What are people saying about Edinburgh

I've been to Edinburgh...
I've been to Edinburgh many times and done a lot of ghost tours but this was the best one I've been on. No costumes, no gimmicks, just a genuinely informative tour of all things gruesome and grisly. Ross, our guide, knew his stuff but was very personable and approachable. I also appreciated that he didn't rush us and made sure to wait for everyone to catch up. I learnt new things and visited new places so this really is a tour not to be missed

A Spooky Experience in Edinburgh
A great and unique way to experience part of the city! Tour guide (Jude) was fun and knowledgeable as we walked through the Royal Mile to the entrance of the vaults. We embraced changing Edinburgh weather by sheltering in the near by Close. Inside the vaults we heard stories of residents from history and about some encounters of other guests. I even discovered an encounter of my own on my hand - spooky!!

Shivers down the spine
We did the Greyfriars Kirkyard & Vaults tour with Jordan, who gave us a good feeling about life in the early days of Edinburgh and gave us the shivers with his stories about the ghosts haunting the graveyard and the Vaults . Reality enjoyed and recommend anyone to do this tour while in Edinburgh , it is a must !!

Great tour!
Fantastic tour and Nick was an awesome and informative guide. Learned heaps…never knew where the terms ‘graveyard shift’ and ‘saved by the bell’ originated until tonight. More about the grim, gruesome and realistic history of Edinburgh than about ghosts, which was great. Thanks Nick!

Brilliant
Extremely informative. Well worth a booking. Our guide (Glasgow Guy) sorry I can't remember his name but he was bloody brilliant. His interaction with us was top notch. Not to mention his witty sense of humour. 😁would highly recommend. Loved every minute.

The Great Lafayette was great, indeed!
We had an amazing time with The Great Lafayette! It was a fun tour where we learned a lot about Edinburgh’s history, while still getting spooked by all things haunted! Our guide was funny, entertaining and a bit scary, which only added to our experience. Awesome tour!

Executions, body parts and Robert Ferguson!
Our guide was Robert (not Ferguson, although we learnt a lot about him) and he was amazing! Really knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the history of Edinburgh. This was a varied and entertaining tour that kept us interested throughout. Our teenagers loved it too and the pace was just right. Not gimmicky at all - we thought it was excellent value and felt it was a highlight of our few days in Edinburgh.

Brilliant, interesting and good craic
Amazing tour, good laugh.....could be creepier.....shame about the health and safety but not the fault of the company, really interesting history and a great eery atmosphere on board.....shout out to our fellow Irish woman Sinead O'Horror, absolutely brilliant tour guide

A spooktacular experience!!
My friend and I went on this tour not expecting much as we had done a similar one the evening before with a different company but we were pleasantly surprised as this took us to different underground vaults and greyfriars kirkyard where we learned some spooky history and stories. Our tour guide Ben was absolutely fabulous with his story telling, with lots of laughs and a few jumpscares throughout which added that little bit extra to it. We done the tour through Storm Amy with very high winds and rain but again this made it a little more spooktacular. We would highly recommend.

It’s dark, but it’s also interesting and sometimes funny
The guide provided great information about the less pleasant aspects of Edinburgh’s history (some hilarious, some disturbing) as a starter and some background before we even got to the vaults. Once there we learned about what they were and how their use changed over time from practical to more insidious. For those that don’t do well in tight, unfamiliar surroundings like I do, it was a little much for me at the start, however the information and stories are a great distraction and it seems to go by quickly. I was glad I stuck it out to the end. The guide did a good job sharing what he knows of the history and his own experiences having spent decades going into the vaults. Which gives it a current rather than just historical accounting.

Must do!
Our tour guide David Rizzio (James) was HYSTERICAL!!! The tour was so funny while also pretty spooky! He had us laughing the entire time, sometimes to the point with tears in our eyes. This was the highlight of our entire trip. If you’re considering a night tour, we highly highly highly recommend this one, especially if you’re looking for something a bit raunchy.

Unique, Historical and Great experience
First off, our tour guide Linda was amazing, her knowledge unsurpassed but presented in such a way you could see and feel the history. This is a most unique tour giving a sense of Edinburgh you can’t obtain any other way. We were so impressed with the tour that we turned around and booked another Mercat the same day.
