Visiting the bio bay is...
Visiting the bio bay is one of the main reasons I came to visit Puerto Rico in general and it truly was an unforgettable experience and memory to never forget. Our guide was super knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable if you're a beginner and you can tell takes care and pride of the bay. I would definitely book again when coming back :)

My 18-year-old daughter...
My 18-year-old daughter and I did the kayak tour at Condado Lagoon and had such a great experience! Our tour guide, Miguel, was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip enjoyable. He took the time to explain the area, answer our questions, and made us feel comfortable on the water. We were lucky enough to see a few starfish and even spotted some sea turtles popping their heads up lol. It was a fun, relaxing, and memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Miguel as your guide!

Vieques Bioluminescent Bay Trip, June 2026
Don’t worry about having water shoes. Flip flops are a good option. You will need shoes to walk towards the water, but will be asked to remove them before loading into the clear kayaks. Any bug spray with Deet is a no, no because it hurts the environment. Walking into the water was mushy, so just a warning for those that are sensitive to that sort of thing. The kayaks are 2 person. When we finally got going, looking down at the glass bottom was fantastic. It glowed like glitter as we paddled out to the bay. We had our main guide in the front and another tailing the group. They were both super friendly and helpful. Our tail guide watched to make sure we didn’t float away. The tour was so educational. The guide spoke about the history and science of the bay, but also the stars in the sky. Absolutely beautiful experience! I highly recommend the tour for those that know how to use a kayak or it might be challenging to enjoy. Last note, you will get a bit wet when paddling out and back.

You have to see it to believe it
Amazing! You have to see it to believe it. I couldn’t get pictures to capture it but the water really does light up like in the pictures. We went as close to a new moon as possible to optimize the experience, our time slot was the 22:30 option. Luis was our guide. He was funny and welcoming, even took the time to go over constellations in the sky. He and his team were efficient and helpful. We will definitely try to come back again!
