This was our favorite thing we did in Edinburgh. Darren was absolutely amazing. He was super entertaining - and knowledgeable. We learned so much and had fun the whole time. We’re so grateful a local bartender recommended this tour to us! Definitely a must do.
It was wonderful experience and the tour guide was amazing(forgot the name 😅).
She did explaind everything.
Darren was fantastic! We did the 7:30 pm showing so graveyard was in the sunset and vaults were in the dark, perfect for the experience.
We had a great time on this tour. Jordan our guide was funny and made it fun and entertaining while still telling the history of the graves and of the vaults.
Great guide Jonoton- fun walk through the graveyard and the vaults. Definitely not for those who have difficulty with stairs or lots of walking- but really interesting and informative.
Did the graveyard and vaults tour last night and it was awesome! Diva was our guide and she was fantastic. I have a knee condition that makes large amounts of stairs challenging, however was able to manage this tour without any issues
Darren was a fantastic guide, honestly one of the best storytellers we've had on a tour in a while...maybe ever! He was both entertaining and informative. This is a good tour for general local history too, especially in the graveyard, the second half in the vaults definitely leans more on the ghost side of things. Very glad we went on this tour. Would recommend.
Jordan was fantastic! He was very detailed and knowledgeable. We had a great time! Would recommend without hesitation!
Bring an umbrella, and get ready for a range of entertaining stories with history and the fantastic all mixed in. Our guide, Ally, was engaging and fun.
Diva was beautiful and amazing... both as a guide and a spirit. Loved how she narrated the tour and she was very knowledgeable
Absolutely brilliant experience and host Darren was exceptional and really brought the experience to life! It was informative, interesting and didn’t want it to end
Our guide Ally was very impressive with her knowledge of the time period and how the happenings had a possible supernatural impact after the deaths of the individuals buried at n certain places of significance over Edinburgh.
Was a fun outing.
Such a fun and engaging tour!! Our guide Diva shared so many interesting facts about Edinburgh and its history. It’s a great way to start your trip to Edinburgh.
Excellent tour of the graveyard and the vaults. I liked learning the supernatural stories about the vaults as well as why you should NOT rub the dog statue's nose.
Every city has its ghosts - this is an educational tour or some of Edinburgh’s. Our guide, Louisa, told tales with deep knowledge of history and loads of humor.
This was a fun and interesting evening tour. We learned a lot about Edinburgh’s history. It does involve a lot of walking so be aware of that. The walking was part of the fun for us, so we really enjoyed it.
Wear sturdy non slip shoes and enjoy the atmosphere! Our guide was Diva and she was very entertaining and created a suitably spooky feel!
That was a really enjoyable experience. The guide was entertaining, knowledgeable, and kept the entire tour engaging with interesting stories and fascinating facts.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide Brendan was fantastic! He told us sooo many interesting stories. We loved Brendan. We loved how he showed us different vaults and their stories. 1000000% recommended.
Louisa was fun and the tour was great. We learned a lot of interesting history and the vaults were very spooky.
Our tour guide was Diva, she was lovely, had a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. Interesting tour and spooky in a fun way. Thank you
It was informative and entertaining, the guide -Jordan was excellent. His easy going delivery was also enthusiastic and made everyone at ease.
Darren was an awesome guide. Was well informed about the area and perfectly blended history with enough ghost stories to throughly entertain us. He also has a natural talent for story telling which added to our enjoyment.
The venues themselves were also fun. Both the greyfriars graveyard and the vaults.
Little communication and nebulous meeting point. Not giving a grace period for people confused about where precisely to go is a really poor business practice. If you decide to take this tour, make sure that you are early.
This is an excellent blend of history and ghost stories, in our case vividly presented by Brendon, who combines a natural knack of storytelling with detailed local knowledge and an unmistakable enthusiasm for his subject. Our tour was in turns enlightening, touching, shocking, funny and genuinely spooky. Highly recommended for anyone who would like to learn more about Edinburgh's seedy and often violent past.
Great tour and Brendon was so funny and scary. Great history along with the stories. The pace was good for all ages.
Derrick was great. I didn’t think out the vaults portion too well. When we arrived at the vault entrance my claustrophobia got the better of me so I bowed out at that point.
Lots of interesting story telling that helps you understand what it was like back in olden times in Edinburgh
Louisa was a good tour guide
Spooky, informative, and fun. I am glad I did it, it gave me a different perspective on the city. The vaults were especially terrifying and memorable.
This is a very educational and entertaining tour. Our guide Darren is a wonderful storyteller. He is very thorough with the details. The way he tells the stories while you are actually standing on the site that time almost did not change makes this tour a very memorable one for sure. I highly recommend it.
