Memorable day of walking, talking, learning and laughing!

Michelle_S, Jul 2026
We met Ricky about 25 mins early to find out we were the only 2 on this tour! How lucky to have him all to ourselves! Ricky walked us around Edinburgh teaching us about the history of this city. We even visited the Museum where we saw a Rembrandt and a da Vinci, and shared a coffee and pastry. Ricky was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions while walking over 10,000 steps. We had a memorable day of walking, talking, learning and laughing. Enjoyed seeing Edinburgh through Ricky’s eyes! These Houstonians had a great time. Thanks Ricky!

Ben is a superstar. Favorite tour of our trip.

Adam_P, Jul 2026
The small size of this group really made a huge difference. Our tour guide, Ben, was able to really customize the tour to specific interests within the group…art, history, Harry Potter, etc. he did an amazing on relating to each person in the group. His recommendations for places to eat, drink, and spend additional time have kept us busy for days.

Great walking tour with Irish Mark.

Nadia_P, Jun 2026
This tour is a great way to see and learn all about Edinburgh. The tour has a lot of walking but is well worth it, ending with the spectacular Edinburgh Castle. Mark C (Irish Mark) was a great guide imparting with lots of knowledge and stories at many landmarks and historical sights making the tour interesting and enjoyable. Mark was also extremely considerate as one of our party of four has bad knees and Mark made sure he accommodated for her by limiting the number of stairs. Highly recommended this tour for a full, enjoyable day discovering Edinburgh.

A deep dive into the history of the city and how it was shaped throughout the centuries

David_F, Jun 2026
A full day exploring the reasons behind and the history of the Old Town and the New Town with a full historical context of the evolution of the city. The context was reinforced through visits to museums and historical landmarks. Great explanations of the political as well as physical influences which guided the choices of the period from a lifestyle perspective was deeply revealing. Wear a really good pair of shoes or hiking boots and be prepared for any kind of weather as it can change in a minute. Kieron was a great guide well versed in the art, architecture and politics of the time.

Mark C was a fantastic guide. He was one of the best guides we have had on mini tours done through Viator in several countries he was very knowledgeable with many facts and dates. 1707 Panama Canal Scam! Scotland forced to give up its Independence.

antoinette_m, Jun 2026
Mark C was extremely knowledgeable regarding the history of Scotland both past and present. His personality lends itself well to communicating to a crowd from various parts of the World. The year 1707 will forever be embedded in my memory of Scotland and British history. I’m glad my Scottish ancestors didn’t buy into the Panama Canal scam!😎

Phenomenal!

Melissa_M, Jun 2026
