We are so glad we fit in this half day tour during our time in Barcelona. Francesco was a wonderful tour guide, and we enjoyed the history and stories during the bus trip there and back. It was nice to have plenty of free time- we were able to take the funicular up to the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful views.

This was a fun tour to be apart of. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun. Make sure you pack a light jacket when you go as the temperature drops a few degrees when you get high up in the mountains. There are plenty of places to get lunch on top of Montserrat. But leave a few minutes towards the end of the tour to pick up some of the delicious cheese and nuts from the local market. I think we spent $30 Euros :-). Expect amazing views if the weather cooperates. You will want to spend some quiet time inside the beautiful church and with the Black Madonna.

Nice air conditioned private bus takes you directly to Monserrat from meeting location. Adrian, our tour guide, was great and had a good sense of humor. Unfortunately it was a very foggy day with light rain, so we could not enjoy the sweeping views, but still glad we visited Montserrat. The basilica was amazing!!!! Even enjoyed the little farmer’s market outside.

Bussed to the Monserrat Monastery accompanied by a lively history lesson on the way there. Had free time in the village area before watching the boys choir.
Cam was an excellent tour guide with a great sense of humor.

Best tour yet! Hugo was amazing! We’re in Barcelona for only 3 days and was hesitant to take this journey because of the proximity and duration. I’m so happy we decided to visit. Montserrat is beautiful and worth the time to tour. From the very beginning to the end, our tour guide, Hugo, was outstanding! Our guide was great, the area was beautiful, I learned a lot about Barcelona history, but once we got to the monestary, things became very touristy. In addition, we paid to see the Black Madonna several weeks in advance of the trip. While on the trip we received an email and an $11 credit saying we would not be able to see the Black Madonna. You would think no one could see her but that wasn’t true. Once we got there, we couldn’t see the Black Madonna but others in our group could. I guess we weren’t the chosen ones. Very frustrating and very disappointing. Viator let us down.

It was an enjoyable day. We had 2 guides on the bus who were entertaining. After monastery, we split into 2 smaller groups which was nice. My guide explained what we were seeing and doing. I learned so much.

Our half-day tour today to Montserrat and La Moreneta was truly awesome and memorable. Touching the Lady Madonna was such a touching and spiritual experience, and walking up the trail to the cross made the whole visit even more special. The atmosphere and vibes of the place were simply peaceful and breathtaking.
I only wish we had more time to enjoy the funicular ride, but even without it, the experience was already well worth it.
A big part of what made the tour so enjoyable and easy to appreciate were our guides, Roberto and Oreo. Their background stories and commentaries gave us a deeper understanding of Montserrat, and they delivered everything with humor and energy that kept the tour fun and never boring. Highly recommended!

Roberto was an excellent guide and entertaining. You should definitely include the Black Madonna in your itinerary. There's a market with families selling cheeses, delicious mato, and other homemade treats which are very yummy - they provide samples.
Take the funicular to the top and walk some of the trails for different views, it's very beautiful.

Our Guide Montserrat (yes she’s named after the mountain) was engaging and knowledgeable. The only thing that marred the experience was we were not able to enter the basilica as mass was happening. We did get to touch the Black Madonna. I was disappointed in not actually seeing the church

Montse was our guide and she was wonderful. She recommended the best vendors for cheese and bread had excellent knowledge of the monastery. She advised us to hike to the cross on the mountain and we were very glad we did!

Excellent tour. Next time I would go for the full day, instead of half day. By the time we finished seeing the Black Madona and eat a bite, we didn’t have much time left to go up to the cross monument.
Tour guides Camilo, Kiko, and driver Diego were all excellent. Would go back if possible.
