We had a great tour with Leo! A very informative experience with fun interactive trivia as you go. We were pleasantly surprised about the historical, symbolic, and Scotland specific fun facts we were able to learn along the way!
We had such a wonderful time on the Harry Potter walking tour! Robbie was an excellent guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable about Harry Potter and the history behind the locations we visited. He made the entire tour engaging, entertaining, and really brought everything to life.
My husband and I both really enjoyed the experience, and Robbie did a great job making the tour interesting and fun throughout. You could tell he genuinely loves the subject, and his enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable.
We would absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Robbie as a guide. Thank you for such a fun and memorable experience!
Moderate number of sites related to Harry Potter. Tour guide used much of the allotted time to play Potter Trivia. Spent inordinate amount of time on Grayfriar Bobby - a dog with no Potter relevance. Missed Mad Eye Moodies gravestone and ignored the tunnel used in the opening of book for - it was 200 yards away!
Very informative about JK Rowling journey from college student to successful author. Great way to orient yourself to the city. Our guide was very informative and funny!
Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and did a great job explaining Edinburgh and Scotland’s connections to J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter stories. We covered a lot of ground, so be prepared for plenty of walking, but it was an interesting and enjoyable way to see the city and learn more about the places that helped inspire the books.
Robbie was our tour guide and he was amazing!! Very knowledgeable, fun, and engaging! I learned a lot of new things about Harry Potter and the inspiration behind it. I highly recommend booking a tour with Robbie!
This was (pardon the pun) magical. Leo was the best tour guide ever-funny, engaging, & SO knowledgeable about Harry Potter. You got to see plenty of places from the books & movies (including places I would've otherwise missed), and they make the interactive element delightful. Also helped that our house won the Cup! :)
Truly recommend if you're a big or casual fan of the series-really a must.
Very interesting tour for Harry Potter fans. Know your trivia. Some steep streets and uneven walkways. Guide was very informative.
Disappointed with tour guide & places seen. I left tour half way thru .Places seen I could easily do on my own
This tour is well worth the time and the money! Xander was personable, knowledge and fun. Would highly recommend investing in a couple of hours to learn much about Harry Potter and Edinburgh in general..
So much fun! Harrison was knowledgeable and entertaining, we learned a lot, had a great time, and saw a lot of the beautiful city!
Was very nice way to get a feel for the layout of the city as well as some fun facts. Our guide was very nice and easy to understand
Harrison did an excellent job on our Harry Potter walking tour. This was a great way to start our trip in Edinburgh.
Orla is a wonderful and knowledgeable person. She knows almost everything about Harry Potter, as well as the stories and events that took place in Edinburgh.
Monique gave a great tour! She had such good energy and was so passionate about the tour. We learned so much!
Our tour guide, Robbie made this truly a great experience. Tour was informative, entertaining as you see many Edinburgh historical and more modern sites. Fun Harry Potter Trivia throughout the walk. Great information on local dining, drinking and more.
The guide, Kieran, made it fun and interesting, even for my husband who doesn't know much about Harry Potter.
Great tour for any Harry Potter fan! The guide, Frank, had a mini quiz through the tour for HP fans and many interesting historical tidbits about Edinburgh.
Kieran was very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and did a great job as a tour guide! This was a great way to get around most of Edinburgh while learning Harry Potter fun facts.
Frank was terrific! We learned so much! Highly recommend! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to locations where some of the films were filmed and inspired. Learned a lot about the author of the books.
Disappointing. Not about Harry Potter locations at all. Guide seemed to be trying to fill time. We bailed after 30 mins.
Fen is knowledgeable and engaging. He showed us a lot of interesting places that inspired JKR. Thank you.
Excellent memorable experience for Harry Potter fan of any age! You get to know so many new things about the inspiration behind the stories in the books, see the incredible views of Edinburgh, and learn about less known facts about the author JK Rowlings and her books. Our guide Finley, was an incredible guide, energetic, engaging and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!
Frank was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on JK Rollings and Scotland. I enjoyed our walk around with him.
The experience was okay, but honestly, it wasn’t as impressive as I expected. There were some interesting Harry Potter-related locations and information, but overall I felt it could have been better organised and more engaging. It might be more enjoyable for serious Harry Potter fans, but for me it was just an average experience.
I wish I could have gone on the tour, I’m sure it would have been great but my ship couldn’t enter to port. While I was sad to miss this city and tour as a Potterhead, but I am reviewing this tour regardless to provide feedback on pre tour communication. I received no pre tour communication and when I let them know that I would not make the trip, they didn’t communicate at all. I understand that no refund within 24 hours is policy but I would have liked a “I’m sorry you couldn’t make it but if you’re ever back in Edinburgh, I invite you back on this tour or any other tour I host.” Rather, I heard nothing. A true sign of customer service on this providers part.
Incredible experience! Some tours repeat a lot of info/history, but this one was different. Monique did an awesome job storytelling and keeping the group engaged. Highly recommend!!
What a fun walking tour filled with fun Harry Potter trivia and local Edinburgh gems! Mernique was enthusiastic and super knowledgeable.
We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide, Robbie, was fantastic and, as a Harry Potter fan himself, made the whole experience so much more fun and entertaining.
We even got sorted into our own Hogwarts houses at the beginning — although Robbie somehow put me in Slytherin when I am very clearly a Gryffindor at heart 😂 — but I decided to let that one slide!
Throughout the tour, Robbie kept things interactive by quizzing us on Harry Potter trivia and letting us earn points for our Hogwarts houses along the way. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts, filming locations and little details we probably would never have noticed on our own. He also gave us plenty of time to stop for photos and shared some great recommendations for other places to visit.
It was informative without ever feeling too serious, and Robbie’s enthusiasm for Harry Potter really added to the experience.
Would absolutely recommend this tour to any Harry Potter super fan — especially if you enjoy a little friendly Hogwarts house competition along the way! ⚡️🪄
And I have seen the photographic evidence. Slytherin card in your hand. The Sorting Hat clearly had an administrative malfunction that day. 😂 Gryffindor appeal pending. 🦁⚖️
