Fantastic Auckland Overview with Roy!

Roy was an excellent tour guide and provided a very relaxing ride. He picked us up right at our hotel with water bottles ready to go. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and we really liked how he blended his own commentary with historical audio recordings. Without Roy, we wouldn't have learned nearly as much about Auckland, and we definitely would have missed out on some interesting sites we never would have thought to visit. We especially loved exploring the North Head Historic Reserve. Thanks for the great tour, Roy!

Wife and I did this as a day trip. 7 am meetup, 2 hr bus ride to Hobbiton, 3 hr tour, 1 hr lunch, 2 hrs return trip. The Gotcha is rush hour traffic coming back into Aukland. But we were back at the bus terminal before 4 pm. It was a great experience. Every picture looks like it was taken from the Hobbit movie.

A great morning well spent

Communication with the tour company and guide during the day were great, comfortable transport, and time spent at locations were adequate and flexibile. The itinery stated at kitekite falls you could walk to the top or bottom, the top was not mentioned(not sure if it was possible?). The guide needed persistant affirmation to walk to the bottom with me but i couldnt go only halfway. Ample time to explore at the Black beach and a quick stop for lunch. A great morning well spent

A day to remember with John

The tour was great! We got to witness amazing landscapes, learn more about Māoris’ history and culture and enjoy both fun and relaxing experiences. Our guide John was very knowledgeable and with great sense of humour, as well as super organized giving us a day to remember with his jokes and great hospitality. I would definitely recommend the tour. P.S. on the wonderland, if you are a fast walker go for the green walk too, it’s worth it.

Wonderful day in Rotorua

We had such an amazing day trip to Rotorua! Even before the tour started, the communication was excellent. They had to reschedule our tour, but kept us updated the whole time and made everything so easy. Pickup was right on time, and the small group made the experience feel much more personal and relaxed. Jason was fantastic! He was so friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He kept everyone engaged during the drive by sharing interesting facts and even quizzing us along the way. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and every stop was worth it. We honestly loved every second of the day and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Zealand!

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour both fun and informative with stories and behind-the-scenes insights. Finishing the tour with a drink at the Green Dragon Inn was the perfect way to end the experience. Even if you’re not a huge Lord of the Rings or Hobbit fan, this is a truly unique experience that showcases the beauty of New Zealand and the amazing craftsmanship behind the movie set. Bus tour guide, caves tour guide and Hobbiton tour guide were all great! Trip went smoothly and left and returned on time/early. Great itinerary glad we got to see both Waitomo and Hobbiton in one day as we were only here for a weekend. Included lunch was good too included a side and dessert. Bus was comfy and had wifi.

An Auckland must do

With a couple of extra days in Auckland I had asked on FB for recommendations on what to do. A couple of contributors replied that this was an absolute "must do". We duly booked it for the afternoon of our arrival. With glorious sunny weather it seemed we were all set for a memorable afternoon. Unfortunately when we turned up we were advised that due to winds it would not go ahead. Clearly safety was of utmost importance so gold star for that. We were offered the opportunity to receive a refund or to rearrange. Staff at the desk went out of their way to assist us. We were lucky enough to be able to rearrange and for the sail to go ahead. And it was certainly a memorable one for our last day in Auckland I think the yacht can take 30 passengers but i don't think there was a full contingent. The crew were friendly whilst at the same time being professional. Safety procedure were clearly explained to us. The crew explained the history of the yacht to us and engaged with us continually. There is an opportunity to actually help with crewing the yacht and it was certainly tempting to .join in. However we just took the opportunity to sit back and enjoy an exhilarating experience. It might not be the cheapest of experiences but we loved every minute and were so glad we did it.

Hobbiton and the glow worm caves

Wonderful experience even though the morning consisted of pouring down rain. The rain finally eased when we arrived at Hobbiton. It is beautiful and magical. We then had an ale at the Green Dragon pub and went to see the glow worm caves. It also is amazing. We made the drive back to Auckland but stopped for some Hokey Pokey ice cream. Excellent day and there were plenty of bathroom stops. Our driver/guide was named Warren and he is excellent.

Excellent tour. Highly recommend.

This was an excellent tour of Auckland. We were very comfortable in a Mercedes Van and our guide, Danny, was very knowledgeable about the area. We really enjoyed his commentary. We had taken a previous half-day tour that went to a few of the same spots, but Danny showed us more at those sights that we had missed on our previous tour. We stopped at a lovely restaurant where we purchased wonderful, tasty dishes and enjoyed a beautiful view. It was truly an enjoyable day.
