What are people saying about Edinburgh

Great tour and guide - would have been excellent with AC
The 5-star review is for the driver and overall experience but not for the nonfunctional AC on the tour bus. John L. was a great chauffeur and tour narrator providing a lot of historical information along the way, along with some funny jokes. The tour was well organized with sufficient time at each stop and was a great way to see several historical sites outside of Edinburgh. Highly recommend taking the cruise on Loch Lomond and purchasing tickets for the Stirling Castle tour as these were excellent. The only downside was that we discovered after about 10 minutes on the motorway that the bus air conditioning was not working. John and several passengers tried to get it working, without success. We credit John for keeping his cool (no pun intended) and managing the situation as best he could, since he too was impacted by this problem. But the day was quite hot and the ride unbearably hot at times. The tour company, Timberbush, should do a better job ensuring that everything on a tour bus is in working order or be prepared to bring a replacement bus.

Excellent tour guide
We had an excellent tour guide named Shaqif. He was funny, told Scotland history stories and did impressions of Jamie. I would do this tour again with him. The one thing that could be better with the tour is Lallybrouch was only one room and that was pretty much it. The outside looks just like in the show. We also got to see highland cattle! So cute! Over all this was a 5 star tour.

This tour is a must!
If you have William as your guide, there will be no lack of history and great humor. This tour is a must have for an amazing drive with stops through the Highlands and to Loch Ness, ending the perfect way with a stop to feed some "hairy coos!" A small bit of info: the tour says that it does not include food, so my husband and I packed food, but there are plenty of stops and time to get food/coffee/snacks on the way; no packing needed!

Amazing tour and guide!
Deborah was a fantastic tour guide and excellent driver! We highly enjoyed our tour out of the city, especially the trip to Stirling Castle. Deborah gave us Scottish history, stories and crucial information needed to appreciate and understand each of the stops on the tour. There was food and bathrooms at each stop. We highly recommend Stewart Tours and this trip. The boys from NYC certainly had a great time. With Deborah as your tour guide, you know you’re in good hands!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Edinburgh is near centuries-old castles and abbeys, scenic lochs and valleys, and many more sites that make perfect Edinburgh day trips. Get out to the Highlands to experience windswept landscapes and moody skies, and see if you can find the Loch Ness monster. Take a visit to neighboring coastal fishing villages and hear all about their history. Try some scotch on tasting tours, and get involved in some Scottish storytelling, too. There are plenty of preplanned Edinburgh day trips to keep you entertained.
