Nelson, our guide, was fabulous, waiting for late passengers and accommodating all our wants. A very complete tour with Geothermal springs, visiting a beautiful lake, learning about Maori traditions and watching their songs and dance, viewing of kiwi birds and Maori arts and crafts. I recommend it highly.

We loved the geothermal excursion what an amazing experience seeing the sulfur mist rising from the surface and the hot mud pits bubbling up the geyser went off when we got to the area. Watching the Mauori cultural song and dance. Our tour guide was Jamie he was knowledgeable and professional during our drive. The entire tour experience was pleasant we did not feel rushed whatsoever he stopped at appropriate times to allow us to stretch and take breaks which makes the trip very enjoyable!

Day trip to Rotorua was excellent. The day was well paced and all of the sights were really enjoyable. Our tour guide (Jason) was friendly and knowledgeable about the locations. He made the day enjoyable. Time spent at each location was adequate and I didn't feel rushed. Great experience overall! Would recommend!

Really enjoyed this trip. We had a driver who gave us a far balance of touring and resting, who was also genuinely interested in getting to know all of us by name. The geyser experiences, and kiwi house, were all a lot of fun. I wish there was some way to work a lunch time in there, but best to just be prepared with snacks. Good time had by all.

Great day tour to several stops in Rotorua as part of a small group! Our guide, Aaron, was friendly and very knowledgeable. Pick up was on time. Really enjoyed the Wai-O-Tapu, geysers, kiwi conservation centre, and Maori cultural experience at Te Puia! Highly recommend for NZ visit!

Seeing the mud pools and geyser was absolutely beautiful and amazing. The Māori culture is wonderful and loved seeing the performance. So beautiful and their singing sounds fantastic. This is definitely a must do tour.

The guide arrived 20 minutes late in the morning. The microphone didn’t work so we couldn’t hear what was being said while being seated at the back of the bus, despite vocalizing that it didn’t work. Due to the delayed departure the guide rushed the first few stops and we barely had the opportunity to see anything. We arrived with only 20 minutes to buy and consume lunch before having to be at the haka performance. The te pui experience was the only highlight of the trip. Seeing the kiwis was so amazing, we loved it! We got lucky and when we arrived at the geysers they were erupting so it was an amazing sight to see. The ride back to the hotel was prolonged with an unnecessary stop.
Overall average experience but overpriced. Te pui could’ve been done alone.

We’d also like to add that we take a great deal of pride in looking after our guests and delivering the best possible service. Your guide on the day, John, put in a lot of effort to ensure everyone was cared for throughout what is a very long and demanding day. These tours are around 12 hours in duration and involve significant driving, coordination, and guest engagement, with early starts and late finishes. Our guides genuinely do their best to manage all aspects of the day while keeping guests comfortable, informed, and safe.
Regarding the late start, as this was a small-group tour, the delay was caused by an unexpected issue at an earlier pickup. Our policy is not to leave guests behind, and while this can sometimes affect the schedule, it is done out of consideration for everyone involved and was not something the guide had control over.
We sincerely apologise for the microphone issue and appreciate you raising it. Clear communication is important, especially on longer drives, and we will be reinforcing equipment checks and providing additional training to prevent this from happening again.
Rotorua is approximately a three-hour drive from Auckland each way, and during the busy holiday season traffic conditions can be challenging. Even a short delay at the start of the day can impact the time available at stops, including lunch. Fixed entry times for experiences such as the haka performance also limit flexibility. Rest breaks on the return journey are included with guest comfort and safety in mind, particularly after a long day on the road.
We understand this may not have been the experience you were hoping for, and we appreciate your honest feedback. It helps us continue to improve while staying true to the level of care and service we pride ourselves on. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

We had an amazing Rotorua day trip, and Jason and Chris were fantastic guides. They were kind, attentive, and made everything feel effortless — from the organised check-in to making sure everyone stayed comfortable throughout the day.
The whole tour ran smoothly, with thoughtful touches like snacks and bottled water that really showed how much they cared. They looked after the entire group so well, making sure everyone felt safe, included, and supported.
Waiotapu was stunning, Te Puia was unforgettable, and the Muru Haka performance was powerful — and Jason and Chris made the experience even more memorable.

Every aspect of our tour was great. We chose the geothermal, Maori cultural tour and Haka dance. Our guide on site for the geothermal portion gave interesting facts about the area. It was also very informative to see the Maori cultural and arts area. We wanted to see the Maori Haka performance where we learned even more about the culture. As an added bonus, my son was chosen as the "chief" and participated during the welcoming ceremony, something memorable. We also saw the Kiwi bird conservation area which was awesome since they are endangered. The Maori people were very friendly. Our tour guide and driver "David" (born and raised in Aukland) roundtrip from Aukland to Rotorua was wonderful. He didn't rush us but also kept us on track. He spoke to us individually since we all chose different aspects of this tour to ensure we were informed. He provided so much detail and made stops to extra interesting points in Rotorua and on the way (hokey pokey ice cream!) since we had a few extra minutes. I think Rotorua would be nice to come for a longer visit. Hope you get David if you take this tour.

This tour is the best!
The tour wouldn’t be the same without Matt our guide. He was super organised, professional, kind and fun! He gave us a unique experience and informed us about many topics throughout the day (culture, history, etc.). The tour itself is really cool as you get to see the thermal pools which are so unique. The tour was extremely well organised and the well planned stops kept everyone super comfortable.
