What are people saying about Edinburgh

Highlands with Russell
Although it was a long trip, Russell made the experience seem quick. He was kind, witty, a great storyteller, and an excellent driver. His knowledge of the Highlands and the history surrounding Scotland were spectacular. I also loved that he used an ice breaker for all sixteen passengers to talk a little about themselves. Were it not for that, we may not have known we were sitting directly in front of a couple who lived ten minutes away from us in the states and who shared mutual friends. Overall, 10/10 stars for Russell and Rabbies.

Great St. Andrew’s Day Trip
Great day trip - learn a lot thru the drive and then have downtime to explore at the three stops - loved having three hours to really see St Andrew’s. Enough to really explore the ruins, see the cute town, walk on the beach and have a lovely lunch at the Clubhouse overlooking the famous golf course. Our guide Allie was wonderful!

Hairy Coos and Loch Ness
The whole day was brilliant Our driver Steven B was lovely Be aware of the first stop and the Hairy Coo with wicked red eyes , he was beautiful but don’t get too close Loch Ness is beautiful do yourself a favor and do both the boat and the castle- loads of history Oh and on the boat have the highland hot chocolate it left me warm for the rest of the day (Whiskey and hot chocolate who’d of thought) Perfect combination Also take your lunch or buy a sandwich at the first stop the castle cafe was out of control Unfortunately for us due to a car accident we couldn’t finish said tour, Steven our driver back tracked and took us to a beautiful village on the way home Even though we didn’t see all of what was in the tour we had a brilliant day The highlands are beautiful

If I capture Nessie, I am retiring to the Scottish Countryside
The ground crew directed us where we needed to be when we first arrived. Both the driver and tour guide were lovely. Our driver seemed confident behind the wheel which made us feel safe and comfortable. Being an Edinburgh local our tour guide Ryan was knowledgeable and understanding of other cultures which seem to intermingle with Scottish history and his stories. The man is very funny and entertaining, I didn't know I was booking a stand up comedian alongside my tour. For being our first tour guided trip, my Partner and I would like to say cheers to the Hairy Coo Team. Love from a Brisbane couple. 🇦🇺🇦🇺

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Edinburgh is near centuries-old castles and abbeys, scenic lochs and valleys, and many more sites that make perfect Edinburgh day trips. Get out to the Highlands to experience windswept landscapes and moody skies, and see if you can find the Loch Ness monster. Take a visit to neighboring coastal fishing villages and hear all about their history. Try some scotch on tasting tours, and get involved in some Scottish storytelling, too. There are plenty of preplanned Edinburgh day trips to keep you entertained.
