Waitomo cave is absolutely beautiful, and I learned a lot while I was there. The Hobbiton Movie Set was everything I ever dreamed it would be. The attention to detail is amazing, even down to the restrooms. And the tour guides at every turn were amazing. On the bus, our guide kept us entertained and informed and I learned so much about the history of New Zealand.

This experience was better than we expected. Not only do you get great, non-rushed cave time, the glow worms are beyond interesting and beautiful. You also go through a second cave system (without glow worms) that is really cool as well. The guide at the cave was knowledgeable and passionate about the caves and their history. Our guide that drove us from Auckland to the caves (Jaime) was kind, funny and helpful, giving great commentary about the areas we were traveling through. He even had helpful recommendations on what to do and where to eat for the rest of our stay in Auckland. Highly recommend this tour - the drive to and from the caves was just as stunning as the caves themselves. The small tour group sizes are also appreciated. Don't hesitate - book it! (But also bring a warm jacket....the caves are chilly!)

What an amazing personal tour! Our guide Jonglok made the trip so special for us. He never rushed us and took several great photos of us along the way-a personal touch we very much appreciated! We also appreciated his communication with us as we prepared to meet him for our trip and letting us know of his arrival. We highly recommend Jonglok and this private tour!

Our guide Jaime, was superb! He had to change course a few times. The first was when the road closed, due to an accident and we couldn’t go through to get to Cathedral Cove. So, he drove us to this little marina area and we are lunch a bit early. The second was when we arrived and just for myself he noticed I was having a few physical challenges with Cathedral Cove. It was quite a hike, and involved quite a few stairs. So, if you have difficulty with stairs, I suggest you skip this activity, or find one that will ferry you after you have walked down. Jaime was flexible with time so that when I finally arrived I got to enjoy some time at the cove. He was also a wealth of information about the area as well as livestock, farming, and even the reindeer that reside in the mountains. The second portion of our tour was to the hot water beach. Jaime again was very flexible with timing ensuring everyone got to have a fabulous time!

We had an excellent tour including Rotorua, Waiotapu, Te Puia, and Māori. Our tour guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He was very helpful with the needs of his tour group. The sites were amazing! The geothermal springs and mud flats were amazing. The tour was enhanced by David’s selection of stops for snacks at the best bakery and ice cream shop! It was a wonderful day and the great organization made it very relaxing for us. On the way our tour guide Alessandro shared a lot of stories about the landscape and the founding of Hobbiton in particular. It was very interesting and entertaining. The van was super comfortable and water and snacks were provided.

Great tour of Auckland! Danny, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the city and shared stories and history of the area and people. We had wonderful views of the entire city and waterways from the tops of two volcanoes and drove through beautiful neighborhoods. We learned about the origins of the city and people. A tour well worth taking if coming to Auckland!
