We loved our walking tour...
We loved our walking tour with Lilia! We learned soooo much about an Edinburgh. It felt like we went at a very nice pace and it was really interactive and informative. Excellent introduction to a new city!! Definitely would recommend. We did 3 hours which was great for enough information at not too fast a pace.

The Highlight of Our Scotland Trip
This tour was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland! Every location was stunning, but what made this experience truly unforgettable was our guide, Jimmy. His knowledge of Scottish history, culture, and local legends brought every stop to life. He shared stories with passion, humor, and genuine pride for his country. He was how genuinely invested he was in making the experience special for each guest. During our tour, he learned that I was an Outlander fan and surprised me by stopping at one of the filming locations. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made an already incredible tour even more memorable. Jimmy also knew the best photo spots and made sure everyone had time to take in the incredible scenery.
The private tour experience made all the difference. Traveling in a new, clean, and very comfortable vehicle with panoramic views made the drives enjoyable, and the bottled water and snacks were a thoughtful touch.
If you want an engaging, personalized experience with someone who truly loves sharing Scotland, this is the tour to book. Jimmy’s kindness, flexibility, humor, and enthusiasm made this one of the best tours we’ve ever taken. We recommend him without hesitation and would book another tour with him in a heartbeat!

Great way to see the Scottish Hiands
A long day (12 hours), but absolutely worth it! We got to see the beauty of the Highlands, explore Loch Ness and meet and feed some absolutely adorable Highland Cows. Shak was our guide/driver and he made the day absolutely wonderful. He had the van stocked with water, sodas and tons of Scottish snacks. He also had carrots for the cows! He took great pictures, had recommendations on what to see and was great chatting with my 11 and 13 year old boys. It was a day we will all remember!

Great way to hit a lot of highlights in a short amount of time. Jimmy was a fun driver. The castle stop in the itinerary is closed on Tuesdays, the day we did our tour, but we got lucky and there were Highland Games going on! We were able to pop in and experience it which was a neat, unexpected surprise. Unfortunately the Kelpies were closed due to some freak plumbing/flooding thing going on but there’s nothing anyone could have done about that. Jimmy drove us just a further bit down the way so we could lay eyes on the Falkirk Wheel and that was cool to see.

An absolutely phenomenal full day tour of the highlands and Loch Ness! Noel was an incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable guide who made us comfortable, graciously took photos for us, and even stitched together a short recap video of our stops. We can't recommend his hospitality enough!

James was a fabulous guide for our 2 hour walking tour through Edinburgh. Very engaging with many historical and interesting stories about all the different sites. Highly recommend! Would note that the tour did not end back at our hotel even though this was how it was advertised.

Interesting tour with excellent guide!
We had a wonderful experience with Sandy as our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and full of fun facts. We got a great overview of Edinburgh. He was patient with those of us who had some mobility impairments and was able to modify his route to help us avoid too much walking. Excellent and informative tour. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Sandy to anyone who wants to visit Edinburgh!

Great way to see Edinburgh
There are 3 different bus routes, each one traveling to see some different places, so over 2 days, we went on all 3 routes, and we loved it. On 2 of the busses, there was pre-recorded commentary and on one, we had a very interesting and entertaining Scottish man telling us about everything we were seeing. He had some funny stories to tell and really made for an educational ride. We loved the overview of Edinburgh so we knew what we wanted to go back to later and explore.

Mally is the guide you want!
Mally was a great tour guide! He is an amazing story teller. Kept us so interested as we walked and he shared anecdotes and the history of the place. Never felt rushed as we walked from one place to another. His knowledge and his delivery ... just a great tour.

A great way to experience your first taste of Edinburgh...
Stuart, our unforgettable, devil may care tour guide! What a great way to experience our first taste of Edinburgh. Stuart was a great guide, with a great car to accommodate our family. His knowledge of the major tourist areas and beautiful vistas, coupled with his willingness to go off the beaten path were exactly the experience we were hoping for. Stuart was a perfect private tour guide, making the experience great for the whole family, including my father who has some ambulatory concerns. I highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful tour of Edinburgh Castle in the city
Our guide, Hugo was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We enjoyed our time with him and all of the unique and insightful stories. He had the history of both both Edinburgh Castle, and the city. We would highly recommend this tour, it was a great and unique experience. I think Hugo could’ve gone to whatever level of detail and depth if we wanted at each spot, but there is just so much to see and learn about and he did an excellent job weaving in and out of history through his stories and narrative.
Really can’t say enough about how good this experience was.
Thank you Hugo!

When you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time, trying to cover the centuries of history that have shaped Scotland's capital can feel daunting. Instead of relying on your phone or guidebook, delve deeper into the city's heritage on an Edinburgh private sightseeing tour. You'll experience the city through the eyes of a local, either by walking or driving, and can tailor your tour to include local food tasting or even cover filming locations on a Harry Potter-themed tour.
