Top Hawaii Day Trips

We had such a fantastic time on this trip. The waterfalls were mind blowing and Scott the driver did such a good job entertaining us on the way to Hana and took some amazing photos of us at all the famous stops along the way. The helicopter ride back was an added plus and made the trip magical.

We spent longer time than expected to see the sunset and the stars. My tour guide John was very nice, kind, and knowledgable. He had warm clothes and a lot of snacks prepared for everyone. He also helped us take some photos. Overall I got a really great tour and I would really recommend you to book it.

Kevin was very chill and knowledgeable. His commentary seemed more organic rather than scripted. Loved how the company took care of the airline booking. No issues. Grab 100% Kona coffee from Joe’s. Not a lot of good food options at the Hilo airport at the end so make sure you buy extra food at the bakery in the morning. I regret not getting a loaf of sweet bread to go.

We went on 8/7/2026 and the weather was perfect at 55 degrees! Preston, our tour guide, was amazing!!! He really loves his job and loves telling the history of the island and the volcano. I wore a beenie, gloves, sweats, socks and Uggz boots. Tennis shoes would have been ok as well. The views, the guide and breakfast afterwards were all amazing and worth every penny !!

We were picked up at our hotel at 6 am and didn't return until 6 pm. We stopped many times at bathroom facilities. Bring your breakfast; one of the first stops is a nice place to eat. Our tour guide, Chris, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and stopped at numerous places to take photos, have a great lunch (sandwiches, water) and swim in turquoise waters. Know that you'll be in the mini-van for a good part of the day and getting in and out many times. We stopped at waterfalls, black sand beaches and lookouts during the day. He pointed out all the sights at each stop. There are snacks on the way back. I do recommend you bring a water bottle with you to drink while in the van. Do not attempt to drive the road to Hana yourself. It is a twisting, winding, mountainous road with many one-land bridges. Fabulous excursion! Since this is a long day, I recommend you eat dinner at your hotel afterwards!

Great day had by all! We were a party of 8 - adults and teens! Sam - our driver- was right on time- very friendly and knowledgeable! He used a microphone so everyone can hear fun facts about the island! Perfect snorkeling, food options, kayak, SUP, and North Shore shopping. The kids said it was their favorite day! Going through the rainforest was cool too- the mountains were amazing! The van was clean, and reliable. Would highly recommend this for all. Must do! Pro tip: Bring water shoes!

The best experience, almost had to cancel because of the weather early AM but the team was accommodating and told me that I could wait and do a flight later in the day. Worth every penny, sights you can only see by helicopter. Our pilot was amazing, very knowledgeable about the island. Smooth ride besides alittle bumps here and there from the wind (to be expected). Got proposed to after the helicopter and an unforgettable experience. If you're thinking about booking, do it!

Henry is a wonderful tour guide. He provided historical information and was just a pleasure to be around. He was funny and made everyone feel like ohana. We didn’t get to do the north side of the island due to flooding but Henry was accommodating and showed great resilience when we had to detour. It is a very informative tour and I appreciated all that it offered. Mahalo for great experience!
