Great walking tour

This is a great tour that combines an interesting walk through the old town with a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Our tour guide Zenon did a great job of making the history interesting and entertaining. He’s a very skilled speaker. We got so much more out of our visit than if we had just gone around on our own. Highly recommend booking this tour!

Castle tour

Laura our guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. Even with a large crowd at the castle, she made sure that everybody could hear that she was telling us. She was very attentive to the needs of our group as one of our party did have some walking challenges, as did a few others, and she was very accommodating when we had to make pauses as we were climbing the hill to the castle. It was a nice way to orient ourselves to the history of the castle before we went off exploring on our own.

Adam Was A Delightful Tour Guide - Lochs Are Gorgeous - Skip The Boat Tour

Our your guide was Adam, who was kind, accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, and so energetic. The highlands are gorgeous and he made sure to stop at any place worthy of a photo, a little walk to stretch your legs, or for a snack and bathroom break. He memorized everyone’s names, gave personalized recommendations for our itineraries later in the week, and provided 12 hours of fascinating commentary with such a lovely mix of kiwi and Scottish accent! The only thing I would say is skip the boat tour at Loch Ness - a bit of a rip off (the boat is huge with hundreds of people, not a fun, campy experience). I could not think of a better guide to show me the highlands and Adam has made me want to return to Scotland to explore more of the country!

Fascinating

A fascinating tour of the vaults under the streets of Edinburgh. We were given a vivid description of the desperate lives of the people who lived in these squalid conditions, and the crime that was allowed to flourish with barely any policing. There was a spooky element which would either make your spine tingle or at the least provide much entertainment. We were lucky enough to have our tour guide (Charlie) all to ourselves and he was very knowledgeable and engaging.

Great time!!!

At first we were a bit disappointed cause we thought we'd be on a train from the picture and it was going to be a bus....But it was comfortable and the driver/tour guide made the trip!!!! Just the perfect mix of humorous, friendly, professional, safe-but fun and knowledgeable about the tour!!! Loved the musical playlist accompanying the trip!! So glad we went and would book another!!

Love the tour. Peter is so great and friendly. He always made sure everyone got to the right places at the right time. He’s very intentional and gave great commentary and stories while driving. The drive was long but Peter made it enjoyable. Highly recommend and would 100% love to have Peter as our driver/guide.

Steven B was our tour guide - thank you for a great experience and great driving in the narrow winding roads!!! The whole day was such a great experience - so many things to see and Steven gave us lots of info on history during our drive, he played us some great local music too. If you are short on time this is a great tour to see A LOT in one day. I am so glad we did this tour and don’t skip the Loch Ness boat cruise and castle! I would highly recommend this tour. The highlands are stunning!

A very informative and entertaining day.

We booked this tour because I am a golfer and wanted to see the Old Course at St. Andrews. That mission was accomplished but it was only part of a great day when David, our tour guide and driver, made sure we enjoyed visits to a couple of charming small towns and the Fourth Bridge. David’s knowledge of history and current activities was clear, but also his great disposition and sense of humor. The tour was not shorts of laughter. We highly recommend it.
