What are people saying about Madrid

What a learning experience seeing much of Spain’s history from Madrid to Segovia, Avila and Toledo. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the day seeing much of Spain’s countryside as well as visiting three ancient cities with a lot of culture and history, Segovia, Avila and Toledo. Our guides Eduardo and Laura were the best giving us such great information on these cities. Seeing the Roman Aguaduct in Segovia and the Great Wall protection Avila were highlights. We drove through the mountains, saw farmland, pastures, rivers, vineyards, olive trees and stone fences and old buildings on the path in a comfortable luxury bus. A full day with a nice lunch and some free time was perfect.

Toledo FANTASTIC TOUR highly recommend
This was a fantastic tour. Valle was our tour guide and Javi was our driver. Javi picked us up at our Hotel in Madrid and we met Valle in Toledo. We then drove to some view points in Toledo that were stunning for pictures and history. After that we did a walking tour. Toledo as most towns in Spain are uphill. But not bad. Valle asked what we wanted to see art, cathedral, shopping. We set our schedule with the allotted time. Valle showed us some authentic shops for gifts. Great art work from the 1525, the cathedral was breath taking. She also gave a great restaurant recommendations for authentic food from the region. I would definitely do this tour again. After the day was over we meet Javi at our designated pickup point. We communicated through WhatsApp. And he drove us back to our Hotel in Madrid. We also were able to secure Javi for a personal van to the airport a few days later so our group with all our luggage would be able to fit in one vehicle. This was definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend.

A Perfectly Balanced Day in Historic Toledo
Our day trip to Toledo was a great mix of history, culture, and scenery. The city’s cobblestone streets and layered influences from Christian, Jewish, and Muslim heritage made it fascinating to explore. The guided tour was engaging without feeling rushed. Visiting the Toledo Cathedral was a standout—stunning in every way—and the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca added a unique cultural perspective. We were unsure about lunch at a historic war museum vs a local restaurant, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise with a nice setting and a nice selection of traditional tapas items. Overall, a well-paced and memorable way to experience one of Spain’s most historic cities.

Plum in the heart of Spain, Madrid is ringed by historical cities and wine-growing regions, making it an excellent launchpad for out-of-town excursions. Unsurprisingly therefore, Madrid day trips beckon from everywhere and include a plethora of multi-stop tours showcasing attractions like Segovia’s Roman aqueduct, Toledo’s fortress, Avila’s 5th-century walls, and Salamanca’s sandstone plazas. Other magnets include the picturesque hill town of Cuenca and San Lorenzo’s majestic Escorial monastery-palace. If traditional sightseeing rounds don’t appeal, slow the pace on a relaxed wine-tasting excursion: spending the day discovering the vineyards and estates of the nearby Vinos de Madrid wine-growing region.
