We had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour! Dionysus was our guide, and he was fantastic. He’s super knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and answered all of our random questions not only about ancient Athens but modern topics as well. This tour is an excellent way to see Athens. If you only have one full day in the city, do this. If you have a few days, do this on day one or two so you can go back to see things you pass by on the tour or go back to neighborhoods you liked. Also, the mini-bus you travel in is super nice, with great air conditioning, leather seats, and plenty of space. Ares was our driver and navigated us around the city perfectly. Both he and Dionysus took great care of us! 10/10 recommend!

Great way to see Athens!

Perfect day seeing the sights of Athens. Elias was a great guide and very knowledgeable. It was our first time to Athens and it was so helpful to have this overview of the city. We also got tickets to enter the Acropolis and slopes and got a good explanation of everything we were going to see by Elias before we went in. A Day We Will Always Remember

My husband, daughter (10 years old), and I visited Athens during a Mediterranean cruise with a port stop from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. My husband is a philosophy professor and I am a former archaeology professor, we knew we wanted to make the most of our limited time and see as many historically significant sites as possible while in Athens. After extensive research, we chose this tour—and it exceeded every expectation. From the beginning, our driver, Anestis, provided excellent communication and was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He was also a very safe driver, and his spacious, comfortable vehicle made it easy to enjoy a full day of exploring. Along the way, he shared fascinating insights, answered countless questions, and impressed us with his knowledge of multiple languages and cultures. His friendly personality and engaging conversation made the day even more enjoyable. We also hired a licensed guide, Helen, and she was absolutely amazing. Her depth of knowledge brought Athens to life, and she tailored the experience to our specific interests. We had some unusual requests, including visits to Plato’s "original" Academy and the site traditionally associated with Socrates’ Prison. Helen not only took us to these locations but also provided thoughtful explanations of the archaeological evidence, historical context, and current scholarly understanding. We especially appreciated learning about the archaeological finds in the area, including the discovery of hemlock cups and the discussion surrounding where Socrates may have spent his final days. One of the greatest advantages of this private tour was the flexibility. We were able to ask questions, spend time taking photos, and move at our own pace. Helen expertly guided us through the museums and sites, helping us understand and appreciate what we were seeing in a way that would not have been possible on our own, especially within such a limited timeframe. To top it all off, they recommended a wonderful restaurant where we enjoyed some of the best Greek food of our trip. This tour provided exactly what we were hoping for: an engaging, educational, and deeply memorable experience of Athens. This was an absolutely fantastic tour! We saw all of the highlights and learned so much about the city. Our driver was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We had great conversation the entire time we were on the tour. He offered us water and snacks, which was such a nice gesture. Since we only had a limited amount of time, we are so happy that we were able to do this and see the city and take wonderful photos!

Petros…The Greek Guide

Petros was our guide for the walking tour. He was exceptional! Very knowledgeable and kept our group very engaged. He took his time to explain different areas of what we were seeing but also of the Greek culture. He took great photo ops and walked us through Plaka to teach us more history but also where was the local places to eat and shop. He was so helpful and even offered to help us with anything while we stayed in Greece! I would highly recommend Petros!!!

Fun and informative.

The Tuk Tuk Tour of Athens was the perfect way to kick off our first day in the city. It struck such a great balance between fun and informative—we genuinely enjoyed every minute. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable, sharing just the right amount of history without it ever feeling overwhelming. What made it especially worthwhile was how efficiently we were able to see all the key sites around Athens while getting a real sense of the city’s layout and culture. Riding through the streets in the tuk tuk added a unique, lighthearted touch that made the experience feel more personal and memorable than a typical tour. I will say—it felt a bit like being on an amusement ride at times. The tuk tuk can move pretty fast over uneven roads, which added to the thrill for us, but it may not be the best fit for anyone who prefers a smoother ride or has back issues. Highly recommend this as a first-day activity—it gave us a great foundation for the rest of our trip and set the tone in the best way.

Interesting tour

It was amazing experience with our guide Panos. He provided us with background knowledge on the Acropolis . He was on time and explained in detailed what to expect on this tour. We never felt rushed and always asked if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece.
