Local Company for Private Tour!
This is a family-run operation not a large company, so the service is direct and personal. William was our driver/guide. Great communication, adaptable to our tendering delay from the ship, adjusted the day to our needs and was a friendly person to be with for seven hours. He personally walked us around each stop and provided general information. He paid attention to vantage points (less known parking spots or ways to enter popular areas) for efficient flow of the day. Excellent food recommendation for lunch! Safe driver. We highly recommend this tour and company!

Chose this tour because they provide headsets and mics for guide - so easy to hear!
Highly recommend this walking tour of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle - Andrea, our tour guide was excellent. Chose this tour specifically because they provide headphones and guide speaks into mic. So easy to hear her while we were walking as a group all around the Royal Mile. Saw other tours where guide was shouting to be heard - so glad we chose this tour! Andrea told us so much interesting info about old Edinburgh and the people who lived there, and the buildings on the Royal Mile. Since tickets to Castle are included in this tour, she got our tickets and we got in right away. She showed us all around the castle and pointed out where we should visit after (tours can't go inside the buildings). After the tour ended, we stayed another 1 1/2 hours to see all the insides of the buildings there. Highly recommend Andrea and this tour!

Wonderful tour!
Cal did a wonderful job taking us around Old Town. He has so much knowledge about the city and truly loves living in Edinburgh. He gave us a dinner recommendation and even ended our tour there to ensure we were taken care of. Great service!! Cal has a very thick Italian accent that was a little difficult for us to understand, but that’s our fault for only speaking English. Cal is a great ambassador for Edinburgh! So energetic, kind, and full of great information!

A great way to experience your first taste of Edinburgh...
Stuart, our unforgettable, devil may care tour guide! What a great way to experience our first taste of Edinburgh. Stuart was a great guide, with a great car to accommodate our family. His knowledge of the major tourist areas and beautiful vistas, coupled with his willingness to go off the beaten path were exactly the experience we were hoping for. Stuart was a perfect private tour guide, making the experience great for the whole family, including my father who has some ambulatory concerns. I highly recommend this tour.

This was my daughter's...
This was my daughter's first time to Scotland and we didn't have a lot of time to explore and see all of the sights. Our full day tour was fabulous and we enjoyed every minute of it. One of her bucket list items was to meet and pet a highland cow. Feeding Hammish was a delight and she enjoyed being able to feed him as well. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the highlands and lochs of Scotland.

Definitely book it it’s worth it!
I have been to Edinburgh before and throughout the Highlands. This time I was bringing my parents along and I had very specific ideas of what I wanted them to see. Not only did Jami accommodate that, but he added some fun things I had not seen along the way. He made sure to keep us on schedule while also adding facts we really enjoyed about Scottish history and the landmarks themselves. He knew all the best spots and angles for photos and helped us create many memories. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely book him again!

A wonderful tour of Edinburgh Castle in the city
Our guide, Hugo was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We enjoyed our time with him and all of the unique and insightful stories. He had the history of both both Edinburgh Castle, and the city. We would highly recommend this tour, it was a great and unique experience. I think Hugo could’ve gone to whatever level of detail and depth if we wanted at each spot, but there is just so much to see and learn about and he did an excellent job weaving in and out of history through his stories and narrative.
Really can’t say enough about how good this experience was.
Thank you Hugo!

Great Overview of Edinburgh!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour experience with Laura. It was a great way to get an historical, as well as current, overview of Edinburgh, and Laura did a fantastic job of keeping the tour interesting throughout our time together. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about Edinburgh. Thank you, Laura!!

Excellent for one day around the city.
Excellent city centre tour. Easy to find bus stops plus comfortable earphones with informative details of the city in multiple languages. Great for those with limited energy to get around the city and its top attractions.
We were informed these tickets covered red and blue route when purchasing, please note they do not. Red route only. There is another company Big Bus (also on Viator) that do the blue and red route. Plus another company that offer a green route.
The red route is perfect for a days exploring, red and blue for 2 days.

We had an exceptional experience with David! He worked to ensure the tour was targeted to the things we wanted to see and spent ample time at each stop explaining the history and significance with our two teenage boys. I would highly recommend a tour!

Easy intro to Edinburgh
This was the perfect introduction to Edinburgh. Our guide was Doug Scott, a local resident, who walked us around the city to see the highlights. He gave us a bit of history, a bit of humor, and some great suggestions for what to see after our time together. He went at our pace and answered our questions. Not only did we get the historical side of things, we also got a local's view of the new monarch, political climate, and his feelings for his town in general.

Great tour of Edinburgh
Great way to get an overview of the beautiful city of Edinburgh in four hours with a very knowledgable guide. Saf obviously loves the town and its rich history. He’s a skilled driver and knows how to take great photos of his customers capturing the best scenic views in the background.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
When you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time, trying to cover the centuries of history that have shaped Scotland's capital can feel daunting. Instead of relying on your phone or guidebook, delve deeper into the city's heritage on an Edinburgh private sightseeing tour. You'll experience the city through the eyes of a local, either by walking or driving, and can tailor your tour to include local food tasting or even cover filming locations on a Harry Potter-themed tour.
