, greens salad, chicken salad, bottomless soft drinks and pina coladas.
We were able to see coral reefs with sea turtles, many fishes, including barracudas.
We were in the morning session where we went to viacas island, with about a 45 minute boat ride from the marina to the island.
The boat slide was a fun way to enjoy the time we had after lunch and snorkeling.

The experience was fun! Energy was great and motivating for everyone to make the most of it! The boat ride to the location was lovely and the crew on our boat was great! Andrea, Andrew, and Dylan (sorry if I got any names wrong) were funny and interactive! The snorkeling experience felt crowded, which left much room for improvement and involvement from the crew. I think everyone definitely wanted to see much wildlife so there’s that but aside from that part, everything was fun! The time spent after snorkeling was great! The crew brought out the energy for everyone and got the drinks flowing! Overall would love to do this again, crew was awesome, experience was amazing

Boat was nice and the crew was also nice and friendly... but their could be improvements. The food was very nasty and tasted like their was no effort put into the food. A couple of the dishes was not enough for everyone on the boat. For the price you pay at least one dish could of been tasty. i have been on alot of boats In PR before... the food is usually good! Always i do feel like we could of went to a better beach. To do snorkeling you had to walk and swim very far and usually the boat will stop to the deep end of the ocean and let u snorkel. So a far walk and swim made alot of people say no.

We had a great experience on this day trip. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable, and they made sure that everyone was safe and had a good time. The snorkeling site was nice, we saw a lot of fish and coral. My only note is that it was really crowded (there were about 6 boats at the site at the same time) so it was impossible to stay with the group and the confusion made us feel a bit rushed. I don't think that was the fault of the crew, but I would suggest staggering the visits for a better experience with that part of the tour. After snorkeling it was fun to hang out on the boat and my daughter absolutely loved the giant slide.

We traveled to Puerto Rico for the first time this week 04/11-18/2026 and it will not be our last! As avid travelers my Sister and I believe in supporting local businesses and experiencing the culture of the place. We had a wonderful time from the beginning of our excursion till we returned on time back on shore! The crew was fun and engaging very knowledgeable and attentive to their charges.
