The Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve lies about half an hour from Fajardo. Meet your guide at Marina Puerto Chico around 30 minutes before the start of your tour. From here, take a short boat ride until you reach your snorkeling spot for the day. Spot the El Yunque National Forest and the Fajardo Lighthouse along the way. Here, you can start the snorkeling portion of your experience. Grab your fins, a mask and jump into the water with a guide, who can help you identify the marine life you encounter.
After your underwater expedition, indulge in a light lunch, served with a selection of soft drinks and local rum-based drinks. You'll then have a bit of time to take a stroll along the beach, use the onboard waterslide, or simply relax in the sun (or in the water) before getting back on board and returning to your departure point.

- Transportation: San Juan to Fajardo Area Only. The driver will contact you the day prior to the reservation to provide pick up location and time. A minimum of 6 passengers is required, if the minimum is not met additional charges or cancellations may apply.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions - If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
- Drinking age is 21 years old

- Bring: swimwear, towel, needed medicine, credit card, gratuity
- Bring: Items for skin protection (sunblock without Oxybenzone ingredient, long sleeve shirt, etc.)
- At your own risk - waterproof cases with electronic devices (waterproof camera, cell phone, etc.)
- What Not to bring: any valuables or items that cannot get wet. Lost items will be very hard to find in the water. Anything you take with you might get wet.
- Minimum numbers apply - There is a possibility of cancellation after Instant Confirmation. This excursion requires a minimum of 15 guests with reservations in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (alternative dates or full refund).

This is so fun! They feed you well and you get a good amount of rum in each drink. The hosts were so kind and the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend! Our tour guides were Dali, she’s super funny , Amanda , she’s very kind and upbeat, and jonathan , he’s a great bar tender and a sweet guy! I loved this crew and my brothers who had never been snorkeling had such a blast !

We are traveling to Puerto Rico on our eldest children’s last spring break at home before heading to college, so this trip is very special to us and Capt. Solemine and her crew did not disappoint. This snorkeling and beach boat tour was such a memorable experience for my family and we are so excited we were aboard El Kraken for the day! The tour is definitely worth the money, as it lasts about 6 hours. My husband and twins snorkeled and even though my youngest wasn’t comfortable snorkeling, the crew made it very comfortable for us on the boat while we waited for the snorkelers to return. Lunch was filling and the drinks were amazing. We spent a good amount of time on the island beach and even though it was a little cloudy, the vibes were very high. The water is clear and gorgeous, and we saw Ramoras, plenty of schools of fish, and a sting ray! The crew made sure we were safe and educated at all times. Capt. Solomon’s, Ricky, Georgie, and one additional crew member whose name I cannot recall (apologies, all were great!) were so hospitable. If you’re considering booking the tour, DO IT and request El Kraken!

Things to know:
Pros: great marina, parking available, showers, bathrooms, restaurant and bar onsite. Great staff(!!), smooth execution, fast powerful boat, gorgeous views, on time, as advertised!
Cons (for us): Meet ups spot lacked signage, which was stressful. (Tip: it ended up being the upper level of the restaurant in the marina)
They lacked flippers for our kids. Our tall athletic 9 year old did fine w/ a parents help once he got comfortable with the gear. Our tiny 7 year old was too small for their smallest life preservers so they road up uncomfortably & while determined she realized the waves and currents were too much for her even with heavy assistance, so she and I missed the reef and real fish spotting. Oh well, we tried. Motion on the ocean while others snorkeled had me feeling ill so I can’t speak to the food or drinks.
Music on our boat and others at the island was super loud and competing with each other; currents around the island are strong. We walked the beach to find a quieter moment and found the tide pools. The kids loved swimming at the shore of the island.
The slide is FAST and proved a little too much for our kids. My partner got a minor cut going down it.
Scene was a little much for our fam. Pretty alcohol focused, loud, a bachelorette party, only one other kid, endless posing for selfies/the gram, and a woman who couldn’t swim but got in the deep ocean and then panicked.
Overall we were the outliers & that’s fine. We overreached, but I don’t agree with their minimum age range stated here.

Had a lot of fun with my family! We came for a vacation from New York. The crew was a lot of fun, and the man manning the slide was very nice and welcoming. My family loved it, and we loved the hospitality. Would definitely do it again, and ride the slide over and over. :)

Very fun experience. The water was clear and we got to see a few sea turtles and fish. The boat ride to island was about 40 minutes. The boats docks close to the beach. The water depth upon getting out is a little over 6 feet. You will them swim from shore to the wreath. Light lunch and drinks are included. My boys loved the slide and spent time on the beach collecting coconuts. Jose, Eli and the crew were all helpful and amazing. Tip them well!

