The Scenic Te Mata Peak Supertrike tour was honestly one of my favorite parts of our two-week trip. Riding in the open-air trike made the whole experience feel adventurous and unique. The drive itself is incredible, taking you through beautiful countryside and up toward Te Mata Peak, with amazing scenery the whole way. The ride up to the top was an absolute blast, and the views from the peak were stunning. You get incredible panoramic views over Hawke’s Bay and the surrounding landscape, which made the whole experience really special. Our guide was fantastic too — the perfect balance of being chatty and sharing interesting information while also giving us time to just relax and enjoy the ride and scenery. It never felt rushed and the vibe was really fun and easygoing. A couple quick tips: bring a scarf or face covering you can pull up over your mouth because the wind can get strong during the ride, and definitely wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience and easily one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re visiting Napier and want something a little different with incredible views, I highly recommend this tour!

John was an excelkent guide, and each tasting was informative and led by knowledgeable, enthusiastic wine experts who were genuinely pleased to conduct each session. Very highly recomnended!
