Worth The Hike

BEAUTIFUL park with so much history. Monserrat was such an excellent tour guide, We actually ended up booking both Sagrada Familia and Park Guell with the same company - Golden Tours. I would recommend them. The review below from Alex is very wrong. He was actually standing next to me when he was complaining to the customer service rep. He was 30 minutes late for his tour. Make sure to be 5-10 minutes early so the tour can start on time. 5 stars for sure.

Memorable visit to a very special place

It has been 10 years since I visited Montserrat and I was so happy to return to this very very special place. Our guides MK and Miro (spelling?) were excellent. Both offered a different perspective. It was a really enjoyable day and I was happy about all the recommendations. I visited the museum, which is excellent, and my husband took a walk out to the cross, which he enjoyed. MK was very gracious about bringing me to a chapel that I had been too many years ago, but that technically was closed because it was holy Saturday, but we got permission to visit. I was really grateful for him going the extra mile. This, to me, is a do not miss if you are visiting Barcelona.

Amazing!

Tina was absolutely awesome! We had toured the Sagraga Familia years ago with the phone tour. We learned so much more that we learned then! As Christians, it was a sacred experience to hear about all the symbolism that Gaudi and his successors put into the basilica. I thought it was finished, but Tina explained all that is yet to complete. I don't think we will make it back at the planned completion in 2033, but I am moved beyond measure to have visited after the completion of the Christ's tower. We did not use the tower option because of the one line, spiral staircase we would have had to take down the tower, but I am sure it would have been magnificent!

Jorge is awesome!

The history of the building is amazing, but the architecture far exceeds the imagination. The golden hour tour is the best time to see the amazing colors . Our guide, Jorge, was so well informed, interesting and enthusiastic. He even insisted on taking pictures of each party in our small group. We have had three tours over the years and Jorge was awesome!

Omid and Luz were fantastic! Door to door pickup and drop off service. Friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. Omid even made us lunch reservations for our group, we did not have to worry about anything. Nice blend of walking and driving to see attractions. Bus was comfortable and the tour group was small so it felt intimate and not rushed. 10/10, highly recommmed!

Super easy to meet up with our tour guide. Booking was straightforward but it costs a bit more than the entrance fee if you forget to book 1 month before you are going.
