Meet your guide on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in the early evening. Your guide will be dressed as one of the Scottish capital’s most infamous historical characters, bringing an extra spook factor to your experience.
Then, set out on foot to explore the hidden wynds and closes radiating from the Royal Mile. Stroll through shadowy lanes and courtyards, and listen as your guide details their dark history and horrifying secrets, hearing tales of the criminality and murders once rife here.
Next, head to what is claimed to be the world’s most haunted cemetery: Greyfriars Kirkyard. Walk around the tombstones, and listen to stories of poltergeists, missing bodies, and the graveyard’s famously loyal dog.
Lastly, follow your guide into Edinburgh’s underground vaults. Explore the dark subterranean chambers, and uncover their 400-year history as you hear gruesome snippets about ghosts, torture, murder, witchcraft, and unexplained events.

Agnes was a very interesting and entertaining tour guide. We would thoroughly recommend. The tour of the vaults and Greyfriars was interesting and atmospheric. Thank you.
Night tour on foot through the darker parts of Edinburgh history and underground vault. Cassandra was great with her background character and sharing history and spooks as we went.
This was a not a true tour experience nor a true underground experience. This was a comedy show in motion. The guide was a delight but you should know what to expect. A person with money owns property and has constantly sold a bill of goods around what ‘spooky’ things happened in that property. Educational? No. Interactive? Sure in the sense of a comedy show, you’ll have a laugh. You won’t be able to ask questions. Don’t do into this thinking you’ll understand Edinburgh better or how the city evolved.
Very slow. Not scary at all. Not worth the money. Was told it would have some scary moments, nothing was scary. We were in the middle of two other tours and could barely hear our guide. So frustrating.
This is the least ghost-y ghost tour we've ever taken. Definitely not spooky. It's more like a gross history tour of Edinburgh, describing the crime, lack of sanitation, and cannibalism that are part of Edinburgh 's past.
Cassandra was the best guide ever! Made it super fun for everyone and was incredibly informative and funny!

Joined the 7:45PM tour with Dr. Frederick Knox last week, and had an absolute blast! I booked it for my brother and me, and it wasn't something that he was originally looking forward to, but by the end of the tour he was pleasantly surprised and said he had a good time! Our guide had the perfect blend of comedy and good story telling. With all the different types of tours available, I booked this one specifically, because I was hoping it was more "dark history" based versus "jump scare" spooky, and it was perfect! I wish it was a little bit longer in length, but only because I was enjoying hearing the stories and history of the area! Checking-in at the booth was easy, and the tour leaves promptly at the start time, so make sure you're at the meeting spot with enough time to check in before the tour is set to start.
Cool experience. Lafayette was awesome and really into the tour. Got to see parts of the city you usually wouldn’t.
Our walk was with David Rizzo, such a fun time, kept the information interesting with a humor and theatrics. It was charming and had some good giggles along the way.
Our guide was fabulous, with some crazy stories/information shared with up, and pretty creepy (in a good way!). Highly recommend taking this tour!

The tour guide felt like she was reading from a script. She warned the group that she walked fast and we were able to keep up but I saw several people struggling, the group would get separated several times, and she would start the next story without the whole group standing around her. Book with a different company…
Our expectations were that we would be “exploring” a good portion of the underground area but spent very little time there.
Did a lot of walking and what seemed like very little touring.
The sites/stories we visited/heard were already known to us.

So fun and spooky!! Our guide Cassandra was awesome!, answered questions, told great stories, and was funny too. We went at 8:45pm so the graveyard was really dark and spooky Definitely recommend!!
Awesome tour with a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The stories were vivid and he created an atmosphere of fun and adventure.
We had such a wonderful time on the tour! It was incredibly interesting, and the views of the places we visited were absolutely spectacular—there were so many beautiful sights that we wanted to take pictures of everything!
The stories and anecdotes shared by our guide made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Our guide was so friendly, funny, and engaging, while also being extremely professional. He did a fantastic job interacting with everyone in the group and made us feel welcome, included, and part of the experience every step of the way.

This tour was so fun! Maggie did a phenomenal job balancing laughs while providing a look into Edinburghs darker history. I also enjoyed the haunted side of things and it was a once in a lifetime experience. I definitely recommend this tour!
We went at night once it was dark and I think that was a good decision

We had a fantastic and magical experience with Lafayette, our tour guide! He was very informative and funny. He was particularly kind to me since I was slow and had a little problem walking. He even stayed with us after to direct us where to get our transportation to go back to our hotel.
Cassandra Bean was a great tour guide. She was full of stories, made sure everyone could hear her and was engaging. The tour focuses on three sites with ghost stories. It is suitable for teens upward given the content.

Wonderful time with our guide Soldier Jock! He was funny, entertaining, and gave us many historical and spooky stories of the city. We visited the cemetery and underground vault. My 10 yr old really enjoyed it, although he did get spooked!
