If you’re considering booking a Road to Hana tour while visiting Maui, I highly recommend it! We had a wonderful time, and our tour guide, Lisa, was absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable, insightful, friendly, and passionate about sharing the beauty, history, and culture of Hawaii. Our group included 13 people, including three teenagers, and Lisa did an outstanding job catering to everyone’s interests and expectations. She made sure everyone felt included and engaged, creating an enjoyable experience for the entire group. Her knowledge and personality truly made the journey special! A few things future travelers should know: The Road to Hana is about enjoying the journey just as much as the destination. Be prepared for winding roads, beautiful scenery, and plenty of memorable sights along the way. Unlike Anything I’ve Ever Experienced

I had an amazing experience on Mauna Kea with my girlfriend and her family. What we saw and experienced almost didn’t seem possible; standing at the summit above the clouds was breathtaking. Our tour guide, James, was awesome. He was wonderful with people, shared information about the land, and showed us the star constellations. I highly recommend this tour. It’s unlike anything else I’ve experienced in my life!

This entire experience was absolutely mind blowing we caught a beautiful sunset and then the stars or the stargazing portion of the tour seemed unreal the staff was super friendly and helpful everything went really well from beginning to end and I went up the volcano with my girlfriend and came down with a fiance. Very nice place to propose and definitely dress warm

Self guided tour of USS Arizona

This was a self guided tour of the Pearl Harbor Memorial. They were scheduled to pick us up between 9:30 and 10 o’clock. There was some confusion about exactly where they would pick us up and what the van that was picking us up would look like but ultimately they came at 10 and delivered us to the memorial. Later they came back at 1:30 and picked us up exactly on time and took us on a very short tour around some of Honolulu. Our driver was very knowledgeable and informative and overall I believe everyone on the Tour feels they got a very good value for what we paid.

Great audio Guide! Well worth it!

This guide was great! Download it before you go. It worked even when we had no cell signal! It plays Some nice upbeat Hawaiian music. This guide explained every single point of interest along the way. Even explains the history behind it. It also explains when the restrooms stops come up along with the different eateries along the Road to Hana. We made three stops. Started in Paia town and ended in Hana. Then we drove back. It took us about 8 hours total. Way cheaper than booking an actual guide. Plus we were able to make only the stops we were actually interested in. Spent about 20 minutes at each stop. If YOU PLAN ON STOPPING AT “Black Beach” you’ll want to make your reservation as soon as you can. We weren’t able to get reservations 2 months out. I checked all the way up until the day of. It was SOLD OUT! Start your trip as early as possible as well. We left Paia town around 8am.

A Fantastic Tour!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide Aaron on the Big Island. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. He shared so much interesting information about the island, its history, culture, and beautiful scenery, making the entire tour both enjoyable and memorable. He was also very attentive to everyone in our group providing snacks and cold water. We were able to see all of our desired sights and he even took our photos at various locations. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Hawaii. He truly helped make our visit unforgettable! 🌺🌴☀️

It started out a little stressful....the meetup time was a mixup. Viator text me a meetup time at 2am. The excursion company meetup time was 2:50am...so by the time we were at the meetup point, we couldn't locate anyone. I called and the agent on the call was not too helpful. But 20min in, Everette showed up with a very helpful attitude and apologetic and picked up us quickly. The rest of the excursion was AMAZING! We loved it. And thank God Everette had warm panchos for us! ;)

The sunrise in the morning is amazing, but definitely listen to the advice to dress for cold, windy conditions! It is so much colder up at altitude then down at sea level in Maui, so bring a warm jacket and be mesmerized when the sun comes up (as Mark Twain wrote). Also, the breakfast afterwards was terrific.

An unforgettable experience

Be prepared for one of the best small group tours you will ever go on! It is an all day (and night) affair, about 13 hours, but well worth the time. Todd was a great driver and extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. We were lucky to see Kilauea spewing lava, despite the foggy and rainy weather, which miraculously cleared up when we went back to halemau’mau crater after dinner. All told it was an unforgettable experience well worth the time and money!

Great day had by all! We were a party of 8 - adults and teens! Sam - our driver- was right on time- very friendly and knowledgeable! He used a microphone so everyone can hear fun facts about the island! Perfect snorkeling, food options, kayak, SUP, and North Shore shopping. The kids said it was their favorite day! Going through the rainforest was cool too- the mountains were amazing! The van was clean, and reliable. Would highly recommend this for all. Must do! Pro tip: Bring water shoes!

Book the flight!

The best experience, almost had to cancel because of the weather early AM but the team was accommodating and told me that I could wait and do a flight later in the day. Worth every penny, sights you can only see by helicopter. Our pilot was amazing, very knowledgeable about the island. Smooth ride besides alittle bumps here and there from the wind (to be expected). Got proposed to after the helicopter and an unforgettable experience. If you're thinking about booking, do it!