This was our third and last expedition during out long weekend in PR. Crew was great and vessels were great, however the snorkeling was very crowded. Saw quite a bit of sea life, and enjoyed the downtime along the nature preserve. While we had the highest hopes for this expedition, it ranked last versus the rainforest and bioluminescent experiences.

Awsome experience! Staff and crew were went above and beyond! This one was smaller so felt more intimate and personal. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would book again. Picked up from San Juan and dropped back off. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves without worrying about driving.

The crew on the boat was great, however, the weather conditions were less than ideal. We had to turn around halfway to Vieques and go to Iococos instead because the conditions were too severe to continue.
The snorkeling was in really rough seas and even the beach had 4+ foot swells so getting to/from the beach was very challenging.
It did not make for a very enjoyable experience.

It was a ok experience. The snorkeling was great you see a lot of sea life. But it was to many rules. Like drinks are not served while the boat is in motion or until the snorkeling is done. So literally for 2 hours you don’t get a drink. The food was very limited and not that great. To me it wasn’t worth the price

My daughter and I had a lot of fun on this excursion. It was well organized. The snorkeling was great and the food was decent. The drinks were on point. The beach was nice with fine, white sand. No rocks or thorns. I would suggest sitting at the front of the boat that is enclosed. Everyone sitting on the side towards the back got soaked from the water spraying up on the way to and from the island. This wouldn't be problem in hot weather, but it was cloudy and rainy off and on so it was chilly with the wind.

The experience was amazing! My friends and I are in college and came to Puerto Rico for spring break hoping for a good time. The crew made sure that we were all okay and were so kind and fun! this experience was beautiful and amazing! the restaurant where you check in is stunning it has amazing views of the marina theres also a bar and games you can play in the meantime waiting for the boat. the snorkeling was stunning we saw many different fishes and corals; after the snorkeling was over, the staff did education us on the types of fishes we did see which we really enjoyed, the food and drinks on the boat were delicious. the island was gorgeous and they did provide water toys like a slide and a floating mat. i feel like they gave us more than enough time, it didnt feel rushed at all.

First and foremost, I want to say the crew were very kind. We were celebrating a bachelorette and they took the time to make her feel celebrated. However, I feel like initial advertisements were misleading. My group and I thought this was a private excursion, however, the boat was multi-group (Approx. 30 people). Also, if you cannot swim at all I do not recommend. Life vests are not provided, you are given a banana float. There were some passengers in our group that just wanted to come along and enjoy the beach but you have to swim to shore. So again, if you cannot swim, this is not the excursion for you.

Regarding our options, we do have private charter options for groups but I saw your team booked our general public tour which is described on the booking platform as a shared experience. Allowing guests from different parties to enjoy the experience together.
I understand as well if you did not expect to have to swim from the boat to the shore but the islands we visit are all nature reserves that do not allow any boat to anchor on the sand itself.

I chose this excursion for a Saturday day trip for my bachelorette. It was absolutely incredible. We stayed in Old San Juan, where we were picked up upon request (and additional fee) and brought to Fajardo. The boat ride was comfortable and very educational. The deck hands were absolutely exceptional, especially Hectmar! Once we arrived to the island of Vieques, we were able to snorkel for about an hour with sea turtles and other reef life! After, we spent time using the slide, swimming and drinking from the open bar. Lunch was delicious. We did have to share the boat with other travelers, but it didn’t dampen the experience! Everyone was so lovely. I would recommend this excursion to anyone, even those who haven’t been in a boat or snorkeling! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Very nice day. My kids got sea sick so it was too long for them but overall the experience was good. The crew was attentive and very friendly. Good activity and priced well.

My homegirls and I went for our girls trip and we had a good time! Even if you don’t know how to swim the floaties they gave us did most of the work and made it 10x easier, so don’t worry about that. There were even a few people who were able to stay back in the shallow end and snorkel there. I think the only downside of it was that we felt like we didn’t have enough time to relax more. The boat ride to the island was about 45-60 mins long and it was a tad bumpy, but that was expected. Overall we loved our experience, got some good pictures, had a fun mini party with our group on the way back, good food, good vibes for sure!
