Fab walking tour of Funchal
We did the walking tour half way through our trip and had a fabulous time. We stopped for traditional wine tasting, lunch as well as trying other culinary delights including pastel de natas and a chorizo bola - you are definitely well fed and watered so don't eat too much beforehand!
The walking was easy for us able bodied members of the party, however, one of our party had difficulty due to the sloping nature of the area and cobbled streets so I would be aware of this when you book. He did not go ahead with the tour however the staff were extremely accommodating and very kindly issued a refund.
Our tour guide was fabulous and whilst informative was also really fun, she made the trip.
Many thanks we had a great time!

Madeiran food tour at your own pace!
A very nice selection of food and drink, handpicked with local insight. WE got to enjoy cheese, Bolo do Caco (Madeiran bread), chocolate, to famous bakery goods and more! The self guided food tour was an interesting way to experience the food culture at our own pace.

Great Introduction to Madeira!
This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour with lovely people. Matt, our guide was great; very knowledgeable about history, culture, food and even horticulture! A great assortment of food and drink was had. We were thoroughly stuffed by the end. Matt also recommended a great seafood restaurant which we used several times. Thanks Matt.

Book it!!
This was our favorite day tour that we took in Madeira. ( The other tours we took were to the East, West, and Nun Valley.) it wasn’t our favorite tour just based on being able to have lots of wine. Susanna, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable. She explained the history of the island, the history of the different produce grown on the island, and the history of wine on the island. Each stop was beautiful. Taking a cable car down to see a farm right on the water was fun. We got to walk to the water and the beach so we could experience first half of the stones. The winery was beautiful and educational. The wine was delicious, as was the lunch. At the last stop, we tried some of the classical Madeira Wine, before getting to try some of the 10 and 15 year Madeira Wine. The day flew by.

A beautiful market and lovely restaurant
The culinary experience is sitting at The Chef's Table watching them cook. It was so much fun and the interaction was so joyful as they prepared our food as well as for the entire restaurant. Ana, our guide to was wonderful and informative. A great time!

Monica was our guide. The day was fabulous from pick up to drop off. Everything was smoothly coordinated. In addition to the tastings, winery tours and lunch, we enjoyed riding along the backroads of Madeira. We saw beautiful coastline on the north-east side of the island and learned many facts about the island. It was a wonderful day!

Great trip but not for the faint hearted!
This was a great trip but not for the faint hearted!! The off-road driving was fun but very bumpy and some of the on-road driving was pretty hair-raising too!! Having said that, we saw some lovely viewpoints and had the chance to stand up in the back of the jeep off-road.
I enjoyed the wine tasting. We got to sample 6 wines (3 white, one rosé and two reds) and could refill our favourites. We had just the right amount of time there.

Incredible sunset and tasty food
The farm and the view are absolutely incredible. The sunset was the most beautiful we saw all holiday in Madeira! The food and drinks were really tasty and all home cooked and they used produce from the farm. Our group was fun and we had a lovely dinner together.

Fantastic driver, very friendly, punctual & informative.
Just 4 of us on the morning tour which was great, ideal time before tours staying for lunch arrive.
No rush at the vineyard, could help ourselves after the tastings to as much from the 6 bottles, small tasting board of cheese/ham,not tapas.
Recommend good way to spend a morning.

Refreshing Levada Walk
I really enjoyed this walk. It was a refreshing break from the hot Madeiran sun that I’d had a little too much of. It was a nice easy walk with an interesting guide, through a lovely cool fresh air filled levada trail. Was very interesting to hear how the levadas work and hear about the various flora and fauna. Would recommend for a pleasant half day tour.
Don’t wear white trainers though! It’s very dusty.
