We really enjoyed this experience. We walked and took a bus to a number of interesting sites; our guide Angie was interesting, engaging and knowledgeable. Our time at each site was limited, but Angie gave us suggestions about what we should go back and check out when we had more time. Having skip-the-line access to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia were features we really appreciated.

What an excellent host and travel guide for Barcelona Oriole was. His knowledge and delivery to his guests was terrific. The whole tour was top notch and we had a diverse age population from 2 to 82. This was a walking tour along with a van ride and we saw all of Barcelona. Loved it. Thank you, Orie.

Wonderful tour! Lidia did an amazing job. Very much enjoyed the day. Bring a coat/jacket, depending on time of the year.

Overall, the sites were enjoyable and as advertised. My reason for the 3 stars is because this tour was advertised for 7 hours and was in fact closer to 8.5 hours. Due to the size of our group, the tickets were split into 2 timeslots for the Sagrada Familia; the first group at 3:00, and the 2nd group at 4:30. Understandable given the volume of tickets needed for a popular attraction. The issue is we were not made aware up front that we were in the 4:30 group until after our group was split. Had we have known before the tour began, I would have said we needed to be in the first group because we had to meet with our main tour group at 6:00 back at our hotel. Our guide Dascha was not able to switch us at that point and by the time we entered the Sagrada Familia at 5:00, we had 10 minutes inside before we had to leave. We had to ditch the local guide and do a quick walk through in the main cathedral area with no time to explore or hear the history. We certainly didn't get our money's worth but more importantly, we will never get an opportunity to go back to experience Sagrada. If you are part of cruise group or any other tour group on a time table, be sure to ask your guides BEFORE the tour starts and gets split in two whether you are in the early group or later group so you don't miss out and what is the highlight of this tour.

Andres and Paulina were fantastic! They were so knowledgeable and considerate. They added a wealth of information that we would have not been privy to otherwise. Book this trip. Lots of walking but how else do you expect to see the city?! Enjoy

Do not book with Viator

Don't book with viator. They overbooked 6 People yesterday and said sorry nothing we can do for today. Please come-back an other day. The guides were really nice. They allowed us to do the walking tour at least. So book directly with the agency.

Decent experience. The Basilica Familiar was quite the experience. Crowded, but worth the visit. You are left on you own there, once you arrive. Our tour guide was experienced, but we could not hear most of what she said during the walking tour before. She spoke too quietly. Also, the ad states your tour would eat at a family owned restaurant, but we were all left to eat at a place of our own choice. Nothing was scheduled. Took 7 hours. If I could do it all again, would try for just for the Basilica tour.

You need to be in pretty good shape. Very brisk waking to see everything. I wish that we would have stayed at Sagrada Familia. It was packed when we got there at 330. And lunch was very very expensive and not good at all

Great Tour, Disappointing Lunch Experience

We took the “Best of Barcelona: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Montjuïc & Gothic” tour with Barcelona Local Experiences, and the tour itself was fantastic. Our guide, Andes, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day very enjoyable—definitely 5 stars and we would highly recommend him. Unfortunately, the lunch experience took away from an otherwise great day. The guide offered to make a reservation at a nearby restaurant, Alta Taverna Picca-Dilly, which we accepted. Our group, along with others from the tour, all dined there. We ordered 3 paellas along with several tapas to share, but the server brought 5 paellas and dismissed our attempt to correct it saying that is what he heard, leaving us with far too much food. The service declined after that, and we were even charged for bread that was presented as complimentary. The experience felt misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of—especially given it came through a tour recommendation. Great tour overall, but we recommend making your own lunch plans.

Must Do This Excursion with Oriol and Nacho!

This tour was the absolute highlight of our time in Barcelona and we owe it to our tour guides Oriol and Nacho. They were so funny and personable yet very knowledgeable! They were able to answer question we had about Barcelona and its history and they even provided us with an in depth list of recommendations for restaurants, bars, view points and more! We started with a walking tour of the gothic quarter which was absolutely amazing. We then took a break for a snack/restroom break and proceeded to a beautiful view point and park guell via bus. They allowed us an hour of free time to explore the park and then we headed for lunch which was absolutely delicious! We finished off at Sagrada Família where we said our good byes and explored the basilica on our own. I couldn’t recommend this tour more; do not leave Barcelona without doing this tour with Oriol and Nacho!

Great tour

This was a great trip, having some time on the bus in between the walks was welcome rest. The tour was well balanced and we saw a lot of different areas in Barcelona that we may not have discovered alone. Our guide Nacho was knowledgeable and spoke good English. I would recommend this tour: I liked that we finished at Sagrada Família and had our own time to explore :)

So worth it!

I love the tour. Nacho was very nice and knowledgeable. You could tell that he love his job and know his stuff. So patient and cool. Unfortunately, we had to cut our tour short because we needed to go back on the ship. The things I love the most was how easy it was to get inside the Sagrada because of their ticket. We went ahead of the line! The bus was clean and new, and the itinerary was comprehensive. I am glad I took this tour. Highly recommended.

As promised, a great overview of Barcelona at a reasonable price

This experience is as promised. You see most of the highlights of this amazing city in 7-8 hours. Excellent guides with Ori and Andre who made the best of awful weather. For the lunch avoid ordering drinks, it’s unreasonably expensive (15 EUR for basic cocktail, 10 EUR for a beer).

Angie was a great tour...

Angie was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. This tour has lots of walking. We had my mom in a wheelchair and she was able to participate. Some of the tour required her to walk due to the terrain. Streets are uneven and lots of construction. Beautiful tour!

I travel often and this tour is definitely in my top 3 of all time. I highly recommend it for seeing as much as you can in a short period of time. The tour starts with a walk through of a few cities with some great history for a little over an hour and then you will hop on a very comfortable bus for the rest of the tour stops and end at the gorgeous Sagrada Família. Tours of course ultimately rely on tour guides and our guide Miro was the best! You can tell he loves what he does, he’s knowledgeable and very engaging! The restaurant he recommends for lunch is absolutely to die for, we went back the next day! We actually ran into him the next day and asked him transportation questions as we were lost on how to properly get there and he still helped us with no hesitation even though we were not in his current tour, I feel that should show you how genuine he is. I forgot to mention we had come off of a cruise ship and were worried about running late due to customs and the company kept in great contact with me the whole way until I got to the meeting point. Book this tour, you won’t regret it especially if Miro is your guide!
