It was a fun first food tour for us to learn about Scottish food from a Scottish person. We learned about some Scottish culture and a bit about whisky too. The tour was the right amount of time and walking. Did not feel rushed. Nichola was fun and funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

This tour was a lot of fun! I thoroughly enjoyed going from pub to pub and trying different kinds of food. All worth it. I've never tried haggis before, but boy, it was so good. I enjoyed the company of our group; they were all lovely and fine people to spend a few hours with. Our guide, Craig Michael, was brilliant. He was knowledgeable and funny, and best of all, he was a Doctor Who fan! Our last stop was Mimi's Bakehouse, and those scones were so good! If you're looking for a great time and good food, this tour is for you!

Nyssa was an excellent guide. She told fun and informative stories as she led us between several food stops. It was not a large amount of food, but the variety was good. I was solo and felt completely comfortable.

Nyssa was absolutely wonderful! She took us to all the authentic places and had us try all the foods we were curious about like haggis(which we really enjoyed)! You could see her love for the city and delicious food and drinks. We got so much out of the tour since it wasn’t just a food tour but also a history lesson of the city! Highly recommend!

I am still not sure what the "secret dish" was.
Guide was on time, friendly, funny. At times he walked ahead of the group and it was hard to catch up; this was during the Fringe and Tattoo and crowds were huge.

This food tour was perfect. We wanted to experience some authentic Scottish food and the tour did not disappoint. All of the food was really good and we never had to wait for anything. We moved smoothly from one location to the next and got some history of the area as well.

Great introduction to some of the most popular foods in Scotland. It was helpful to visit the restaurants and shops in town. Having a map of their locations to go along with the tour would be really helpful.

This tour was worth the time and money! Our guide Carlos was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Not just a food tour! Our guide Joanne was excellent and gave us not only the best of food in Scotland, but so much historic about the city as well. Lots of walking to help you manage all of the delicious food and drink. A fun, thorough and educational tour not to be missed!

The Food tour is a glimpse into the Scottish culture. We had a great variety of traditional foods, desserts, and whiskey. The choice venues were excellent. The guide, Carlos, gave us historical backgrounds to the food as well as an explanation of things we passed along the way. His sense of humor kept it light and enjoyable

This tour was great. We had booked a different food tour that cancelled the day before. We booked this one as a replacement and we are so happy it worked out this way. Craig was a great tour guide. He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. He taught us a lot about the city and kept everyone engaged. The food and whisky were all great.

Very good introduction to Scottish food. Our guide, Carlos, was extremely knowledgeable about Scottish food and customs. He gave interesting information , history, and knowledge of the area. He has a good sense of humor and kept the tour moving at a good pace.

Good tour was fabulous! A bit of walking, a bit of sitting (w 2 opps for restrooms). Nysse, our guide, was great! Friendly and so informative on the history of the food and the area. Gotta eat the haggis - actually the dish was very tasty and a local favorite. We take food tours in every city we visit and highly recommend this one.

I have to say that besides the great food a desert on this tour I really think our guide Carlos made this great tour even better!! He was knowledgeable, funny, sweet and knew just what to tell us about!! We are almost 70 and we were with 2 other couples who were close to 30 and we all had a fantastic time!! Very well rounded guy!! It’s hard for me to separate this great food tour from the person who guided us. Both together were perfection!!

Nicola made sure everyone was included and entertained. We got to taste a lot of yummy things and the experience never felt rushed. The walk to each destination was just a couple of blocks. Walked away with a lot of recommendations of places in Edinburgh to check out while in town. Perfect tour to take early on during your trip to Edinburgh.
